This meditation is intended to be a reset of perspective. When things are difficult turn here to find acceptance. Life is up and down, it is inevitable, and yet we have the power to create our own experience. I hope you benefit from this practice.

Breathe in through your nose,

Because then it enters deep into your lungs and not shallow in your chest.

Exhale through your mouth,

Slowly,

Like you're blowing into a straw.

This indicates to your nervous system that you are safe.

You are at rest.

In nose,

And slowly out mouth.

If you continue the rhythm of deep inhales and slow exhales,

You will find your body in a state of peace through this practice.

If you find your mind scattering,

You are doing well.

You are noticing.

Bring your attention back to the breath,

And don't worry if it reoccurs.

Brain chatter is normal.

Brain chatter is fine.

Just note it.

Because brain chatter occurs in meditation,

It is not the goal,

But it is not an issue either.

As so goes life,

Two things that don't support each other can both be true.

Opposition carries unity.

The outside of our skin does not resemble the insides of our flesh,

Yet they are one.

Outside and inside,

Dark and light,

Joy and devastation,

All rely on each other.

It's simple in life to lean into extremes.

When things are difficult,

Everything seems difficult.

When we lose our phone,

We forget to appreciate that we still have our keys.

In moments of joy,

We repel negativity so as not to taint our heavenly experience.

We wish it would stay this way forever,

Sometimes so stubbornly that the taint that occurs is the inevitable expectation of the happiness ending.

In life,

Everything begins and ends.

Everything is good and bad.

Nothing is one or the other,

Because one does not exist without the other.

How joyful would it be to bask in the sun if the rain never poured?

Would it mean a thing?

When things go in a direction we do not want and cannot control,

It could be the universe's way of reminding us of our abundance.

Reminding us that we are holding so much value that we forget to assign.

You lost your phone,

But you could have lost your keys and your wallet.

If you lost all three,

You wouldn't be nonchalant of the presence of the wallet and the keys.

Perspective is our greatest tool.

We choose our thoughts,

However subconsciously we create our experience.

We decide what we see.

We can look at the cold white wall ahead of us,

Or turn around and enjoy the view.

If we erotically accept that life will be painful and beautiful,

And they rely on each other to exist,

We minimize the resistance of pain.

When we hide pain in a box it tends to get antsy,

Breaking free at the most inconvenient of times.

Yet if we process the devastation,

Feel the pain and peace,

We allow ourselves to continue life without the added pressure of fear,

In keeping an overflowing box large.
