Good morning with two of my favorite people,
Or at least one of my favorite people.
We're here this morning with David and our all time most fun.
Let you guys try and figure out throughout the show who's who.
Batia Solomon is joining us this morning and the reason for that is because today's topic is a bit of a wild card.
It's out of the theme of the month,
But really out of popular,
As a result of popular demand.
We have been getting a lot of questions about this particular period that we're entering and how to best navigate it.
The truth is,
I think that what we're going to talk about today is something timeless,
Really.
There isn't a single one of us that is immune from going through challenges and being able to navigate difficult times from the serious difficult times that many of us have faced in the last couple of years to the more situational.
Maybe something happens that we are disappointed with,
Things don't go according to our plan,
We work towards something that dissolves,
A relationship ends,
One door closes and we can't find the other door that's opening.
So today we're really dedicating to talking about how to find the light in the darkness or how to be the light in the darkness,
Which is essentially what Kabbalah teaches is one of the secrets to shifting.
And to me,
A lot of you who have been listening know that the weekly energy boost is essentially your seven day spiritual weather forecast.
We've been focusing this last year basically on a monthly energy forecast and always,
No matter what we're talking about,
People say,
Oh my goodness,
This is exactly what I needed to hear or wow,
I've been going through something so similar.
I felt like you were talking to me.
The truth is that that's really how the wisdom of Kabbalah makes such an indelible impact on those who study it is that it is so precise.
We're not predicting,
We're not looking in a crystal ball and saying,
My guides tell me this.
This is thousands of years old precision that we base these,
The themes on,
The episodes on,
And that's actually,
Even though we've been talking about love these last few weeks,
Because right now we're in the month of cancer and the month of cancer,
Cancer,
Ariens tend to be the nurturers,
The maternal figures,
Regardless of who they are and what they do.
They have this nurturing and loving ability.
We wanted to tap into that for,
Especially those of us who are not cancer Ariens and at the same time,
One of the things that is very typical,
I mean,
I have a daughter who I know is not listening,
But is a cancer and she's super cancer Arien and I myself have a lot of cancer,
My brother's cancer and I have swimming in this fish bowl with lots of crustaceans.
I can tell you that one of the things that's very difficult for them is to see the light in the darkness,
Is to when something is challenging,
It tends to be doomsday for them and they do hole up and abandon ship or throw their hands in the air and say,
I can't do anything about it or I have constant conversations.
It really is like the tides,
When there's no water,
Oh my God,
Where's the water?
Oh,
Then here comes the water again.
It's this constant end of the world attitude that we want to fine tune because in Kabbalistic terms is this period that we just entered yesterday,
Which is Sunday,
Is definitely one of the more seemingly dark times of the year.
We feel that it is,
Even though the Kabbalists explain it's actually quite the opposite,
That there is such an inundation of spiritual light in this period that if we don't have the spiritual sunscreen,
If we don't have the umbrella or the rash guard or the shade to sit into,
If we don't create that protection,
We will feel burned by it.
That's one of the reasons that in this time you'll notice that it's like everybody is on their worst behavior.
Everybody is super reactive,
Super aggressive,
Super defensive.
The people that you know,
You almost have the sense that you need to walk on eggshells because you don't know who's going to explode or if you're going to say the wrong thing,
Even though you said the same thing two weeks ago and nobody abated an eyelash.
We really want to bring to everybody's awareness today what's going on and how to best navigate it so that it doesn't end up being catastrophic the way we can tend to see things.
Just to be clear for everybody,
The timeframe that Alicia was talking about began.
.
.
Saturday night.
Saturday night,
The 17th of cancer,
And it extends into the 9th of Leo for three weeks.
Just for people who want to mark your calendar there.
I think the day it ends is July 18th,
If I'm not mistaken.
Yes.
It's the morning of the 10th,
Actually.
And put more of a capitalistic spin on what Alicia shared,
The idea is the premise of these three weeks being a challenging time is based on this notion that we think a difficult time means when the thing that I want is not available to me.
That's how we all define difficulty and pain and challenges.
I'm uncomfortable because that which I want is not available to me.
The Kabbalists actually say that all pain stems from that which you want is abundantly available but I don't have the capacity to receive it.
