Everyone.

Good afternoon,

Wherever you are,

And welcome to this week's Weekly Energy Boost.

My name is Ali Sheva,

And I'm joined this morning by brilliant speaker,

Teacher,

And all-around human being extraordinaire,

Batya Salomon.

We are here this morning to share with you the wisdom from the teachings of Kabbalah on finding and communicating with spiritual guides,

Whether in this physical world or the metaphysical world.

And we at the Weekly Energy Boost,

We strive to give our listeners the most practical and powerful tools to navigate not only the coming week or the coming month,

But their entire lives.

And we do that through looking at the wisdom of Kabbalah.

This week particularly has within it the opportunity to tap into so much more than meets the eye,

And we want to make sure that everyone listening has the opportunity to do that.

That's one of the reasons Batya is here,

Is that she is a mind over matter manifester.

I could invent a new phrase.

And for those of you who have been listening for any period of time,

You know Batya is a regular guest on the show.

The reason really that we picked this topic,

And if this is your first time listening,

The real understanding or the background behind this week's topic is that we are in constant communication with the universe.

I think we said it a few weeks ago,

Our thoughts are a form of prayer.

Human beings are pure desire.

And so if we want answers,

We will get them.

The question is always really are we open to receive those questions.

And that's one of the things we want to talk about today.

Batya,

I know I kind of caught you off guard in inviting you to the show this morning,

But when I said,

Can you join me this morning,

And we're talking about finding space,

And finding spiritual guidance,

What came to mind?

Well after being a student of Kabbalah since 1990,

I've noticed that the universe doesn't make any mistakes,

And that it says in Kabbalah that a person is led according to their desire.

And I always desire to be with you,

And hang out with you,

And be on your show.

So I've learned that when circumstances change,

And I used to be the kind of,

Let me go back,

I used to be the kind of person that type A personality,

I still have that.

I was going to say,

You still.

Yeah,

I know,

Right?

We need that.

But no,

More than,

But I would be such a control freak that everything had to happen according to my schedule,

According to my understanding,

According to my teeny weeny little box of my gigantic ego.

And then when things wouldn't happen,

Who can I blame,

Who can I judge,

Be a victim of the whole circumstance?

And then I come to the center,

And as you know,

Being teachers in the center,

Every day is a workshop,

Every day is a spiritual boot camp.

So when things don't work my way,

I've learned now,

Or according to my plan,

I say,

Oh wow,

What does the Creator have in store for me today?

So it's very exciting.

So I learned to appreciate and look for the surprises in life.

I said,

Oh,

Okay,

There's something I'm meant to do today.

What a great opportunity.

It's always a pleasure to be with you,

And always a pleasure to be on your fantastic show.

So yeah,

So my spirit guides,

I always feel like I have,

And it's true,

We do,

Whether you feel it or not,

You do have a team of spirit guides around you all the time.

You may not know it,

Maybe you don't feel like it,

And the only reason why you wouldn't feel like it is only because you're not paying attention.

So it's these little things where you think Monday's going to turn out this way,

And then it turns out something completely different.

Please don't ever think that you made a mistake or it's a failure.

No,

It just means there's a higher plan for you,

And I encourage you to embrace it and go with it.

Well,

One of the things that we talked about,

And Batcha touched on it so beautifully just now,

In the first episode in the series,

We talked about what is spirituality,

What is spiritual work?

And I think in looking at the domain of spiritual guidance,

We have to first give it some context.

The assumption,

If you're listening,

Is that you're on some version of a spiritual path,

You're seeking a spiritual path,

Which means in many ways taking responsibility for that which is,

That which was,

And that which will be,

And being a part of elevating every opportunity that you have,

Elevating consciousness,

Elevating relationships,

Bringing things to their highest good,

Expressing love and kindness wherever possible,

And of course transforming what Batcha alluded to,

The ego.

The ego is a big part of the conversation we have here.

And I think that when there's a certain point on our spiritual journey where we look at who we are and how much potential for change there is,

It can sometimes feel like an impossible task.

Right?

Look at all the garbage I have to transform.

Look at all the mistakes I've made,

As you said.

There's no mistakes,

But there's a certain point,

I know I've had it,

I know that the students that I work with have it here and there.

How can I even make a dent in the task list that my soul has chosen?

And for me,

It's always a good time,

I think now it's a good time to remember that we're not here to do it all.

We're really completing the work of those souls that came before us,

Including our own soul.

I have news for you.

We're not here to do anything.

We're here to be.

There we go.

We're here to be.

And so one of the illusions of this world,

If you've studied Kabbalah,

If you could spell Kabbalah,

Then you know that this world is made up of ten dimensions.

So there's a piece of,

Most of us,

99% of who we are is not even in this dimension.

We're immortal souls.

I've said this before,

I'll say it again,

Keep reminding us.

We're immortal souls.

