Welcome to week one of Boost Self-Love Through Creativity.
Welcome,
Welcome from the depths of my heart,
Soulful woman,
To this transformative journey of self-discovery and artistic expression.
My name is Elisa Colangeli and I am here to guide you on a path of reconnecting with your most authentic self.
Together,
We will embark on a series of seven art prompts,
Each designed to help you unlock your blocks,
Cultivate self-love,
And awaken a new sense of purpose.
Each session will be divided into two parts.
In the first one,
We will meditate,
So that our imagery is enhanced and we create space in our head,
Spirit,
And body to make art mindfully.
In this way,
Inner and outer sources of inspiration will easily flow to us when we remove the resistance.
In the second part,
You will hear me giving instructions for the weekly art practice.
Instructions are very simple and you will have all the time to experiment with your art supplies,
Really enjoying the energy of colors and exploring the prompt that will be a sort of creative assignment.
This audio will end after that all the instructions will be available to you.
Remember that you are here because you want to love yourself more,
You want to respect yourself more.
You are here with the purpose of putting into action a love revolution,
Starting from yourself,
That will have unpredictable positive ripple effects on your relationships,
Physical health,
And mental and emotional well-being.
In this moment,
I invite you to take a deep breath and find a comfortable position allowing your body to relax and release any tension.
This journey is about honoring your unique essence,
Embracing your passion,
And rediscovering the vibrant light that resides within you.
The goal of these seven prompts is to provide you a sacred space for intuitive art practice,
Allowing new flowing energy,
Forgiveness,
New light to emerge.
And through the power of guided visualizations,
Soulful metaphors,
And creative prompts,
We will journey together to unlock the depths of your creativity.
Today,
We begin with the first prompt,
All about grounding and centering.
This practice will serve as a foundation for the journey ahead,
Establishing a solid connection between your body,
Mind,
And spirit.
By grounding ourselves,
We create a stable base from which to explore our inner world and unlock our creative potential.
As we venture into this guided visualization,
I encourage you to immerse yourself fully in the imagery and sensations.
Allow the worlds to open the root chakra,
The energetic center of your body associated with grounding and stability.
Embrace the imaginative language and vivid expressions as they stimulate all your senses,
Drawing you deeper into the experience.
Now let us begin your journey of grounding and centering.
Find a quiet space where you can fully immerse yourself in this transformative experience.
Close your eyes and allow your body to relax into the support beneath you.
Take a deep breath,
Inhaling slowly through your nose and exhale fully through your mouth,
Releasing any tension or distractions.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Again breathe in and breathe out.
With each breath,
You begin to sink deeper into a state of tranquility.
And as you settle into this peaceful space,
Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a vast ancient forest.
The air is cool and crisp,
Carrying the scent of moss and earth.
The ground beneath your bare feet feels solid and firm,
Connecting you to the wisdom of the land.
Take a moment to visualize the magnificent trees towering above you,
Their branches reaching towards the heavens.
Notice the rich hues of green in their leaves,
Each one vibrant and alive,
Breathing and giving oxygen to the air.
As you observe,
You become aware of a gentle breeze caressing your skin with a feather-like touch.
It carries with it a sense of calm and stability,
Like the sturdy roots that anchor the trees to the earth.
Now imagine yourself slowly walking deeper into the forest,
Feeling the softness of moss beneath your feet and the earthy scent intensifying.
With each step,
Your reconnection to the earth deepens,
Grounding you in the present moment.
Pause for a moment and take a deep breath,
Feeling the coolness of the forest air filling your lungs.
As you continue your journey,
You come across a small clearing bathed in dappled sunlight.
In the center of the clearing,
You notice a majestic oak tree,
Its massive trunk rooted firmly in the ground.
The tree's branches stretch outwards,
Like welcoming arms offering shelter and support.
Approach the oak tree and place your hands gently on its bark.
Can you feel the rough texture against your palms,
As if the tree is embracing you in a comforting embrace?
And as you lean against the tree,
Feel its grounding energy flowing into your body,
Grounding you deeper and deeper into the earth.
Take again deep breath in,
Filling your lungs with the pure,
Rejuvenating forest air.
As you exhale,
Imagine any tension,
Stress,
Or negative energy leaving your body,
Carried away by the wind.
Now take a moment to bring your attention to the base of your spine,
Where your root chakra resides.
Visualize this energy center as a vibrant,
Glowing red light pulsating with light force.
Imagine the red light growing brighter and stronger,
Nourishing your root chakra and connecting you to the earth's powerful energy.
In this moment,
You are fully present,
Fully connected to the wisdom of your body and the nurturing energy of the earth.
Stay in this state of grounding and centering for a few more breaths,
Allowing yourself to fully absorb the sensations,
The sights and the sounds of the forest.
When you're ready,
Come back to the present moment,
Slowly open your eyes and bring the tranquility and grounding energy of the forest with you into your day.
Let's now proceed to the practical side of our activity and let's create together.
If you do not have a specific corner that you can dedicate to your self-care,
Including art practice,
I do recommend to set it up one for our session and maybe you will decide to keep it forever in your home.
As an alternative,
You can enjoy a space in nature and bring a minimum set of art supplies in your bag,
Always available to give you joy.
When you're ready,
With all the energy of this wonderful visualization,
Sit comfortable at your desk with your art journal or sheets of paper in front of you and prepare an array of vibrant colored pencils or oil pastels or any media you want to incorporate in this intuitive drawing.
Aim of today's prompt is creating an abstract artwork that represents how you feel in this present moment.
So you can pause the audio to prepare your space and then you can start again.
Once everything is set and you are sitting comfortable at your chair,
You're now ready to draw.
Let your intuition guide your choice of colors,
Shapes and lines.
You just have to trust your inner artist,
Because you have one,
To express your emotions and thoughts on the paper.
Take your time and allow the artwork to unfold naturally,
Without judgment or expectations.
As you begin to create without paying too much attention to the logical part of your brain,
Allow the image on the paper to reflect your current state of being.
Let the colors and strokes flow freely,
Like the breeze rustling through the leaves of the ancient forest that we've been visiting some minutes ago.
Stay in silence with yourself.
Explore the emotion,
The thoughts,
The sensations that arise.
You can repeat this art practice and give a go on multiple pieces until the next trick prompt will be released.
And I bet that as you repeat this exercise,
You may notice some abstract patterns occurring,
Like circles,
Spirals,
Dots.
At this stage,
It is crucial that you do not get attached to the results,
But you just get your intuition flow through the spontaneous choice of colors,
Of lines,
Of all the things that you want to represent in your artwork.
Once you have done with that,
You can even journal through the help of these few questions that I will be asking you in a moment.
So what emotions arise within you as you connect with this present moment through your art?
How does the act of drawing in this moment make you feel?
Are there any sensations of insights that emerge?
And how does it reflect your current state of being?
Do you think that the outcome,
The visual outcome of your practice is coherent with your state of being?
So I really encourage you to delve deeper into your emotional and sensory experience as you engage in the artistic process.
And this prompt will provide a space for reflections and self-awareness.
And we will build all the layers of self-love upon this solid foundation.
But it's important that you trust your intuition in just making lines and making marks on that piece of paper.
Trust yourself.
Don't judge yourself.
Embrace yourself.
Love yourself.