So during these three weeks it says that the light of the Creator is revealed in its fullest intensity and the reason why it feels stressful for us or we feel more of our negativity coming up or we feel that people are more on edge is because there's so much energy available,
It's almost frantic.
And if I don't know how to prepare myself to receive intense energy then I will feel darkness.
That's the paradox.
That darkness is actually too much light.
It's not enough light and energy.
And one practical tool,
Whenever you're around,
For example,
An intense person or whenever you're around an intense situation where everything is going crazy,
The way you should know that it just means there's a lot of energy,
In order to manifest and harness that energy you have to be the opposite.
So you actually have to pause and you have to be calm.
And when everybody is calm and everything is slow,
The spiritual thing to do at that moment is actually to dial up your intensity in manifesting or sharing or whatever it is.
So it's always to be the opposite of what the environment is,
Is how to harness the energy.
And by the way,
We're all wearing blue and it looks slightly ridiculous.
Blue man group.
We're the Kabbalistic blue man group.
The background is blue.
We all are wearing blue.
For those of you who are listening to the podcast,
You're not missing anything,
But it is kind of funny to see.
To see all three of our screens up like that looks pretty ridiculous.
Batya,
What do you got to say about that?
Good morning,
Everybody.
Thanks for having me on the show.
Great to see you all.
So what do I have to say?
What's a challenge?
Right now we're all being challenged so much in this day and age.
You know,
As it's been pointed out to us,
Our teacher Ralph Berg had mentioned that this day would come.
We're in the days where some people call it the days of the Messiah,
The days,
The final days,
It's the day of the what we call the final war,
The war of Gog and Magog,
Which is not a war that's fought with weapons,
But a war that's fought with consciousness.
And if you're not living under a rock,
You would notice that wherever you're going through,
Wherever you are,
Whatever you're doing,
Life seems to be getting more and more intense.
The challenges actually are increasing.
Yes,
We have this three week window where it's even more intense.
Time is speeding up.
There's less space between cause and effect.
You say one thing to someone and immediately you may feel that,
Wow,
That thing you said,
You just got slapped in the face with that same thing you just said to someone else.
So it's a very,
Very intense time.
And what can I say?
Here's some tools,
Something I'd like to offer in a very practical way.
When,
You know,
As I'm sure we talked about on the show,
I know when I was here and I'm sure in other times as well,
And the times when I was listening to your podcast and the other occasions,
You know,
You talk about the opponent force and the opponent force is so insidious.
It's so tricky.
It always,
It's very,
Very difficult to nail it in many ways.
One of the most insidious ways and nefarious ways the opponent force works is it convinces us that the other person,
Someone else,
The economy,
The other political party,
Whatever,
Is responsible for my demise.
And it's never another human being.
And so this time,
These three weeks,
Be on guard.
You may be jumping to judging people more intensely than usual.
It may seem obvious,
It looks like them,
It sounds like them,
It smells like them.
It's definitely them.
No,
It's not.
It's your opponent.
If you can keep that in mind,
It's not them.
It's my opponent.
It's not even me.
It's my opponent.
My opponent is playing with my head.
The opponent is playing with our heads 99,
If not 100% of the time.
How much of the time can we,
How much of our precious mental energy are you willing to remove from the usual distractions and bring it into a time,
This time you can use for self-reflection,
For asking,
Who said that?
Where's that attitude coming from?
Where is that assumption coming from?
And why is it triggering me?
Now we have two ways to go with that.
It's triggering me because that person is annoying me.
Let me get rid of that person or that situation so I can go back to sleep.
Or what's in it for me?
How can I grow?
What is that person reflecting back to me about me that I'm not spiritually working on myself?
I find them annoying because they speak up.
Well maybe deep down inside I want to speak up,
But I'm embarrassed to speak up.
So that person's annoying me because they're showing me what I'm not doing for myself.
Not a time,
By the way,
Be very,
Very careful.
This is not a time to beat yourself up.
Well it's never a time to beat yourself up.
But you may be more inclined to beat yourself up in this time because the energy is so intense.
It's like the light is so bright on what's not working that it's hard to focus on what is working.
Almost like when you turn on the flashlight because you're trying to find something stuck in the crack between the seats.