Here in this world,

We're wearing our little virtual reality suits,

Don't over-identify with it,

Don't worry about the suit.

The suit is here to serve us according to our state of beingness.

So when we're in a state of beingness,

Which is God-like,

Let's say,

What does that mean?

We know that we use the word the light force,

That is,

We're swimming in it,

The light force,

The energy field that this whole entire world is made up of in different dimensions.

So if you think of a dimension as,

Let's say,

Like color,

Right?

So in this dimension,

Color would be,

Let's say,

Dark midnight blue,

Right?

It's so dark and thick and opaque.

And as you go up to higher dimensions,

The color gets lighter and lighter and lighter until there is no color anymore.

It's pure transparency,

Let's say,

Right?

And so down here in this dimension,

We're swimming in darkness.

We just don't see the bigger picture.

We're not meant to because that's the game of life.

The game of life,

As I said,

My soul committed to coming to this world to act out my creator nature,

To be pure,

Loving,

And sharing all the time,

Not worrying about what's going to happen to me.

Not playing with an agenda,

Just purely loving,

Doing my best to resist the temptations of the illusions of this world.

So in doing that,

That sets us up.

So what is the illusion of this world?

Illusion of this world is I do everything.

If I don't do it,

It won't get done,

Right?

Classic type A personality.

Classic personality of a person who's running on fear.

That's a fear-based mindset.

If I don't do it,

It won't get done.

If I want to get done,

Because I'm not supported,

Because I'm all alone.

I'm only here.

People disappoint me.

People abandon me.

People hurt me.

So I have to close my heart and take care of myself.

But actually,

The game is,

And I call it a game because we keep coming back for more and more rounds of this game till we get it right,

Is in spite of all that or because of all that,

I'm making a new choice.

I'm choosing to be open,

To be more loving,

To allow myself to be supported by this thing called the light force of the creator.

So when we're allowing ourselves to be supported,

How do we allow ourselves to be supported?

Practice being.

Be a human being,

Not a human doing.

Practice being and taking control of the virtual reality suit and practice being.

What does it feel to be in a state of love,

In a state of receptivity?

Which brings us to today's topic of spirit guides or guidance,

Being open to receiving.

So if I only spoke Chinese,

I would get the message in Chinese.

If I only spoke Greek or I can understand Greek,

I'd get the message in Greek.

Same thing.

If I have a mindset of fear and we throw out a request,

Let's say,

Or look for a sign that I'm right,

What's going to bounce back?

Evidence that my fear-based reality is correct.

But if I,

Let's say,

Are living in an abundant mindset,

I'm choosing to live in an abundant mindset and I make a request of the universe,

Let's say,

What's going to come back reflected back to me is more abundance.

If it's coming from a place of love,

It's going to come back as love,

Sharing,

Et cetera.

So not all advice is equal.

We have to think about that.

People go to other people for advice all the time.

We have to think about who is the person you're asking.

For example,

If you have marital issues and you're asking somebody who's divorced and has made the correction there,

You're going to get a slanted view,

Let's say,

Right?

Or somebody.

.

.

Well,

I think it depends.

You know,

If you're,

I can think of many times where myself,

Friends of mine,

I'm sure it happened to you as well,

We went to our teachers for guidance and we didn't get a direct answer.

And you hear the.

.

.

No,

But we went to our teachers.

That's my point there.

So let's say what a lot of people do.

A lot of people go to their friends and they'll ask for advice.

But are they really asking for advice?

No.

99% of the time they ask for agreement.

And I've seen people go to our teacher,

Karen,

And Rob Berg,

Right?

I've seen this in my own eyes.

Someone will go to Karen and ask for advice,

But they didn't really want to hear the advice.

They wanted to hear agreement.

We have to be very careful what our agenda is about what we're asking for.

Why am I asking for that?

And who am I asking for it?

Because how many people do you.

.

.

And maybe you've done it yourself.

You go to,

Let's say,

10 different friends or 10 different psychics or 10 different doctors or 10 different whatever.

And you're waiting for the answer that feels like,

Oh yeah,

That's right.

That's what I was thinking all along.

Yeah,

That's right.

Right.

So Batya brings up a very important point.

And we've had questions about our work as teachers,

As mentors to people.

The advantage we look for in having a spiritual teacher in the physical world is to find somebody who is impartial,

Right?

It's very difficult to.

.

.

Let's put it this way.

When you want to excel in your career,

You may look for a mentor who has experience,

Who has connections,

Who you value their achievements,

And you work under their wing,

Quote unquote.

Finding a spiritual guide or a spiritual teacher,

A mentor,

Is more of.

.

.

It's not about how much they've accomplished because we all have a tycoon,

Right?

We talk about this in almost every episode.

Every single one of us has our own spiritual work to do.

There's a perfect plan designed to get us there.

And everybody is at their own stage and pace and no two tycoons are alike.

So I've had people say,

Well,

Oh,

You're a mom with a lot of kids.

