Hello,

Welcome to Guided Jewish Meditations.

My name is Eliezer.

Today's meditation is about the Jewish day of rest,

The Holy Shabbos.

If we look around our interconnected world today,

It becomes clear that our ability to achieve a level of peace,

Of rest,

And of spiritual mindfulness has become more and more difficult.

It has become almost impossible for us to live an hour of the day without our phones,

Work,

And other distractions invading our life,

Our minds,

And our souls.

Shabbos is the island of refuge against the invasion of everyday life.

Ancient divine wisdom teaches us that the creation of all of existence by the source of all culminated on the seventh day,

Shabbos.

On this day we are taught the infinite Creator rested and rejuvenated.

How is this possible?

Why would the perfect omnipotent Creator of all need to rest or rejuvenate at all?

The answer to this question lies in the very fabric of this day.

The physical,

Emotional,

And spiritual potential was planted for all of time and for all of mankind to rest on this day,

To rejuvenate,

And to reconnect to the infinite Creator.

The Shabbos day has within it the power to regenerate and rejuvenate all of mankind.

During today's meditation we will attempt to tap into this awesome power.

Let us begin.

Try and find a quiet,

Comfortable place where you can spend the next half hour or so undisturbed in meditation.

You should feel safe and relaxed.

If you can give yourself the gift to let go of your life's stresses and anxieties even just a little bit,

Your meditation will be deeper and more powerful.

Sit or lay down and gently close your eyes.

Breathe in deeply through your nose and fill your lungs completely.

After holding the air for a second or two,

Exhale completely through your mouth.

Repeat these breathing exercises for a minute or so.

As you breathe in,

Focus your mind on the air entering your body and allow it to fill your mind and soul with life and divine light.

And as you exhale,

Concentrate on whatever stress and anxieties you might be feeling at this time.

Using the air,

You exhale to expel along with it all negative emotions,

Leaving you free,

Relaxed and ready to enter a deep meditative state.

The Shabbos Day permeates the air.

Take a deep breath in through your nose.

Feel the warmth of the day's spirituality and light soak into your body as you experience its warmth and splendor.

It begins in your toes,

Warms them and covers them in light.

The light begins to move up your legs,

Through your knees,

Relaxing them and covering them in a layer of warmth.

You feel the divine energy continue up your body,

Through your thighs,

Hips and waist,

Moving up your chest and fusing itself with the divine light in your heart,

Filling your entire chest with this light.

You feel the divine energy continue upwards,

Covering your shoulders with warm softness,

Massaging away all stresses and anxieties of the week that has passed.

It continues on across your neck,

Smoothing away any feelings of pain you may be experiencing at this time.

As the divine light of Shabbos covers the rest of your body,

You suddenly feel it enter every cell of yours.

Billions and billions of vital cells being bathed in this light,

Revitalizing their very cores.

The light enters your bloodstream into every artery and vein throughout your body.

You feel the embrace of the day,

The divine light of the infinite source enter your body and become one with the life force of every cell throughout your body.

This is your Nefesh,

The part of your soul that constitutes the life force within your physical existence.

Meditate on this part of your soul.

Allow your entire body to embrace the light of this day,

To bask in its warmth and to revitalize every cell throughout your existence.

As the light of the holy Shabbos continues to invigorate your body,

You feel the warmth of this divine light enter your emotions,

Slowly spreading itself across the entire spectrum of your life's emotional composition.

It enters your heart,

Calming it and filling it with peace and contentment.

Allow this warmth to find its way into any negative emotion you might have been feeling over the past week.

Whether it be anger,

Hurt,

Anxiety or any other painful emotion,

Allow the light spreading itself over your emotional DNA to infuse itself with the negative emotion and filling it with radiating warmth and light.

If someone hurt you,

Meditate on this hurt for a few moments and then discover the divine gift of forgiveness,

The ability to let go,

To free yourself of the heavy burdens of these emotions and to emerge a freer person than the one you were before.

Free of the negative energy these emotions carry with them and free of having them hold you back from living up to your fullest potential.

As this divine light completely fills your emotions with its warmth,

You feel your Ruach,

The level of your soul connected to your emotions,

Fuse itself with your Nefesh,

Elevating it and becoming one with it.

You feel your entire body become one with the emotions of your heart and with the light of this day.

Meditate on the peace and tranquility of this day and on the experience of freedom that comes from forgiveness.

You continue meditating on the light and peace of this day and slowly feel this light enter your mind and intellect,

Entering it from all sides,

Filling your entire mind and consciousness with ancient divine wisdom.

