Hello and welcome back to Unleash Your Peace.
This is Ellie Shoja.
I am your host.
I'm a positive mindset coach,
A personal transformation expert and a deliberate creator.
If you want to release unwanted pain,
If you want to find lasting internal peace and live your best life yet,
You are in the right place.
The motivation for creating this podcast was to share this message of love and positivity,
Because I know that when we all live from a place of love and joy and peace,
We don't just incrementally improve the quality of our lives,
We exponentially innovate every aspect of our physical experiences on this physical plane.
And I know that when each of us does this,
The world becomes a better and more beautiful place,
Because the more of us become whole and become our beautiful,
Powerful selves,
The more beautiful this world becomes.
And this is my wish for you and this is my wish for our wonderful planet that we share.
Now let's get started.
This week,
We're talking about the quality versus the quantity of our lives.
So on Monday,
We talked about how the human being has two parts,
The human and the beingness,
The physical and the nonphysical,
And how these two parts are linked to the quantity and the quality of our lives.
And on Tuesday,
We introduced this idea that your thoughts are the language of the mind of the human part of us,
And that our emotions are the language of our hearts or the nonphysical part of us,
Because our hearts are the bridge between the physical and the nonphysical.
And yesterday,
We talked about how the emotions we have are the most misunderstood tools in our arsenal,
That they're not here to make us suffer.
And their purpose is actually to let us know where we are in proximity to our inner beings,
To our higher selves,
To that nonphysical part of ourselves.
Now,
In this episode,
I want to talk about why negative emotions feel negative and why positive emotions feel positive.
The reason negative emotions feel so bad is because we are actually experiencing a separation from our higher selves,
A separation from what and who we actually are.
Now,
If you imagine the human being,
A line cutting through the human and the being part of us and separating us,
We are splitting ourselves into two when we walk away from our beingness.
So then we experience negative emotions.
We experience things that don't feel good.
What we're actually experiencing is separation that manifests itself into a plethora of different types of emotions,
Ranging from jealousy and hopelessness to depression and anxiety and suicidal thoughts and behavior.
In contrast to this,
When we feel connected to our higher self,
To our beingness,
When the human being is whole,
Then we experience positive emotions that feel good.
And that's why they feel so good.
So then one could say there are actually just two states of being.
There is separation and there is connectedness.
When we are separated,
We have deemed ourselves human only.
We are a drop in the ocean that thinks there is no ocean.
When we are connected to ourselves,
We become the ocean in that drop.
Isn't that what Rumi said so beautifully?
You're not a drop in the ocean.
You are the entire ocean in a drop.
When you have negative emotions coming up,
They are not here to torture you and make you suffer.
And you don't have to suffer.
They simply are an indicator that you are in this moment separated from your higher inner being.
And what is the solution to separation?
It's to walk toward your inner being.
So whatever you're doing that is making you feel bad,
Stop doing it.
Stop.
Sit down and change your energy.
Sometimes when I'm in a funk,
When I'm experiencing a negative emotion that tells me I'm separated from my inner being,
I will take a nap or I will watch a comedy show or I will read something funny or I'll watch something really silly on the internet.
Dog videos or cat videos or something like that.
Because I know that momentum of the negative emotion,
All of those negative thoughts that reiterate that negative emotion,
That has to stop.
Because wherever I am,
I need to stop moving away from my inner being before I can turn around and move toward it.
So a nap will stop me in my tracks.
Watching a romantic comedy will stop me in my tracks.
Watching cat videos on the internet will stop me in my tracks.
What stops the momentum for you might be different.
You might want to listen to music.
You might want to get up and dance.
You might want to paint something.
Whatever it is you need to do to stop the momentum of the negative emotion that is taking you away from your inner being,
Just do that thing and stop that momentum in its track.
And once the momentum is stopped,
All we need to do is turn around and look inward.
Look toward where that light is.
It is inside of you.
It is in the present moment.
It is where your mind is clear and your heart is open because remember your mind creates the language of the body and your heart carries the language of your inner being.
So in those times when you want to find your inner being,
Stop looking for it with your mind.
Stop looking for it with your logic,
With your thoughts and start feeling your way back into a more connected space.
So today I will leave you with that and until tomorrow you can find Peace Unleashed on Instagram to get your daily dose of love notes from me.