I want you to be my teacher.

I have a lot of kids too.

That doesn't.

.

.

The fact that I have a lot of kids.

It doesn't make you a good mom.

It doesn't.

First of all,

It's actually,

It's funny that you.

.

.

Somebody wrote into the show once and said,

Can you tell me the top five things you do to be a good mom?

And I answered her,

It's going to be different for every parent that you ask because every parent has different challenges and different stretches and different gifts.

So the reason I bring that up is because in looking for someone who can inspire you,

Why even have a spiritual teacher?

Somebody who can inspire you,

Somebody who will challenge you and push you.

And I think the most valuable part is that they can see into your blind spot.

Well,

Also they have to be a little more spiritually elevated.

Let's face it.

That's for sure.

But no,

You can't assume anything here.

You know,

We got to say that.

Good point.

Good point.

And also it's experience counts.

Experience is the best teacher as they say.

Right?

But we do,

Well,

But let me just say this that we even,

Let's say a person has the right intention,

Right?

I'm seeking advice because I want to be a better human being.

I'm seeking advice because I want to go to my next level of spirituality.

And based on what are the seed of our intention,

The universe listens to us,

The light force listens to us and will put that person in your path to give you what your soul desires,

Not what your ego mind desires.

And that might look like sometimes the wrong advice.

I have a great story about that.

Yeah,

Let's hear it.

There's,

Well,

The truth,

What Batya is saying is that.

.

.

But it'll be for the right purpose.

It'll get you where you need to go.

The gift of what Batya is sharing is that when you designate that person,

They become an even stronger channel for you.

And there's a story about a Kabbalist who lived hundreds of years ago that he had a few people in his waiting room and one of them wrote on their little intake form,

I have a skin issue,

Please help me.

And another person wrote in,

I have financial challenges,

Please help.

Any advice is welcome.

So the intake forms were gathered,

The Kabbalist wrote the prescriptions and his assistant brought them back to all the people in the waiting room,

But he mixed up those two people's responses.

So the man with the financial issue was told to rub olive oil all over his body and the man with the skin issue was told to give a certain amount of charity and he did whatever.

And both of them did what they were told and both of them healed from their challenge.

Yes.

How do you explain that?

Right.

That is the knowledge,

The certainty.

And I've also,

I mean,

I'm sure you did as well.

I've been given guidance by my teachers that is uncomfortable,

But led me to an even better place than I thought I wanted to be when I asked for the help.

Well,

That's the key because it's one thing to have a guide and it's another thing to listen to the guide.

Right.

So I know as a teacher and as a mentor,

Counseling people,

You know,

I lost count how many,

Those people that designated me as their channel,

I was able to channel,

Amazing for them.

And those people that would not let go,

Would not open their heart,

Would not trust,

The connection wasn't there.

It's nothing special about me,

By the way.

It's about you're the being and it's up to you.

What do you really want?

What do you really want to get out of life?

If you,

If you aim low,

You're gonna,

You're gonna get a low,

You're gonna make a goal,

But it'll be a low goal.

If you aim high,

You're gonna get a better goal.

You know,

You're gonna manifest better things.

And to that point,

Whenever we're,

Whatever we're going to talk about,

Whatever we've talked about thus far,

When we even mentioned asking a spiritual guide for guidance,

Advice,

Et cetera,

What we're really saying is creator guide me.

You fill in the word that you're comfortable with using.

It may be God,

Spirit,

Universe.

I'm looking for guidance from the almighty,

The omnipotent one,

That unifying force that it's behind all of what's going on,

Not only the cameras and the microphones,

But literally every life,

Every one of the 7 billion movies taking place right now,

We're asking from source and we are,

We have designated a channel,

A mouthpiece for that.

Now it's not only in the realm of human beings that we can do that.

There is,

And by the way,

It's,

You know,

Batya mentioned something,

You mentioned about going to friends for the confirmation agreements.

The pity party.

The pity party.

It is possible.

And I highly recommend,

We talked about it a little bit last week,

Having spiritual friends as sound pieces as well.

It's not,

It's not only designate,

What we talked about last week was more about the horizontal connection,

Having people around you,

Recognizing that not only are your friends and your family part of your spiritual community,

Whether they're spiritual or not,

But also what you read,

What you listen to,

What you watch,

All of those components,

Everything we surround ourselves is really part of our spiritual community and striving to have a more elevated experience,

Striving to,

You can go back and listen to last week.

But my point is that even the,

Someone is asking here in the comments,

Can't our challenges be our spiritual teachers too?

If you want to go the painful way,

Feel free.

I was just going to say,

By the way,

I'm on the,

Some sort of a telepathic link with that person,

But I was just going to say,

You know,

So what do you need Kabbalah for?

What do you need a spiritual teacher for?

You just,

You know,

Talk to God and go out in the street and you know,

You see who you see,

Okay,

If you're on that level of certainty,

Go right ahead.