So then you see,
Oh there's a wrapper there and there's a this there.
But don't forget,
You're looking for your keys.
Don't get distracted by the schmutz.
It's a good opportunity to clean up the schmutz,
By the way,
While you're looking for your keys.
That's going to,
You know,
Someone told me something yesterday about Steph Curry,
That you know,
Not being in the championship,
The NBA playoffs this year.
And I'm by no means a basketball or sports fan,
So don't get too impressed by this.
But it's more,
I'm impressed by him more than anything.
And someone was telling me that,
You know,
When he lost the championship last time,
That he made sure that when he,
Before he left the court,
He turned around and someone asked him,
Why did you look back at the court when you walked off?
He goes,
I want to remember this pain.
I want to be present to this pain so intensely so I never will experience it again.
He,
Instead of beating himself up,
What did I do wrong?
How many of us do that?
You know,
Something happens in our lives and we say,
Oh,
What did I do wrong?
I don't deserve anything better.
I'm bad.
I'm this or that.
No.
What can I do to learn from this?
What can I do to take this intense situation and draw strength from it?
So these three weeks,
As our teacher,
Rob Berg,
Would say,
These three weeks are actually could be the most,
The most enlightening time for us.
The difference is,
Am I going to blame and judge or am I going to grab that opportunity to love myself more and grow and have a greater desire to be a better human being,
To choose love over fear?
That is the key.
If you want to simplify it in any given moment,
Am I in a state of love or am I in a state of fear?
If you can catch yourself when you're in those states of fear and shift it to letting go,
Just let go,
Let the creative force within you be awakened and choose to see the good in the situation,
Choose to ask yourself,
How can this benefit myself?
How can it benefit everyone around me?
Because the one thing the opponent force doesn't want us to have is unity.
And that's the one thing we must all make a commitment for,
To be in unity.
We had an in-person event yesterday,
First time in a long time,
And about 25 people or so got together and I would say by 90,
We asked,
We did a hand raise,
How many of you were single versus in a relationship and we said,
Well,
We'll talk about a theme about being single and how do you attract the right person into your life.
So one of the common themes that came up,
And this was triggered in my mind after Batya spoke,
Is that especially when you're on a spiritual path,
You tend to start to beat yourself up and you tend to start to feel bad about certain things.
So you try to be spiritual and many of us think by trying to be spiritual means looking within which it does and finding the garbage which it does.
But the moment we do that,
We start to feel bad about ourselves.
And then it goes to another level which is if I do transform,
Great.
And if I don't transform,
Then I feel even worse about myself.
So there's this perpetual self-judgment that we always have as we are constantly auditing ourselves.
Now what happens?
When we beat ourselves up,
We're connected to a state of lack and when a person is connected to lack,
They are not connected to the light of the Creator and all the negative forces in the world start to be attracted to that person.
So we're kind of in a paradox here.
How do we work on ourselves without feeling that there's anything wrong with us?
So we're asking people to look inside to see what's wrong but also believe that there's nothing wrong.
And the Kabbalists were very,
Very cautious about this because the moment you start to look within,
You're dealing with radioactive material.
So you have to be extremely careful.
You can't be exposed to it for too long.
So the Kabbalists would literally say that maybe only 30 minutes a day should you be exposed to this radioactive garbage.
Because what a lot of people do is they're spiritual quote unquote all day.
So all day long they're analyzing themselves and all day long they're quote beating themselves up and all day long they're feeling bad about something.
And those people can never move forward.
The light has no affinity with that energy.
So that's one topic I wanted to address on the heels of what Batiya said is that when you feel bad about yourself,
You can't attract miracles.
On the other hand,
You need to work on yourself.
So how do you do that?
We talked about how,
But I want to throw that question out here for you guys to answer from your perspective.
I want to respond to that.
Yeah.
So you know the difference between,
Of course I'm going to respond.
Of course.
Of course I am.
I'm just the sports commentator here watching them lob the ball back and forth.
But seriously,
Religious thinking,
And we have to be very careful about it because you don't have to be as part of any organized religion to have religious thinking.
And religious thinking,
Which is part of most religious doctrine,
Is this misunderstanding that something happened,
Somebody committed a sin,
Somebody even died for me.