This is the level of your soul called the Neshama,

The seat of reason,

Of logic and of free will.

Focus on your mind.

Allow the warmth of this day to enter it,

To elevate it and to fill it with light.

Your mind contains within it the connection to the source of all.

It is the infinite creator's precious gift of Shabbos that is filling you with its divine potential to rejuvenate.

Allow this warmth to permeate and penetrate every brain cell in your mind,

Cleansing your intellect and filling you with the divine wisdom that lies within the very fabric of this holy day.

Meditate on your very existence,

On your incredible ability to choose right from wrong and on the part of your soul that allows you to reason and to think.

Visualize the warmth of the light of this day flow through this part of your soul,

Cleansing it,

Rejuvenating it and revitalizing your very existence.

As you continue meditating on your neshama,

You feel your nefesh and luach elevate themselves,

Becoming one with your mind and intellect.

As these three layers of your soul unite,

You feel the divine light of the Shabbos Day flow freely throughout your body,

Heart and mind,

Healing every fiber of your existence,

Rejuvenating you and filling you with life.

Continue meditating on this,

Allowing the healing light of Shabbos to penetrate every aspect of your being,

Washing over you with its power to heal and rejuvenate.

As you continue meditating on this,

You feel the divine light of the Shabbos Day flow freely throughout your body,

Healing every fiber of your existence,

Rejuvenating you and filling you with life.

As you continue meditating on this,

You feel the divine light of the Shabbos Day flow freely throughout your body,

Healing every fiber of your existence,

Rejuvenating you and filling you with life.

As you continue meditating on this,

You feel the divine light of the Shabbos Day flow freely throughout your body,

Healing every fiber of your existence,

Rejuvenating you and filling you with life.

As the light of Shabbos continues to flow freely through the three levels of your soul,

You open your mind's eye and see an ancient gateway slowly appear before you.

It is a gateway that lies deep within your neshamah where neither time nor space exists.

As you allow your mind's eye to focus on this gateway,

You feel your soul's connection to it intensify.

Your soul's connection to what lies beyond,

The very life force that feeds it at every moment of your life runs through this gate.

As you meditate on this gateway,

You suddenly see radiating waves of intense light flood the gateway from the other side.

You recognize this light as being the same light and life force of your neshamah,

Yet it is much more intense and bright.

This is your very own neshamah Yisra,

Carved from the very spiritual fabric of the eternal source of all,

That descends upon you every Shabbos Day.

As you visualize the intense light on the other side of the gate,

You feel your neshamah reach out,

Take a hold of this gate and slowly open it wide.

As this intense light reaches you,

You feel it surround you,

Form a divine layer of warmth around you and diffuse itself with every aspect of your body,

Heart,

Mind and soul,

Forming a crown of light around your very existence.

Meditate on this crown.

It is the crown of the holy Shabbos Queen.

It surrounds you from all sides,

Unites you with all of existence and makes you one with the infinite source.

You are the one who is the source of all of existence and makes you one with the infinite source.

You are the one who is the source of all existence and makes you one with the infinite source.

You are the one who is the source of all existence and makes you one with the infinite source.

You are the one who is the source of all existence and makes you one with the infinite source.

You are the one who is the source of all existence and makes you one with the infinite source.

You are the one who is the source of all existence and makes you one with the infinite source.

You are the one who is the source of all existence and makes you one with the infinite source.

As you breathe in deeply,

A deep secret begins to materialize in your mind and soul.

It forms as divine wisdom in your Neshama and slowly spreads throughout your entire intellect.

The Shabbos Day is the source of blessing for the entire week ahead.

The very flow of divine energy and life you rely on throughout the week finds its source on this day.

The more you meditate and connect to this light,

Allowing it to surround you and fill your mind and soul,

The greater the blessing throughout the coming week is.

Allow this wisdom to permeate your mind and soul.

Accept the gift of the blessings of Shabbos and channel it into your entire life.

You are the one who is the source of all existence and makes you one with the infinite source of all existence and life you rely on.

You are the one who is the source of all existence and life you rely on.

You are the one who is the source of all existence and life you rely on.

You are the one who is the source of all existence and life you rely on.

You are the one who is the source of all existence and life you rely on.

You are the one who is the source of all existence and life you rely on.

You are the one who is the source of all existence and life you rely on.

You are the one who is the source of all existence and life you rely on.

The time has come to conclude this meditation.

Breathe in deeply and allow your entire body to relax as you bring your mind back to the present.

Continue breathing slowly and deeply until you feel you have fully returned.

Breathe in deeply and allow your entire body to relax as you bring your mind back to the present.