However,

There are different ways,

The purpose or the benefit that I find in learning Kabbalah and being in this path is that we're going to get from here to our goal,

Let's say,

But how do you want to get there?

Do you want to get there all knocked out and bruised and beat up or would you like to get there in a merciful way?

So it's like learning from other people's mistakes.

It's hearing the advice.

How many times do we have to hear something?

You know,

When I teach,

I teach the same thing like in a thousand different ways,

But it's basically the same messages and quite frankly,

I need to hear them myself every day.

I need to be reminded every day as well because this world is the world of forgetfulness.

This is the world of lies where everything is the opposite of what's really important.

We chase after things that are totally meaningless and unimportant.

Do you think that there's anybody lying on their deathbed that said,

Oh man,

I should have gotten another pair of those monolabonic shoes or why didn't I invest in AT&T when I had,

You know,

Like,

You know,

No,

You know what people are thinking?

Who didn't I forgive?

Who do I want to ask forgiveness for?

Who do I want to clean up my,

Who do I want to remove the space for?

I'm asking for forgiveness or I want to forgive or,

You know,

The most important things are,

Again,

I'm going to go back to it,

State of being.

It's not the state of accumulating.

Not that you shouldn't have beautiful things and wonderful parties and,

You know,

And stuff like that,

Yeah.

But what makes life worth living is the relationships we have.

And the relationships we have are give and take.

Everything comes from source.

And it's about anything you want.

That advice never came from that person anyway.

Whoever it is,

It's their ability to channel for you that is really,

I think,

The crucial key here.

And again,

You can take advice and go the hard route or go,

And sometimes we have to go the hard route because,

You know,

People like me,

First of all,

I'm very stubborn.

I'm a slow learner myself.

So I got to get beat up,

Unfortunately,

So many times in my life before I got the lesson.

So I'm out here preaching to you like,

Oh,

Yes,

Listen to,

You know,

Because anyway,

If we don't,

It's,

We live in a world of cause and effect.

But here,

The purpose of the weekly energy boost is the guidance and the,

You know,

You're hearing this message for a reason.

You're listening to this for a reason.

This is a sign for you.

Take the higher road.

Take the better road.

Speed up your soul correction process,

Which at least I've referred to as tikkun.

Soul correction.

Every soul comes to this world and says,

Here's a piece of consciousness that I commit to elevating from a lower state to a higher state,

From a closed heart to an open heart,

To be having all the reasons to be a taker and shifting into being a giver.

This is really the essence of life.

And we're here to help each other.

You know,

We give each other advice all the time.

I mean,

We consult with each other all the time,

As well as our teachers in body and out of body,

Right?

Whether it's asking the creator or whoever it is you pray to or you feel,

You know,

Is a higher level and you ask them,

Please,

You know,

I'm going to go to sleep now and I wake up in the morning.

I'm going to have an answer.

Give me a dream.

Give me a sign.

How many of us ask for signs?

And that's great.

It's a little more convenient to speak to a human being,

But if you're into signs,

That's okay.

We'll get there.

We'll get there.

I want to throw you one more question before we move on to the other kinds of guidance we can get.

How do you find a spiritual teacher?

I was walking down the street,

By the way,

Fifth Avenue,

1990.

My life was all about making money.

I thought that was going to be my secret of happiness.

I discovered it wasn't.

But a lot of people still haven't discovered that yet.

They think it's all about something physical is going to make us happy.

Anyway,

I'm walking down the street and there's across Fifth Avenue,

There's a table and it says Kabbalah.

I said,

Wow,

I've studied so many different spiritualities.

I call myself a workshop junkie.

I would go to every workshop,

Every self-improvement workshop there was.

And all roads,

No matter what I studied or learned about,

All roads led to Kabbalah.

I said,

Oh my God,

Look at that.

It's a sign.

I would go over there,

Picked up some books.

Happened to be coincidentally an intro lecture,

Which I missed,

By the way.

But that was directed.

Go to that meeting.

Go to that lecture.

I went to the first class.

I was hooked.

I was hooked.

So there is a sign.

I can't imagine by having teachers who guide me,

I think just adds years to my life.

Nobody ever knows how old I am.

They never get to meet someone who actually guessed my age.

And I believe,

And they say this not just about me,

But a lot of people,

Especially teachers in the center,

Look much,

Much younger than our chronological age because the stress of not having to do this alone is removed.

We have each other.

The thing I love about our Kabbalah community,

By the way,

Is no matter what problem you have,

No matter what you're going through,

There's someone who has been there,

Done that,

And can walk you,

Guide you through it.

Wow.

How healing is that?

How amazing is that?

I just think that's so incredible.

And yeah,

A person can by themselves go down the street,

Look at a sign,

Oh,

The billboard says whatever.

Oh,

That's a sign.

That's true.

That's good.

But for me,

I know that life is all about relationship.

It's really all about relationship to have a mentor.