I don't even know,
I didn't even meet that person,
But they died for me.
So I'm already starting life behind the eight ball.
Something's wrong with me.
And if I do all the right things,
Then I'll be redeemed.
And that sets a person up for tremendous self-destruction right there.
And to be controlled by outer forces.
Can you say that again and even give examples for that?
Because I think people found that to be powerful,
But for them to really register it,
Say it one more time.
Yes.
There's a narrative.
Yeah.
You know,
Life is a narrative.
And the question is,
Which narrative do you want to live your life by?
Because you,
That you are in control.
According to Kabbalah.
Now,
According to religion,
And Kabbalah is not a religion,
Although some people get confused by that.
It's not a religion.
In every,
Pretty much most religions or religious thinking,
Something happened.
My parents got divorced.
Something happened.
Some event happened.
Somehow something happened in prehistory where two people committed some sort of sin,
Quote,
Unquote,
Or some righteous person walked on water and died for me and my negativity before I was even born.
And so now I'm here and I'm not okay.
This is very powerful.
Because something happened in the past,
Today I'm not okay.
I'm not okay.
And it's interesting because in the political world,
We're not going to get into this,
This is the conflicting opinion.
Something happened in the past,
Therefore today I'm not okay.
And then there's another thought,
A class of people that say,
Something happened in the past,
That has nothing to do with who I am today.
Well,
Then we talk about Kabbalistic.
We'll talk about the Kabbalistic paradigm.
In the Kabbalistic paradigm,
I'm a diamond.
I'm already okay.
I am more than okay.
I'm more than okay.
Not only am I a diamond,
But I'm a diamond living in a world in a garbage can.
I am not the garbage can and I am not the garbage.
My job in this world is to remove the layers of garbage so I could reveal the diamond I already am.
We teach people to wake up and remember who they already are,
Not to self-help,
To improve,
To become someone else in the future.
No,
You are okay right now.
Wherever you are and whatever you're struggling with,
You are okay.
You're a diamond right now.
And I encourage you right now as you're listening to this to repeat to yourself,
I am a diamond.
I am a diamond.
This thing happened in the past.
This thing happened yesterday.
This thing might happen to me tomorrow.
It doesn't matter.
I'm still a diamond.
My job is to identify what is not the diamond and remove it from my life.
And this time,
If you can maintain that consciousness during this time especially where the power has been emphasized,
Heightened,
Increased,
Then you can use that power even more to speed up the process of removing,
Disidentifying with things that you are not.
Anything that is not of a diamond,
That's not you.
You may be going through stuff.
Maybe you have an addiction.
Maybe you have a going through some sort of painful financial situation,
Health challenge,
Whatever it is,
You are still a diamond.
If you can hold on to that,
Then you can grab those opportunities because those opportunities of pressure or seeming,
Most of life by the way is smoke and mirrors.
It's a challenge by the opponent force to challenge whose narrative is going to be stronger,
The narrative that I'm a diamond or the narrative that something's wrong with me.
But if I do what you tell me to do,
If I become who you say I should become,
If I become addicted to approval to other people,
Then maybe someday in the future,
I'll be okay.
The choice is yours.
Choose love over fear.
This is so powerful because this idea that we all have problems and we all have stuff we need to deal with.
I mean,
There's so many and we need those challenges because we're not going to be able to remove what we call the bread of shame,
That internal feeling of shame that the soul has that it wants to be with the creator.
So we need to have challenges.
One second.
I just want to point,
You made a very important point and I want to be very clear about this.
Why do we have shame?
Why is every human being walking the planet have shame?
Because we forgot the creator.
That's it.
We forgot we're diamonds.
That's the shame.
But if you can remember that we're a diamond,
You're a diamond,
I'm a diamond,
Ellie Shev is a diamond.
Everybody here is a diamond.
The engineer here in the studio,
He's a diamond.
You're a diamond,
By the way.
By the way.
By the way,
Yes.
Then that's the process of releasing the shame is to remember who we are.
Go ahead.
That is the starting point because a lot of times people try to dive into these problems and challenges,
Which we're meant to do.
We're meant to go into work.
We're going to go home and there's going to be challenges at home.
