Hello and welcome back to Unleash Your Peace.
My name is Elie Shoja.
I am your host.
I'm a positive mindset coach,
A personal transformation expert,
And a deliberate creator.
And I've created Unleash Your Peace for spiritual beings just like yourself who want to release unwanted pain.
You want to find lasting internal peace and live your best life yet.
Because when we live from a place of joy and peace,
We don't just incrementally improve the quality of our lives.
We exponentially innovate every aspect of our experiences on this physical plane.
And that's how we become our whole beautiful powerful selves.
This is what I want for you.
Because I know when you become your whole self and every person on this planet becomes their whole self,
We level up as a society.
And it's my belief that we don't even know what humans are until we all level up and we find out what that 90% of our brains is meant for.
We're not gonna know it until we get there.
So let's wake up.
This week's topic has been quality versus the quantity of your life.
Today is the fifth and final day of this topic.
Every day we've been digging a little bit deeper into this topic,
Into this aspect of our lives.
We talked about how the human being has two parts.
The physical human part and the non-physical being part.
And when we are connected to ourselves,
When the human and the being are connected,
We are whole and we are living then from a place of joy and positivity and inspiration.
We're living an inspired life at that point.
And when we are separated from ourselves,
When the human and the being are separated,
We feel that separation in the form of negative emotions.
So we did talk about what emotions mean,
That they are completely misunderstood,
That they are actually our guides in finding our way back to ourselves so that we can become whole and live holy in this world.
Now in this fifth and final episode of this theme,
I do want to introduce you to an exercise that is really dear to my heart that has helped me quite a bit in times of distress and it's helped pull me out of those funks.
I mentioned in the last episode that when you feel the separation from yourself,
When negative emotions are present,
The best thing to do in that moment is stop the momentum of negativity.
The momentum of the negative emotion is basically you having your back turned to your light,
To your inner being and moving away from it.
Before you can turn and face the light,
You have to stop moving away first.
So you can do a lot of different things to stop that momentum.
You can take a nap like I do or watch something funny on TV or on Netflix,
Watch a romantic comedy.
Some people listen to music or paint or do something creative that helps them stop the momentum and gets their minds off of it.
Let's say you did stop the momentum.
How do you find your way back into the light?
And that's what I want to talk to you today about.
And there's an exercise that I like to participate in that I developed a number of years ago that has been very effective for me.
It's very very simple and it works really well if you're doing it with a partner.
And if you're doing it with a partner,
I would recommend sitting across from this person and one of you starts and says I am thankful for and you fill in the blank.
For example,
You might say I am thankful for my health and the other person might say I am thankful for the fact that my legs take me everywhere that I want to go.
And then it comes back to you and you say I'm thankful for the fact that I can pay rent and the other person says I'm thankful for and so on.
And you go back and forth and back and forth for as long as you possibly can.
Even when you think you've run out of things to be thankful for,
You want to keep pushing yourself and keep going.
Because what ends up happening in this exercise is quite powerful and you don't want to miss out on that.
When you start this exercise,
It might initially be a little bit difficult to come up with something.
And your examples,
The things you're thankful for will be very general and very broad.
But as you keep going and as you keep building the energy of gratitude between you,
You start feeling that palpable energy rising up.
And as this happens,
Your examples,
The things you're grateful and thankful for,
Become more and more specific.
I'm thankful for the chirping of the birds that I'm hearing right now.
I'm thankful for the way the leaves on that tree are dancing right now.
I'm thankful for this breeze.
I'm thankful for how warm and cozy this room feels.
And the things that you are thankful for start being more immediate in your experience.
And what's actually happening is you're coming more and more into the present moment and you're coming more and more into the experience of this moment in time.
And in the last episode,
We mentioned that your inner being is in the now.
It is not in the past and it is not in the future.
It is in the now.
It is in the intense present moment.
And if you can come to this moment in an attitude of gratitude,
Then you will connect with your inner being.
You will have found your way back.
So this exercise will do exactly that.
It will help you come into the present moment in a complete attitude of gratitude.
You will feel such joy and upliftment and you might even feel your heart expanding as you go through this exercise.
So every time you feel like you've run out of things to be thankful for,
Dig a little bit deeper and find something else.
Find something right in front of you.
Find something that you really truly appreciate.
If you have a family,
This is a beautiful exercise to do with your children and with your husband or with your wife.

I really enjoyed this five-day series on quality versus quantity. I really like the gratitude interchange between two people expressing even the smallest thing that they are grateful for. Thank you for this five day lesson. I learned a lot!