That's exactly what we talked about last week,

That without the people around us,

We can't move forward.

Well,

We're meant to be together because each and every one of us,

I know we're all sitting in these little bodies and everybody looks different and we're all beating each other up around this world because we look different.

The irony is that we actually all are,

I'm going to throw a little bomb here,

I'm sorry,

Extraterrestrial in nature.

It's who we are.

We don't live on this planet.

We come in and we leave.

Everybody knows that's a fact.

And where does our spirit,

Our soul go?

It doesn't belong here.

And each and every one of us is a drop of light in an ocean of light.

So that's why we get lonely in these bodies.

That's why we want to be with other people because we're really meant to be one with all creation.

And so when we designate someone to be our channel or our guide or our mentor and where our heart is really coming from a pure place,

That's what makes life so much more rewarding and so gives us fulfillment because of that.

Yeah,

You can go through life alone.

I've seen people.

They don't trust anyone.

They don't.

They always think someone's got to.

.

.

I think you bring up one of those,

Another fundamental concept that we touch on here and there,

But never delve so deeply in it.

Maybe we need a series of shows on this as well.

The idea that when you ask the creator or your teacher or your spiritual community or we'll get to the metaphysical people,

Beings you can ask for help from too.

What are you really saying?

I can't do this alone.

I don't want to do it alone.

But you spoke in the beginning of the show about the personality of if I don't do it,

It's not going to get done.

Right.

Yes.

That's the painful way to go through life.

But this is the meeting of the concepts now.

The moment you ask for help,

The act of asking for help is an act of humility.

It's an act of I don't want to fill up the whole room.

I want the whole room full of light.

How much more support,

Guidance,

Direction,

Love can I bring into my process so that I don't have,

It's not me and my ego doing the work.

Right.

That'll never work anyway.

Right.

It's always going to come out painful if you try that.

So don't believe me,

You can try it for yourself.

Well,

The,

You know,

There is this saying that when the teacher is ready,

Sorry,

When the student is ready,

The teacher will appear.

So what does that mean?

That's not always,

That's a quote from the Zohar by the way.

Right.

It's a quote,

I think it's,

It's used in many different,

And Zorro,

Many different ways,

Zorro and Zohar.

Um,

That,

But what does that mean?

That means not that you have a to do list and once you've ticked the,

You know,

That number item off the to do list,

There,

There will be a knock on your door,

But rather when you're open,

When you've been cracked open enough,

You will be able to let that support and that guidance in.

And I can tell you,

Um,

So many,

There's so many examples,

Stories of people I can think of,

You know,

Batya happened to just walk across fifth avenue.

There are people I've heard stories who have tried to come to lectures and they get a flat tire or,

But I have to tell you what happened before then.

I told you before,

I used to be a member in the church,

In the church of money and I would worship money and I was in a sales position.

I was in sales in Manhattan,

Dog eat dog.

It doesn't get more aggressive than that.

Anyway,

Set myself a financial goal and I met that goal early in the year and you know what happened?

I went and I went to a depression.

I had no desire left.

I didn't,

I didn't even know what to do.

I mean,

My God of money,

It just like crumbled before my eyes.

I thought,

Wow,

If I went,

I'm here,

I'm not happy when I get over there,

Which is another illusion of this world.

When I get there,

Whatever there is,

Married,

Money,

Whatever,

Size two,

Whatever,

Whatever the thing is that you think is over there and you get over there,

Guess what happens over there becomes here and just as miserable.

And my bubble,

My illusion burst and I did not know where to go.

I felt crushed and it was only because I felt crushed.

It was only because of that bad,

You know,

Painful,

I won't say bad.

It was a painful experience that opened me up.

Now the student was ready,

You know,

The students are now the teacher appeared.

Now I happen,

I don't know,

Maybe that table was there every week for all I know.

I don't know.

Probably was.

Yeah,

Probably was,

But I wasn't ready for it because I wasn't open to it.

I was so filled with my ego.

So there is a blessing in our challenges and our pain and suffering.

I know it sounds a little,

Uh,

S and M,

But,

But the truth is if you ask yourself,

Why am I going through this painful experience,

This painful,

Whatever,

You can experience loss or whatever.

What is the universe?

What is God,

The light force?

What is my message here?

Because this universe runs on love.

It runs on love,

The energy of love.

And as you're talking about parenting,

Right?

Sometimes a parent has got to be tough and it hurts.

I can't tell you how many times my children,

If they were here right now,

They would have a word or two to say how angry they would be because we said no.

And then years later said,

Thank you so much.

That was the best thing that happened.

But in the moment they were angry.

They were upset,

You know?

Exactly.

And we're like that with the universe as well,

Because we're all here.

We're growing.

What is the purpose of being on this planet?

To evolve,

To grow.

Now we can grow by,

Like I said,

Being crushed time and time again,

Or we can also proactively grow by having a spirit guide,

A mentor.