Probably have challenges with your kids.
Probably have challenges in your relationship.
Probably have challenges constantly running through your mind.
But what we're saying is before you go and approach those challenges,
Remember that you're perfect,
That you are,
As we're saying now,
That diamond.
That's essentially Kabbalah 1,
Class 1.
It always goes back to that,
That when we say pause and we're saying to enjoy this experience and to acknowledge this experience is perfect,
We're not just saying pause,
Thank you,
What a pleasure this is,
And then go put your head in the sand.
We're saying accept that this is perfect,
That you're perfect.
Now go and deal with whatever you've got to deal with.
All the meetings you have today that are on your calendar,
All the conversations that you need to have,
Whatever difficult thing you need to do,
Phone calls you need to make,
Projects that you need to work on,
Make sure you enter those situations,
Even though you're doing it to receive a paycheck or receive something.
Know that you don't actually need to receive anything because you're perfect.
Somebody texted me yesterday and said,
I got this big investor pitch that I got to do today.
Can you give me any helpful advice?
And I didn't know really what to say,
But then I thought about it and what came to my mind is just make sure you're going there to share.
Because a lot of times when we go in to pitch something,
Our mentality is I need something from you that I'm pitching.
And therefore it means that something's wrong with me because I need something from you to fix it.
But if you go in there as a sharing person,
It means you have nothing wrong with you and you want to share your beneficence because you're perfect.
And that's what diamonds do,
They shine.
So everywhere you go,
You shine.
We need those challenges though.
We need that challenge to the narrative,
The narrative I want to,
The narrative,
The better narrative that I'm a diamond,
I'm going to get challenged.
So the greater the challenge,
The greater I'm able to shine my diamond.
I can't shine my diamond if I don't have a contrasting situation to shine it.
But we can truly benefit from this intensity,
Not only these three weeks,
But time.
These days are becoming more and more intense.
On the world scene,
Everything is becoming more and more intense.
Everything's coming into question.
I don't want to go again into the politics or whatever,
But it doesn't really matter.
Caballistically,
We know that something that's happening in one place is happening every place.
It's happening within,
It's happening in a microcosmic level,
It's happening in the macrocosmic level.
Don't get caught up in the commentary.
Don't get caught up or distracted by this person said this,
That person did that.
No.
Where's my opponent and which narrative do I choose to live with internally?
Because my internal narrative determines my external experience.
Ellie Shevlin,
Do you like to say something about that?
I'm just,
I'm so thoroughly enjoying what you're saying.
It's so exactly what I need to hear.
I went through my own minor kerfuffles.
Kerfuffles.
I love your vocabulary.
Minor kerfuffles in the last few days.
So delightful.
Well,
No.
Often we talk about the idea that the purpose,
The process is the purpose,
Right?
That we think,
Okay,
When's it going to- The process is the purpose.
Sometimes you guys say these powerful things and I think people,
I don't want it to get lost.
The process is the purpose.
Well,
That's how I translate what Bob just said.
We need to pause right there and just let that sink.
All right,
Keep going.
Let's take pause.
What a pleasure.
Yeah,
Pause with a pleasure.
The process is the purpose.
It's so true.
The process is the purpose and our tendency,
Especially in the midst of a struggle is,
Can't wait till this is over or I wish they would just leave me alone.
I personally,
I have a few students that are in the middle of legal struggles,
Which I think is one of the places when it comes to the law,
And it's a funny thing,
But it's like when people are going to court or need,
They're both navigating difficult divorces.
It's really hard to detach from the illusion for whatever reason,
The finality of things and the binding of law and lawyers and courts.
Or the illusion of it anyway.
Well,
I'm saying it's very hard to resist that illusion.
And what I see for them,
And which is really amazing,
And it speaks volumes to the power of the wisdom and the practice of Kabbalah,
Is that once they're able to switch the train tracks,
I literally visualize sometimes like they feel like they're going,
Or I could say it about myself,
Sometimes I feel like I'm going down this track and there's a click.
You realize,
Wait a second,
This is not real.
Nobody is in control of my life,
My tikkun,
Even though there's threats and there's pending doom.
Who said,
By the way,
There's pending doom?
