As you close your eyes and your awareness begins to sink,

I would invite you to notice what is it that you hear.

Ideally,

You hear my voice.

Perhaps you are also hearing people in your house moving around.

Maybe you're in public and there are noises clattering around you.

Cars,

Traffic,

Air conditioning or heaters running in the background.

Rather than trying to will those sounds away,

Rather than trying to create an environment of perfect silence,

I invite you to come into acceptance of this now moment.

Allow the noises and allow the distractions to be what they may.

We can only control where it is that our attention goes and how it is that we feel about what is happening around and inside of us.

So as you continue to breathe,

I would invite you to open up your head chakra,

Your crown chakra,

Your third eye chakra.

And if you're not sure what that means,

See if you can just almost like take an energetic q-tip.

Clean out your ears.

You can imagine yourself almost like washing your hair,

Washing your head.

Clearing out any energy that is blocking or coming between you and the ancestors and the guides and the universal energy that is outside of you.

As your awareness starts to open up,

You can invite in your benevolent ancestors,

Your benevolent spirit guides,

Your friendly neighborhood,

Ghosts even,

To come and join this practice of helping you to feel supported.

Because ultimately that is the goal of this practice today.

It's to remind us that we are a part of a greater and connected whole.

That we perhaps have this idea of our singular identity.

That we are separate from our neighbors.

That we are separate from our family.

That we are separate from our friends.

But that separateness is just an illusion.

We are in fact connected on a cellular level.

And so I would invite you now to open up that soul space,

That heart chakra,

That center of your being,

Where love radiates and generates out.

You can call to mind three faces of loved ones,

Who you admire,

Adore,

Feel so strongly about.

And by bringing them into our mind's eye and into our hearts,

We begin to radiate out some of that love that we have for them.

That space below our belly button.

We are going to ground down into Mother Earth by visualizing our bellies expanding out and creating almost like this safe haven for us to be rooted and connected to Mother Earth energy.

So now with our crown,

Our third eye,

Our heart and our root chakras open and flowing,

We can turn our attention inwards and begin to observe what it is that we are feeling about ourselves.

Are you ready to identify those biases that you might have,

Which are preventing you from cultivating the vision and the revolution that you desire?

And if you're not ready now,

That's perfectly fine.

Maybe this isn't the moment,

But I would encourage you to come back when there is capacity to do the internal work of observing yourself so that you can clear out the things that are getting in the way of your own evolution.

And if you are ready now and you have those ideas,

Those thoughts percolating in your mind,

You can envision each one with an individual little bud,

A little root nodule sort of dangling from the bottom.

And you can envision yourself picking up a gardening spade and beginning to dig it out,

To uproot it.

And as you dig it out,

Remind yourself there is nothing inherently bad about your garden,

That it has this thought.

Rather,

You are a considerate gardener for taking the time to examine and evaluate and tend to the plants that you want to flourish.

And so as those different thoughts and those different roots begin to come up and out of your garden,

You can take a moment to hold it in your vision,

In your hands,

And then slowly begin to rub your palms together and allow that little bud,

That root of a thought,

To turn into dust and to blow away.

You can return to this practice as often as you need.

Now that you've been here before,

You don't even need me to guide you.

Whenever one of these thoughts arises in your mind,

Remember your capacity as a gardener.

You always have the capability to change and adjust your thoughts.

I would like to close by inviting you to imagine three new flowers of your choosing.

They can be roses,

They can be sunflowers,

They can be daffodils,

They can be daisies,

They can be really any plant that you would desire.

See if you can associate this flower,

Each one,

With a new thought,

Idea that supports the vision that you want for your life.

Maybe something like,

I am connected to a greater whole.

I love my neighbor and I love myself.

Whatever it is that feels good and resonant for you now,

Associate that thought with these new flowers and begin to pick up your spade and plant them in that empty,

Fertile soil.

Maybe you sing a little song to your flowers while you plant them.

Maybe you have a little watering can next to you and you pick that up and whisper sweet affirmations to these new thoughts.

I love you.

I'm grateful for you.

I promise to take care of you.

Kind,

Encouraging words so that these thoughts will flourish.

When you are ready,

You can stand up from your garden and take a look at your new flowers as they stand tall and perhaps blow in the breeze.

You can wipe the dirt off your knees and turn your face towards the sky.

You can use the sunlight,

The starlight,

The breeze,

Whatever to kiss your face.

As you remember that you have the support,

Not only of everyone else who engages in this practice with you,

Myself included,

But also your ancestors,

Your guides,

Mother Earth herself.

So if you'd like to give yourself one final little hug.

And when you're ready,

You can open your eyes and come back into this space.
