37. Magen: The Divine Shield [Advanced]

There is a Divine Shield, Magen in Hebrew, that is connected with the levels of the soul, and the mystical wisdom of the Jewish people teaches that the Light contained within the letters of the Aleph Beis, the ancient alphabet of the Torah, contain within them the gates to this shield. This advanced meditation guides the listener into a deep spiritual state of mind, where these gates are explored, and where this shield is accessed and harnessed, offering protection from all harm.

Welcome to Guided Jewish Meditations.

My name is Eliezer.

Today we will embark on a deep journey of the soul through its connection to the divine and in the process learn of the secret of the divine shield,

Where the light contained within the letters of ancient Hebrew releases its potential,

Originating from the eternal creator to shield us from that which is stronger than us.

Whether it be from physical pain,

Emotional distress,

Or spiritual feelings of void and disconnection,

The letters of this ancient language carry within them the gates to the light coming from beyond,

From the source of all that exists.

And within this light,

The divine shield that comes along with it,

Always with you,

Surrounding you and protecting you at all times.

This is an advanced spiritual meditation.

During this meditation,

You will delve into the deepest and most sacred aspects of the soul,

Your spiritual connection to the source of all.

You will draw from the gates of light that exist within the letters of the Aleph Beis,

The ancient Jewish letters,

Who serve as vessels for the divine energy that keeps everything in existence at all times.

Within these letters lie these gates and therefore it is best to visualize the actual letters in your mind's eye.

During this,

Especially when visualizing the letters as black fire upon white fire,

The spiritual parchment of your mind's eye allows you to reach an even higher spiritual place,

Drawing from it and bringing it into your world and existence.

Please find a quiet,

Comfortable and clean place to meditate.

It is important that you feel safe and secure,

Able to release your attention from all that is physical,

And to allow your soul to soar,

To transcend your consciousness into the realm of the spiritual,

Where the soul can truly experience a relationship with the divine,

And to learn of and experience the secrets that await to be discovered in this spiritual world.

Sit or lay down,

Close your eyes,

And relax your body,

Releasing any tension you may be experiencing at this time.

Begin breathing slowly and evenly,

And experience the renewal of the soul invigorated by the air contained within each breath you take.

And as you exhale,

Further cleanse your body and consciousness of any negative energies you may be feeling.

Whether it be pain,

Anxiety or stress,

Allow these negative energies to simply flow away from you as you exhale,

Leaving you in a completely relaxed state of body and mind.

Continue breathing this way,

And release all control of your life to the connection of your soul with the Creator of all,

Who is waiting for you right now to carry you on this journey of the divine shield.

Your mind is the gate to the divine.

It is through this gate that your consciousness travels when it is aware of the true divine nature of all that exists.

This awareness intensifies when the mind is still,

When it is fully aware and cognitive of the infinite source of all,

The one who hides behind the stillness of the mind.

Breathe in deeply and gently clear your mind of all thought.

Allow complete nothingness to spread across the spectrum of your consciousness in complete stillness,

Ready to begin this divine journey.

Before you,

Appear the radiating outlines of the two letters Aleph and Lamed,

Appearing before you in a gentle shimmering black light,

Appearing in stark contrast to the white background of the parchment of your mind.

The place in your consciousness where these sacred letters appear when you truly allow them to penetrate your soul.

You allow your focus to settle on these two letters,

And you see the Lamed begin to slowly shift in the air before you as it slowly divides its light into three letters Yud.

The three Yuds solidify into their final form,

And as they complete their formation,

They begin to move in your mind's eye as one slowly moves to your right,

One to your left,

And the last one above you,

Hovering over you in the stillness of your mind.

Relatively conscious of these three letters Yud,

You breathe in deeply and allow your mind to gently shift from the Yuds that surround you to the remaining Aleph before you.

It fills your mind's eye,

Appearing in black fire,

Shimmering against the nothingness of your mind.

Before you lies the letter that represents the balance of your Nefesh,

The first level of your soul,

The part of the divine spark within you that is most intimately connected to your physical body.

As this reality spreads across your consciousness,

You observe the Aleph slowly approach you,

Surround you from all sides,

And align itself with your lower torso,

The center line of the Aleph perfectly balanced between your legs,

With each side of the Aleph spreading its light evenly between your two legs in perfect balance with you.

You meditate on this Aleph,

Allowing it to fill your mind and soul,

And as your meditation intensifies,

You see the three Yuds move around this Aleph,

One above your right leg,

One above your left leg,

And the top Yud aligning itself just below your liver,

Above your navel,

At the center of your Nefesh.

Continue meditating on these three Yuds,

Balanced with the Aleph of your Nefesh,

Keeping you alive and in existence at this moment.

Experience the physical protection this portion of the divine shield gives you,

A protection against anything that can harm your body,

Shielded by the light of your Nefesh,

Always connected with your Creator.