The illusion of the circumstance creates the smoke and mirrors of this is going to be taken away from me.
I'm going to be disempowered.
I won't have enough money.
All these fears,
And sometimes they're rooted in reality.
The ex did this once.
What if he does it again?
Like that kind of- And even if he did do it,
What meaning do you choose to ascribe about it?
That's the difference between living a mediocre life or sad life and an excellent life.
It's the meaning we ascribe to these events.
And that goes right back to,
I'm a diamond,
You're a diamond.
And the other diamonds,
By the way,
Can you see the diamond in the other person?
That's really growing spiritually to be able to discern the ex was also a diamond.
Right now,
I don't see the shine of my ex,
Let's say,
For those people who have gone through,
Let's say,
An acrimonious divorce.
It's going to be a little harder to see the diamond,
But that's really the spiritual work.
It's not,
How much money am I going to make this year?
Although that's what people are busy with.
Am I going to have a job?
Am I going to get a raise?
Am I going to accumulate a house and a car and a this and a spouse?
Like the accumulation game,
I think even that's starting to play itself out.
People realize,
Wow,
That doesn't make you happy accumulating things.
It really is the process,
Like you said.
I'm witnessing their processes and the moment they're able to shift tracks to wait a second,
This is for me.
The creator has set this whole challenge up so that I can get to my next level of recognizing my diamond,
Having certainty in the light force,
In the perfection of the system so that I can grow in my compassion.
For me,
When I watch these processes take place,
I really see how it's just for the main actor or actress in the scene to recognize their power.
The moment they recognize their power,
Which is again,
The process is to get them to recognize their power.
The outcome,
The settlement,
The custody,
All that stuff is not even secondary.
It's like,
I don't know what the 10th level is.
It's the effect.
It's completely the effect.
I had a conversation with both of them this week and both of them shared how it's like in an instant,
Totally different movie.
What was the groundbreaking moment was when they realized it's for me and if I can shift my consciousness,
I can change the movie.
The movie is predicated on my reality.
I often think of the soul as the projector in the theater.
I have a great story.
I have to tell you this one.
Tell us the story.
There's a student in one of the centers.
Anyway,
He had two business partners and one of them was a crook and extorted all the money out of the company.
He thought he was a multimillionaire.
One day,
The next day they come to his house and they take everything and they throw them in.
Like in the movies and the TV shows.
Yeah,
And the German jail,
Actually all the money he thought he had is not there.
Now he's going to court,
Him and his two partners.
He goes,
What does he do?
It's the first thing someone in trouble does.
They call their Kabbalah teacher right away.
That's what we do.
There's no atheist in a foxhole.
It's like their attorney,
Spiritual attorney.
Spiritual attorney,
Exactly.
So his teacher advised him,
How am I going to change the paradigm?
He goes,
Well you have to shift from being reactive taker to being the cause,
Be the giver.
So the man took whatever was last sent and he gave a donation to the Kabbalah center.
It's a true story.
I know you probably think he's crazy here and this is not a pitch for charity.
This is just how the system works.
So there he goes.
He gave his last penny.
So every day he goes to court.
He's reading Zohar.
He did a study with his teacher.
Teacher's giving him the consciousness.
He's keeping his consciousness at a very high level.
Doesn't even have money to pay his attorney,
By the way.
The other two guys,
One of them,
Long story short,
So the jury came time for them to come up with a verdict.
So every day they're in court.
This guy is spending the entire day in prayer and meditation and reading Zohar.
One of the other guys is spending the whole day on painkillers.
He's completely drugged out because he can't handle the situation.
And the third guy kept firing his lawyers because he saw that he was losing the case.
So he kept changing lawyers until he could find the way.
So when they came for him for the jury,
The two other men were guilty.
He was proven innocent.
He walked out a free man because he was facing,
By the way,
25 years of prison,
Just saying.
Now that's the stakes are high.
That illusion,
That's a strong illusion.
Stakes are high,
25 years in prison,
Doesn't have a penny to his name anymore,
Lost everything he thought he had because it's all an illusion anyway.
All of his attachments gone and all he's got now,
He's got the Zohar,
He's got his consciousness,
He's become a cause,
He did his act of sharing.