Or that if we're lucky,

You know you have the right mentor if the person makes you feel slightly uncomfortable.

If you're completely comfortable,

Then they are your buddy.

They're not your mentor.

A mentor is there to help stretch your vessel for happiness.

Like I used to say to people all the time,

I call this Kabbalah Center a spiritual gym.

You go to the gym and let's say you hire a trainer.

Do you hire someone for $200 an hour to say,

Oh honey,

You look so great.

You don't need to do any sit ups.

You look beautiful just the way you are.

You didn't want to pay $200 for that?

No.

I want someone to kick my butt and tell me,

Two more.

Two more sit ups.

Two more push ups.

I hate your guts.

And then afterwards,

Oh my God,

Thank you so much.

I feel amazing.

Well that's,

I think that every meeting has to be like that.

You love the push.

You love,

Even in the moment.

And I,

A loving push.

We're never gonna,

I think it's actually,

I had a student once tell me,

I realize now that the hardest thing for you must have been watching me ignore what you were telling me all that time.

We're used to it.

Anyway,

Well we're getting a lot of questions about the metaphysical guidance and one of the things that we've talked about in Kabbalah,

We often talk about,

Is asking for help from sages,

Righteous souls who've completed their correction and can assist us in our own correction,

Whether that's their people we know.

Some of us are lucky enough to know people that we would consider righteous,

Sage,

Transformed beings.

There's also people that we know that did tremendous work in this world.

Biblical figures,

Saints,

You might call them,

Anyone who has elevated from the physical realm is basically there to support us.

I know that there's people that they call on the even ancestors of theirs.

But the idea is not that,

And this is I think where Kabbalah departs in its understanding and explanation of the value of having help from elevated souls.

It's not that they'll take care of it for us.

A lot of people will light a candle and say,

Dear so and so,

Make my ex leave me alone or take care of this health problem for me or help us get through them,

Pay the bills this month.

The purpose of asking for help from transformed souls is not so that we won't have to do our work.

It's so that our work will be blessed and guided and supported.

And that's a very different request than I can't deal with this anymore,

I'm throwing it to you.

There are a lot of people out there that say let go and let God.

We don't say let go and let God because God is the one who's actually saying this is the challenge that's going to bring you your soulmate.

The example David always uses,

This example I'll bring it,

Is that people say,

Oh,

I want my soulmate.

I want to find the love of my life.

I want to be with the,

You know,

Find the father of my children or the person who will complete my sentences,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah.

And then they go through some kind of ego crushing scenario or stressful situation and they say,

What?

First of all,

They don't draw the connection.

They don't see the connection between you made an ask,

Now you've got to do the legwork.

But also that they view the challenge as chaos rather than the keys to open the gate that they asked for.

Well,

That's one of the illusions of this world,

Right?

People think that the great life is a life without problems.

No,

The only life without problems is a dead one.

We must have challenges and problems.

That's how they grow.

It's not about the challenge.

It's how we frame the challenge that makes all the difference.

And sometimes we need help framing that challenge.

You know,

I've had people say to me,

I lost my job.

I said,

Wow,

Congratulations.

That's amazing.

What do you mean amazing?

I said,

Because you know that you hated that job and you even told me you hated that job.

And so here the universe is giving you a promotion.

Be grateful,

Be happy,

Ask,

Wow,

What's my next level?

I saw a beautiful quote just last night before I went to sleep somebody posted,

You know,

The door that you were trying to,

The door that just closed in front of you doesn't,

It opens inward or something like that.

Like that it's not meant to,

You're not meant to push the door out.

You're meant to receive it open inward.

So in other words,

The difficulty can elevate you if you allow it.

And that's the.

.

.

Yeah,

But that's the beauty of having,

Again,

Someone,

A mentor,

A guide,

A teacher to help you.

You don't have to go through that with pain and suffering.

You could if you want,

But you don't have to.

You could shorten the process.

That's our free will.

We have to go through a process,

But we could shorten the process.

And that really is the,

I think the benefit of the distinction.

Well,

We were sitting a couple of years ago with one of our teachers and one of our colleagues asked the question,

Why do we ask for help from elevated souls?

Why don't we only ask from God?

Why do we go to an agent rather than going directly to the big boss?

And the explanation we got was that having that support is like having a partner.

You're going to get more done.

You're going to get it done more quickly.

You're going to be more inspired,

More supported if you're asking for help from those partners.

And for me,

I know I want to speak for you,

But there are certain souls that I call on regularly because I feel connected to both their mission and their teachings.

You may have read,

I don't know,

Our listeners may have read books by different people and feel connected to their teachings and their wisdom and therefore ask for their support.

How you find those spirit guides,

We'll call them,

There isn't one way or another,

But the fact that they come,

Right.

I think that that's also something if you're listening and you hear the different teachings from different people,

There will be ones that resonate.

I know for me also,

I've gone to visit.

