Feeling grounded with your partner.

These instructions are for each person who is listening to do within themselves,

Except as noted along the way within this guided meditation.

Take a moment and get comfortable in a seated position.

You can close your eyes or soften your gaze.

Take a deep breath in and a longer breath out.

Again,

A deep breath in and a longer breath out.

Feel contact points between your feet and the floor or the surface which they are on.

Feel the textures of your clothing as they surround many parts of your body.

Feel your bottom connected to your seat cushion or the surface on which you are sitting.

Feel your lower back supported.

Feel the vertebrae in your back stacking upward,

Giving you an upright stretch.

Feel your head floating upward.

Feel your eyes within your eye sockets.

Feel your jaw sitting softly and comfortably.

As your body becomes more grounded,

Take a moment to appreciate who you are and what is true for you.

Return to you beyond all the to-do lists of the day,

Beyond the life concerns.

If you can,

Think back to who you were prior to any childhood wounds or difficult life circumstances.

To the true essence of you.

And there is a physical space between you and your partner.

Allow the space and the edges around you to help you find out what you want for yourself.

Allow the space and the edges around you to help you to notice how you would like to connect with your partner.

Now take a moment to open your eyes and look directly into your partner's eyes.

Breathe at an even pace as you do this for about 30 seconds.

End this moment with a facial expression of acceptance of both yourself and your partner.

Exchange a thank you to the other.

And then reclose your eyes or soften your gaze.

Take a moment to become aware of your breath,

The inhalation and exhalation,

Allowing yourself to be breathed.

Bask in the full relaxation of the moment.

When you're ready,

You can reopen your eyes or sharpen your awareness of being within the room or the space you're in.

Looking around for yourself.

And as this exercise ends,

You might choose to jot down any experiences that you would like.

And you can choose to invite your partner to talk about anything that came up at a time that is good for both of you.

Thank you so much for your participation.