Finally he's let go free and his lawyer was so enthralled with how is this man keeping his cool,
How is he so calm,
How is he managing to go through this incredible trial of reality,
Let's say,
Quote unquote,
While the other two people are completely fallen apart and completely reactive to the situation,
His lawyer didn't charge him for his fees.
Wow,
That's awesome.
Isn't that incredible?
I love that story.
Yeah,
He was able to put his life back together.
This is exactly what you're talking about.
We get tested and this man obviously was extremely powerful,
A powerful soul,
He was ready for a powerful test.
Each of us are tested each in our own way according to what's our next level of certainty,
What's our next level of I'm claiming my narrative.
If there's one thing,
You feel helpless in this world,
Especially what you see going on around you,
Whether personally,
Globally,
Politically,
Financially,
Economic,
Whatever it is,
Just remember there's a war going on and it's a war between your narrative of how I'm the diamond and I want to stay in this space called love and see the good in others and no matter what,
Be in unity with others.
I don't have to agree with them,
By the way,
But I don't have to hate them either as opposed to whatever we're being attacked by.
That's really what's going on here.
If you can hold on to that,
You're winning the game of life.
I want to just,
I like to sometimes throw in very practical non-spiritual advice because it's going to help somebody out there.
There's so many horror stories around hiring,
Around going into business or doing an investment with someone and then all of a sudden this,
That and the other thing happens and I don't think a lot of people realize,
But you can and you should for any high level relationship that you're going to go into,
Do a background check.
There are different levels of background checks and I know this is like a spiritual podcast,
But I'm telling you when it comes to hiring certain types of people,
Especially going into business,
You better believe some simple,
Sometimes people Google search,
Forget the Google search for a moment.
That's a very cursory look into a person's life,
But it's insane how much information you can learn about somebody in order to be able to,
And you're probably thinking why in the world is David talking about this?
I'm sure that there is a listener out there from the thousands who need to hear this.
One guy,
One guy who was about to hire wrong and is going to be saved by David's advice.
I'm going to spend a couple hundred bucks,
I'm going to do a full background check and at least you can address,
Oh wait,
I see you have a lawsuit here,
Oh I see you filed for bankruptcy there,
Oh I see,
At least to allow that person to explain themselves before you go into business with them or before you hire them actually even brings you closer to them.
So once in a while I just like to throw some practical advice out there for people.
Yes,
We can read the Zohar and try to make sure that the creator weeds out these people,
But at the same time sometimes what the light is telling you is to do a background check.
The guy didn't go into court to represent himself.
He did have a lawyer.
It is an important distinction to make because we're not saying,
We're saying that yes you are a diamond,
But you're in the garbage can for a reason and you can't pretend you're not in the garbage can.
That's essentially what David is saying.
There is a lot of garbage out there.
But to get back to what we're really,
The emphasis this week and in these three weeks is really to be connected to that diamond and I think that the best,
There's a couple metaphors that the Kabbalists give that I always go back to to ground me and one is that actually it's the same metaphor but two different angles of it.
The founder of the Kabbalah Center,
Rav Aslaki,
Says that if you can imagine a boulder that's taken from a mountain,
Meaning it's part of the mountain and then you remove it,
That's the relationship between us and the creator.
We are made of the same gravel,
Sand,
Dirt,
Trees,
Minerals in the mountain.
We're just a smaller and separate piece.
And because the essence of the mountain is peace and tranquility,
When we are tranquil,
When we are at peace,
That's when we are in greatest affinity with our root,
With our source.
And I think that that's important to remember in this time because in those conversations that I'm having with those people one-on-one that are in justifiably worrisome scenarios like needing to go to court and whatnot,
The key,
What really helps a person,
And I imagine that Batya's student was in the same place,
That inner peace comes from my ability to decide what I'm going to give energy to.
And I'm going to say that again because I've been given questions like,
What should I do,
This or that?
Where is the restriction for me?
Where is the growth for me?
And many times that question is external,
Right?
What should I do?
Meaning it's outside of my body.
Do I do this or do I do this?
Do I take this action?
Do I take that action?
Inside,
The real choice is what do I give energy to?
And we're getting lots of questions from our live listeners.
What should I do about this?
Is this why that is happening?
