So,
In this line of coming into presence and being,
We are often disturbed by our own mind.
So today's meditation we will meet our minds with tenderness and compassion.
And as you're getting ready to be with yourself in this very moment,
Invite yourself to adopt a tender approach towards the experience of this mind meditation and to whatever is rising for you.
Settle into a posture of stillness,
Soften the gaze and take a moment to land in this room.
And as you bring your attention inward with an open mind,
Scan the experience of your internal life,
Simply observing what this moment feels like to you.
Whether you're noticing the busyness of the mind,
Some disagree of discomfort or tension in the body,
Invite your buenas to soften into the experience just as it is.
Shift from the attention to control to the intention to gently inquire,
Become curious,
And know that you can find the truth in this experience as it is to release your own suffering.
So whatever is arising for you at this moment,
Can you meet that experience with tenderness?
This may look like letting your experience unfold as it may want to with a gentle soothing touch or gently breathing into any areas of discomfort or tightness,
Perhaps even placing a hand over the heart onto the belly,
Ensuring that the body knows that it's supported and safe.
And as you continue to observe the unfolding of your experience,
Notice how you can meet that with tenderness and compassion.
There is no right or wrong here,
No right or wrong thought,
No right or wrong emotion,
No right or wrong expression of your posture.
And as the mind jumps forward into the result that this meditation might bring to you,
Gently come back with tenderness and know that life is expressing itself through you.
And as you slowly rise from this practice,
Take a moment to locate the breath,
Begin to inhale deeply on the count of six,
Softly breathe out whenever you're ready,
Lift the gaze,
Open your eyes and bring your attention back into this room.
