I'm inviting you to create a little bit more space in your mind. I can be often touched by strong emotions, and as they continue I notice how they are in a tiny box I put them into. And when I open that box like the space of my mind I often create more beautiful results in coming back to harmony. So if you are interested in creating that right now, join me for this guided meditation.

Hi,

My name is Alexandra and today I want to invite you to create a little bit more space in your mind.

I can be often touched by strong emotions and as they continue I notice how they are like in a tiny box I put them into and they have a full way to fit.

But when I open that box like the space of my mind I often create more beautiful results in coming back to a harmony.

So if you're interested in creating that for you right now I invite you to step in with me to this meditation to create space of openness that might help you to gain fresh perspective and discover your experience in a brand new way.

So let's begin.

Take some time,

Find a comfortable seat and when you're ready you can begin to close your eyes.

By any means make any necessary adjustment at times when you need to and keep prioritizing your comfort so you can really focus.

And as you're settling in can you release any unnecessary tension?

Invite yourself to relax into an open grounded posture and when you're ready you can begin to turn the attention in and come into contact with the flow of your breath.

Can you observe the texture of the breath in this moment?

What does the breath feel like?

And if you are clear maybe you can invite more harmony with the breathing body on the count of six beginning to inhale deeply and breathing out through the nose.

Breathing in like this twice.

Noticing the entire body opening up as you inhale and gently collapsing as you exhale.

One more time.

And now release your breath from any conscious control.

Let it resume its rhythm.

Begin to align with this flow from moment to moment.

Rest in this for a moment and notice if your mind begins to settle with each passing breath.

Begin to explore.

Begin to explore the experience of this moment.

And ask yourself,

What is the experience like right now?

What is my experience of this moment?

And can you be open to this experience at all or is there judgment,

Strategy,

Asking yourself for results?

Or just listen with presence.

Pray from assumption or habit and simply notice what arises in response to the inquiry.

What is this moment like?

And notice how it feels to meet your experience with inquiry rather than assumption with a curious mind rather than the habit-bound mind.

And as you continue to settle into that openness,

Notice how you make room for discovery.

And maybe you are assessing your experience in an entirely new way.

In meditation practices,

We often compare thoughts and emotions to clouds.

Like if your entire being would be the sky,

The summer blue sky,

Radiant and full of light.

Anything that happens within your mind is like a cloud.

So observing your difficult emotions like a cloud,

Being curious and also noticing how little space they take up in the sky is a way of dealing with and accessing these emotions without having attachments to it.

And it creates a different outlook to the situation.

It creates curiosity and acceptance.

And you can tell yourself this is just an experience.

Strong emotion is an experiencing of hell.

And as you transition out of this practice,

Returning to the ground,

To the feeling of groundedness in your seat,

In your support,

Allow this intention to inspire the way you meet the rest of the day.

And then wiggle your fingers and the toes,

Lift your gaze and arrive back into wherever you are seated.

And however your day continues or finishes,

Can you rest in this state of openness?

Allow yourself to be surprised by your experiences.

So thank you for sharing your practice with me today and I hope to see you soon.