Instead,
For a moment,
Focus on the projector,
Right?
The projector,
That's what we've given too many metaphors.
That's the diamond.
That's the projector.
That's the root.
That's the boulder inside me that is a part of the light force of the creator.
Think about the projector physically,
Right?
All it is is a machine that's shining light.
Think about that for a second.
The film reel is what changes.
The movie itself,
What's happening,
The scenery,
The actors,
The plot,
That changes,
But the projector doesn't change.
And when we're going through that difficult situation where we need to make a choice or we're being tested,
Do I give energy to the illusion over here or do I give energy to the source,
The diamond?
Do I recognize how I can grow,
How I can elevate,
How I can heal?
Because the situation is coming to help me heal something that happened to me,
Something that I go through,
Some pattern,
Negative pattern that I allow myself to revert to when I'm in a state of fear,
When I'm in a state of panic or worry.
That inner peace,
That rock inside me,
And I guess it does work with it.
Imagine being hewn from a big diamond,
Right?
That small diamond within me,
If I can be peaceful inside,
I will shift every single detail on the outside.
It's when I allow those external scenarios to affect my mood,
My attitude,
My energy.
You know,
Again,
Going back to the two people that I know that are going through divorces,
It's a choice.
Do I let it shake my world?
Do I let it ruin my mood with my kids?
Do I let it shut me down and stop socializing with my friends?
Granted,
It's okay to take time out and take care of yourself.
We've had many episodes about that.
But am I allowing it to rattle me so that I am not myself,
So that I am not love,
So that I am not the diamond?
That's really the work of this time is to make sure that I am staying true to my essence,
Which is that diamond.
One of the biggest lies is that I need to not be myself or to be inauthentic in order to achieve something or to get something done or to get ahead.
It's very hard to accept the truth that if I am at peace with myself,
If I feel whole,
If I am always reminding myself as we are saying now that I am a diamond,
That I have the light inside of me,
It's very hard to accept that if I just did that,
The whole world would rotate around me and all the right things would come to me and all the wrong things would leave me.
We are free to accept that.
So we kind of step outside of our energy.
We start putting on a show.
We act like a clown sometimes in order to achieve or try to take or manipulate the scenario.
The sage just said,
You know,
We are working way too hard.
We are expending way too much energy and effort and achieving minimal results by doing so.
If I can always remember I don't need to panic,
I don't need to try to fix everything,
I don't need to try to fix everyone,
I don't even need to try to fix myself.
I need to just connect to the fact that I am perfect and while everything is so intense around me,
This is why people have anxiety and panic attacks.
We all fall into it.
It's when we start thinking we got to keep up with that intensity.
I got to keep up with all the things that are changing and all the things that are happening and all the movement and I got to protect myself and I got to get defensive.
Oh my God,
I got to buy a gun.
Oh my God,
I got to do this.
Oh my God,
I got to buy that.
Just relax for a moment and realize that the whole world will do whatever is going on inside of you.
That you don't have to change for the world.
But this is really the time.
The time that the light is going to be so much more.
I think what Bhatia was saying and she had to step out for another meeting but what Bhatia was saying that is so obvious in this time period specifically is that the contrast between light and darkness is so much more stark.
The kindness that you would do two years ago shines so much more brightly today and is so much more valuable today amid all of the darkness that it really does.
I want to challenge everybody who is listening to be that diamond,
To express that diamond every day this week as much as possible.
Set a reminder in your phone every hour to have an alarm that tells you be the diamond.
Shine the diamond and see what happens.
Come back next week and let us know.
Continue to rate,
Review,
Share.
By the way,
Sharing,
That's the most powerful thing you can do.
If you are enjoying what we're doing,
If you like what we're doing,
If you're benefiting from it,
Share it.
Spread the word.
The more people living this,
The better the world is going to be.
David?
That was great.
I did want to emphasize the first thing we said which is we have an intense time.
The way to harness intensity is to be soft,
To be calm,
To be centered.
Do not mimic the intensity and that's how you harness the energy.
That's what he said.
What he said,
Absolutely.
Everybody,
Have a fabulous week.
Thank you for joining us and for sharing.
We will see you next week on the Weekly Energy Boost.