Stay upright.

You you your meditation deepens and and your mind moves to the deepest part of your nefesh at the point where it surrounds your ruach the second level of your soul Integral to every breath you take your ruach Finds its essence in the air you breathe the very life force of all that is you It is your ruach that finds its perfect center in your heart at the core and midpoint of all that you are and It is with every breath that you take That you draw from the life of the eternal source of all of life Whose divine light keeps you alive every time you breathe As this truth fills your heart with light you behold before you a second pair of the two letters aleph and lament the same two letters that began this journey as you meditate on these two letters glowing in spiritual light before you You again observe the lamed flow into the formation of three letters yet They slowly approach you and again align themselves to your right left and above your head You take a deep breath and Focus completely on the aleph before you It is this aleph that is at the center of the mystical letters vav aleph vav with the same numerical value as echad one the center of the ineffable name of the creator of all and Also the root of your ruach centered in your heart Perfectly balancing everything you are as You allow this secret to spread throughout your torso You behold the aleph before you move towards you growing larger Until it surrounds you from all sides Aligns itself with your spine and flows into your ruach becoming one with it You experience the divine connection of your ruach Spread itself across your shoulders and arms the two sides of the aleph balancing your arms and hands along with your heart as the aleph Completely fills your body mind and soul You behold the three yuds move towards you one into your right arm into your right arm one into your left arm and the third one moving into your neck Surrounding your throat the point Where the air you breathe?

Carries within it the spiritual light that connects your ruach with the source of all the vav aleph vav of the name of the infinite source always connected with all that you are It is here that your ruach offers you the emotional protection of the infinite source of all the emotional shield provided by your connection to the divine as it governs your heart and balances your emotions Meditate on this emotional shield Within the balance of your heart Finding its center in this aleph Lies the emotional harmony that protects you from distress and pain from anxiety and fears and It is this harmony that lies in this portion of the divine shield the harmony of your heart with the will of the creator of all Protecting you right now and at all times You You You As your meditation deepens You experience a change in the stillness of your mind You feel as if the source of your very consciousness reveals itself Just a little Allowing you to grasp a reality that was previously hidden from you It is in this area of the mind that your nishama the third level of your soul Finds its connection to the divine Through the path that is only accessible through the deepest levels of your mind In this place time and space do not exist And it is here that raw logic and wisdom forms thoughts and reason And where the equilibrium and balance of your intelligence finds its center As you continue meditating on this You see before you the appearance of a third aleph and lamed Growing before you in radiating bright light Again the lamed dissolves And forms three letters you'd Aligning themselves with your mind in perfect harmony with your thoughts logic and reason The ids move to your right Left and above you in harmonic balance with you and As you take a deep breath You again see the aleph before you slowly grow larger across the entire breath of your mind's eye Aligning itself with the center of your brain As it surrounds you from all sides You experience the aleph entering your mind and consciousness Its center lines up in perfect alignment with your intellect Each side of the aleph filling a side of your brain With the bottom edge of the center line of the aleph resting at the base Of your brain As the visualization of this letter fills your consciousness with spiritual light You behold the three letters you'd move closer One moving into your right brain One into your left And the other moving into your right brain The third ids coming to rest at the midpoint of the crown of your forehead You breathe in deeply and become aware of the protection this level of the divine shield offers you It is at this point where your nishama connects to that which lies beyond And it is this connection that protects you against spiritual void and disconnection From the creator of all Meditate on this connection and recognize it as the spiritual guardian of all that stands in the way Of you maximizing your soul's relationship with the divine The three levels of your soul perfectly balanced with the three alephs Each aleph surrounded by three ids cover your body mind and soul from all sides You have fully integrated these divine letters with all that you are It is now that the completed divine shield forms The shield made of three levels Each one covering one level of your soul One level of your soul It is when you are in perfect balance with the source of these levels of your soul The eternal creator of all that you experience the magen,

Shield The unity that keeps you protected from all that wishes to hurt you From all pain and anxiety The shield that originates from the one who holds you and shields you at every moment of your life As this divine secret spreads its light and warmth throughout your existence You behold the three alephs of your soul slowly merge into one Into the one true source of the three levels of your soul The chaya that hovers above you at every moment They converge into one point And as this exquisite point of light forms into a letter that can channel its light You behold the formation of a single yud It fills your mind's eye in all its radiating light and splendor With your nefesh flowing into the lower tip Your ruach forming the body of it And your neshama flowing and converging into the upper tip Uniting as one and combining all that you are into one eternal source The source of your life and the universe The source of your life and the origin of the divine shield of your soul Protecting you right now and at every moment Meditate on this shield The unification of the three levels of your soul that form this magain,

Shield And allow the light of the infinite source of all to reach you,