One of the things that we talk about in Kabbalah is the power of energy sites,

Right,

Locations,

Energy vortexes around the world.

And sometimes it happens to be at the gravesite or the resting place of a righteous person.

So being conscious and being mindful of where those opportunities are to connect,

One very powerful way is,

We talk about it sometimes in the show,

On the anniversary of anniversary.

The day of elevation.

Right,

The day on which that person's soul elevated.

Kabbalah teaches that all of the light that that person revealed in their lifetime is revealed on that day.

So whatever good,

Quote unquote,

They did while they were alive is accessible and is there to nourish us even more on the day of their elevation.

But even beyond that,

I think it was the Raufberg that said,

Those souls are basically waiting for us to ask for help.

They did their work so that they could help others.

And we just have to do the asking.

Well,

I think,

Again,

It goes back to relationship.

The image that comes to my mind is think of people who are in a dark hole.

And each of them are trying to claw their way out of the dark hole.

But they can't do it.

So they finally,

After all the effort they've spent and they're each trying to be busy by themselves surviving,

They say,

Hey,

How about we get together and we try to do this together?

So they go back to back,

They link arms,

And then with their legs,

They work their way up out of the hole.

The purposeful life is a life of sharing.

So when you're sharing as a mentor and as you're receiving as a mentee,

There's a circuitry of energy.

And as you see in this world,

The only energy that is life-giving is an energy that is flowing.

Water,

When it flows,

The faster it flows,

The more it flows over the rocks,

Et cetera,

Becomes more and more pure and healthy.

The water that's stagnant by itself,

There's no movement,

Actually the person gets sick from that.

It's the same thing with the energy of the circuitry of having a mentor in body,

Out of body,

Whatever it is,

And being,

You know,

There's a giving and a receiving.

And ideally,

When we realize that,

You know,

When we reach the point of sharing,

When we're sharing,

We're actually receiving.

And if we have the right mindset when we're receiving,

We're actually sharing.

So there is this beautiful flow,

This connected energy.

So let's say I go to my mentor and I ask,

You know,

For advice,

And my advice is not about me.

My advice is how,

So in order for me to be a better human being,

Now there's a circuitry of energy that I've just created with that designated channel,

That person designated,

Because everything comes from the light.

It just flows through these different channels.

And it flows according to our desire,

According to what really is our agenda.

My agenda is I just want to get rid of the process.

I just want to get rid of the fear.

I just want to have it now.

Well,

That's a cause and effect.

We know what happens,

I'm sure.

We've talked about that enough times.

We know what happens with that cause and effect.

Everything is about what's my agenda in having a guide.

What's my agenda in being a guide to other people,

Right?

If there's,

To the degree that there's the desire to see for the self alone,

There's a selfish agenda.

Unfortunately,

I know we didn't bring it up yet,

But people take advantage of other people who put them in positions of authority.

And for anybody who is listening,

Who is a therapist,

A counselor,

A healer,

Or a lawyer,

An accountant,

Or whatever,

There's all different ways in any sort of service position.

You always have to check within ourselves and say,

Where am I coming from?

Am I coming from because I want that commission or coming from that I really want to help that person?

We talked about that last week.

Yeah,

Well,

Let's talk about it again.

Apparently,

People need to hear this again.

I love that.

I love when that happens.

Yeah.

So what's my agenda in that?

What's my agenda in asking and what's my agenda in sharing?

So that's another piece of it.

So if we're fortunate enough to find people or anyone or someone who can actively remove their agenda and really be there for the other person.

And I know for me,

And I'm sure you do this too,

Before I meet with someone,

I always pray please let me be a channel.

Get my agenda out of this and please be there.

Let me be the purest channel I can be.

Let me be the purest channel I can be.

Absolutely.

We'll say that before the show starts also.

Always.

Let me be the purest channel.

That segues into,

We don't have as much time to dedicate to it,

But something that maybe we'll in the coming year we'll dedicate a whole episode to.

There is a lot of conversation,

I think not only in spirituality,

Also in religious circles around angels.

And people are always asking,

How do I find my guardian angel?

How do I talk to angels?

Well,

You know,

We have that service at the Kabbalah Center.

That's not what I,

Yes we do.

Oh,

Don't knock it.

I have to tell you,

Here's a confession just between me and you.

It wasn't really my thing,

The angels.

We have teachers who are,

It's their passion.

They study all the angels and they help you find your angel.

Anyway,

So one of the teachers is really very,

Very enthusiastic and she insisted on doing angel reading with me.

And I didn't want to say no.

Here's an example,

I'm just throwing myself under the bus here to show you what it looks like.

Every episode at Abat Yezhan she throws herself under the bus at some point.

I love being under the bus,

It's great for my ego.

I crush it and then something amazing happens in my life,

So it's okay.

Anyway,

So I'm demonstrating that for you right now.

