Eternity.
Can we even comprehend what it truly means for time to be stretched,
To never end,
Or to not exist at all?
For life to not be defined by clocks,
Watches,
Or watchers on the wall.
This life is short,
Yet planned meticulously.
A job,
A partner,
A life that could be,
In just a moment,
Dissolved into nothingness.
Empty space.
Ending up in spiritual court.
Have you prepared your case?
Every mistake we made is already paid.
Yet God honors our free will.
Our choice to accept or reject.
Eternity with Him.
So simplified,
The only stone of stumbling could be our pride.
Have you once shifted attention from creation to creator,
To Jesus' life,
Death,
And resurrection?
Just a moment of your day,
Before life passes away,
Getting acquainted with the One,
The only One who can say,
I formed you in the womb and knew you before,
Or will you perhaps continue to ignore?
The case for Christ,
Undeniable,
Witnessed through many eyes,
Rejecting a greater leap of faith,
Also through rationalism,
For ultimately everything is a belief,
Even atheism.
Eternal damnation,
Paralyzing,
But it doesn't have to be.
His perfect love casts out all fear,
Your name written in the palm of His hand.
The promise of eternal heaven,
Yours when you draw near.
The age of grace,
Peacefully dying.
In the arms of His bride,
No tears nor crying.
Silence in heaven,
Then a storm face to face.
A great shaking for those who need fear,
Before having eyes to see,
Ears to hear,
And awaken.
Many have prayed in their final desperation,
Reveal yourself if you are real to me.
He has,
Is,
And will for those who ask wholeheartedly.
If I am wrong,
I am.
Spending my life surrendered to a force,
Every thought,
Word,
Intention from a negative source exposed,
Growing continuously into an unbroken version of me.
Merging myself with the One who,
Even in my greatest error,
Judged me worthy.
Carrying my weaknesses,
His heart shattered,
Instead of mine,
Into billions of pieces.
He brings me tears of joy whenever the Holy Spirit touches me.
In His presence,
Sin cannot be.
Pain,
Regret,
Shame,
Guilt,
Fear,
And all that holds me down flees instantly.
And what if I'm bright?
Are you willing to take that chance?
To gamble with eternity?
To spend a time far greater than what we have here in suffering and fear?
For rejecting Him means choosing to be separate from all that is love,
Joy,
And peace.
For He is love,
The Maker of joy,
The Prince of peace,
A life-giving Spirit.
Even when we try to take away honor,
We do err and lie for who created our ability to think.
Our brain,
Our body,
The heavens and earth.
Ignorance is pride,
Wisdom is meek.
He is the truth we seek.
Every drop of blood He shed,
He died for you alone,
Eagerly awaiting the moment He can welcome you home.
God is love,
The only thing required.
Humility,
To know there is something,
Someone greater than me.
Jesus is standing right outside the door of your heart,
Right here,
Right now,
Like the true gentleman He is,
Waiting patiently.
