In this talk, Ektaji talks about Time and Self-Effort on the Spiritual Path. Only at the right time, does Spiritual Knowledge comes to one. Being feverish does not hasten the dawning of Knowledge. And when the Knowledge does come, one has to make the Self-Effort (Purushartha) to implement and live the knowledge, to benefit in this lifetime. So on the Spiritual Path, one has to respect Time and make Self-Effort, so both Time Karma and Purushartha go hand-in-hand.

Thank you very much for everything.

We are learning and trying to remember Ashtavakya Gita advises.

But it is very difficult to implement the fact that I am nothing.

Not what I am thinking,

I am everything.

Not able to see everyone like my own in Chevin.

Sadhana is only meditation or anything,

Any other advice.

Time,

Time.

You have some karma.

Your karma has brought you to this particular level in knowledge.

Now it takes time to start implementing this level into your real life.

There are many people out there who have been,

Who know about the knowledge but they are not in knowledge.

There are so many people running around Guruji but not interested in knowledge at all.

So many people have libraries full of Gurudevs,

Books and CDs but that's where they sit.

The entire book shelf has gotten enlightened but not there.

So everybody has a time karma.

At a particular time certain knowledge comes to me.

It is my time karma to receive this knowledge but now for me to mature in this knowledge also is going to take some time.

Only if I make efforts or purushartha am I going to mature in that knowledge.

I can let go of that knowledge in this lifetime also.

What will happen?

Finished.

I'm going to kick the bucket without progressing.

Next lifetime I'll start only at that level.

So I won't lose it but I will not have matured to my full potential in this lifetime which I could have.

So respect time karma that in its own time it will come and after it comes give yourself some time sadhana and that earnest purushartha to implement it in life.

Purushartha you understand right?

Self-effort.

Making that effort to implement it.

Come what may.

When storms of emotions come up I have to make that effort to pull myself out of that storm of emotion.

To recognize and become aware there is the storm of emotion and I'm just getting sucked into it.

You see what I'm saying?

If I don't make an effort and I get lost in my storm of emotions then I will start shouting and screaming at everybody in the family.

What have I done?

Have I implemented the knowledge?

No no.

So you see what I'm saying?

You have to make your effort and respect time at the same time.

These two go hand in hand.

Time karma and purushartha.

Clear?

And then it will just happen.

Be relaxed about it.

It's not the way in India,

I have to become a merit holder.

I have to become a merit holder.

I have to become I don't know what else.

Yeah that feverishness that is there on the material world side you can't take that feverishness into spirituality.

Doesn't work.

In spirituality what works is relaxing.

In the material world what works is that getting all tense and whatever I have to do this I have to focus.

In spirituality you relax.

Yeah let go.

Just be.

The more you relax the easier it is for that knowledge to come to you because you've already heard Gurudev.

You have already done your homework on that part intellectually so it is all there in the intellect but if it is not coming to me it's because I'm not relaxed enough.

Yeah and to become a more relaxed person meditate.

Let go.

What little little cravings and aversions you're holding on to.

They don't make any sense anyways.

Yeah give it time you'll get there.