Anyway,

So we do the reading and she has me do this meditation of asking for the name of my angel.

Right?

And I'm so not into this right now and I feel to me like I'm doing her a favor because she's so important to her and she really wants me to have this experience and I'm really not into it,

But I went along with it just to make her happy really.

Don't try that at home by the way.

So I close my eyes and I make a joke to myself.

I have a very dry sense of humor as you might have noticed by now.

So I'm closing my eyes and saying,

Oh it's my angel,

His name is Fred,

You know,

Something like that.

But then when I let that go,

I actually heard the name.

It's a name I never heard before and I got to tell you,

It blew me away.

Blew me away.

And then I got,

You know,

There's a whole system here.

It's really,

We live in a precise system.

Life is a precise structure.

I know when you listen to the media or whatever and we're inundated with what's going on in this world and life seems like it's a total chaos,

But it's not.

It's unbelievable.

It looks like that.

That's part of the game.

But it is actually so precise.

The moment I was born,

The day I was born,

The angels that were there,

My guardian angel,

My angel of my birthday,

The angel,

Oh my God,

I've got a whole team.

Every single person,

Every single person who has been born has an angel group.

Yes.

And a guardian angel.

Yes.

And it is one of the,

I think that one of the misconceptions around the angelic realm is that they're busy doing God's bidding.

And the wisdom of Kabbalah teaches that they are another level of support system.

Exactly.

And that's the level of cushioning between us and the challenges we need to face.

We need to go through them anyway.

You might as well go through them with support and inspiration and guidance and protection.

But there's that little voice,

You know that voice like,

You know,

Don't go out drinking tonight voice.

No,

I've never heard that voice before.

Yeah,

Exactly.

A lot of people.

My angels always want me to go out and drink tonight.

Right,

Exactly.

So,

You know,

I've heard that voice.

I'm just saying when they've done that.

But then there's that I've heard it and then I haven't heard it,

You know what I mean?

But you could actually develop that.

Right.

You can really develop,

Turn up the volume of that voice.

Usually the other voice is like,

Yeah,

Let's go out drinking.

Oh,

You had a rough week.

You deserve to kick back and have a few.

Never mind tomorrow when,

You know,

The hangover and feeling like crap and then the whole day is shot.

You can,

You know,

Waste it that day.

No.

And that that voice,

Where's that voice coming from?

You know,

And that's the voice,

By the way,

That might say,

Hey,

That person called that person asked that person for advice or,

You know,

Read that book or the book falls out in front of you.

You know,

Those those signs and those messages that also works.

Not as but if you want something like a steady channel,

You know,

That you again,

I personally feel that it is so healing to have someone who's not part of your personal world,

Who's like,

As you said,

Objective that can help reflect back to you what your true soul's desire is.

And I think that's one of the basic most important aspects of valuable asset of having a mentor guide,

Because everyone there's no canned program.

Everybody goes according to their unique job to do in this world and you by having somebody who can guide you according to your unique job,

Not their canned program.

That is invaluable.

That's priceless.

You have to really have a merit to to earn that.

I think.

And I had a similar experience with the angel meditations.

It was very difficult for me to embrace for whatever reason.

But I had a very similar situation,

Experience that you did and then what it led me on the journey to learn more and to be more not only open,

But active in the use of that network,

Because it really is like a network.

You know,

You want to call favors and you need a little support in this.

And what's amazing about it is that the different angels have different strengths and different gifts.

And by using which angels you have in your corner,

You learn about your own gifts and your own talents,

Which is really powerful.

I think you should dedicate a podcast.

We will do an episode.

I think it's later in the spring where we talk more.

We have we're dedicating a month to talking about different tools.

And that's one of them being able to use the angel group and that whole system of spirits.

There's actually a really great question.

I'm going to answer it really quickly and then we will say goodbye.

How does a past spirit help you if it's already moved on to another physical body or experience?

I mean,

You want to answer it?

So we're talking I mentioned before that,

You know,

I know people that call upon their parents who have passed or grandparents or someone dear to them in their ancestry.

The tradition is not the right way.

The typical or the best practice in using that support is what we call righteous souls or some people call them saints,

People who have completed their process,

Which usually means not always they can still come to the physical reality,

But it usually means that they're not back in body.

They've completed their work and they're waiting to assist us.

But regardless of the situation,

According to the laws of reincarnation that Kabbalah ascribes,

The part of the soul that was perfected or corrected doesn't come back.

It's really the aspects of the self that are not yet perfected.

So there have been sages who have reincarnated,

Bringing back just the slightest bit.

All they came to fix was the attribute of anger,

Everything else they'd perfected.

So it is possible,

Both scenarios,

It's possible that they move on,

But the part that you're communicating with and asking for support from isn't moved on,

Is perfected and remains perfected and is there for assistance.

And it's also possible that they did not move on.

They are staying and waiting and doing their work from above,

Supporting and moving things along until the rest of us get with it.
