And when you feel complete very slowly and gradually taking your own time.

Open your eyes.

Very good.

Good.

Yeah?

How is the mind now?

Is it always like this after you do your home kriya?

Probably not.

Why?

Because we are not doing like this.

What prevents the mind from resting?

Logically go into it.

Now you've started doing Ashtavakra also.

What prevents the mind from going within?

Beautiful.

It can be a very simple thought like I have to switch off the washing machine.

Or I have to switch off the gas.

Such a silly little thought.

And you sit with your eyes closed.

I am going to sit and do my kriya.

Now I am going to meditate.

And that one little thought will come again and again and bother you.

Again and again it comes and bothers you.

Have you noticed?

You might have just those 20 minutes because of so much work at home and office.

Just those 20 minutes.

And 20 minutes you've really wasted thinking,

Oh I have to switch off the gas.

I have to switch off the gas.

You've not really meditated.

Hasn't this happened?

Yes.

What is this called?

What is this thought called?

Because we are doing Ashtavakra.

I want to do this.

What is this?

Come on.

It's so simple.

I want this.

Is that right?

I want this.

I don't want this.

What is it called?

Raga.

How many times we've done it now?

I want this is a raga.

I don't want this is?

Dvesha.

Dvesha.

Got it?

Start recognizing your own ragas and your own dveshas that are inhibiting you from meditating or even just relaxing for those 20 minutes.

It's the easiest to recognize in your Shatkriya.

Because your intention is what?

I'm going to sit and do my Shatkriya.

I'm going to just relax.

So your whole focus is on the mind.

So that's where you will start recognizing.

Oh this is a raga in me.

Oh this is a dvesha.

She said this today.

She said this.

Why did she say this?

What did this mean?

I think she thinks like this.

I think she does not think like this.

Doesn't it go on?

One record.

One little thing somebody said to you.

And you hold on to it.

Have you seen this?

Yeah?

And I create a whole drama in my mind about it.

I'm not resting.

And haven't you noticed this happens even in the night?

You lie down on your bed.

Okay now I have to sleep.

And for the longest time you're just turning right,

Turning left.

Turning right,

Turning left.

Not sleeping.

Why?

Some or the other thought like this.

He said this.

She said this.

This happened.

That happened.

Does it let you sleep?

You know you have only 5-6 hours.

Next morning you have to wake up at a particular time.

You have to get to work.

No option there.

I need to sleep right now and I waste one hour really just thinking about her or him.

Recognize this is your raga or dvesha that bothers you.

So what to do?

Okay I recognize.

Now what?

Now what?

How?

By observing those.

Beautiful.

So first step,

Gurudev says observe.

You're not even aware first of all.

You're so lost in that thought of her or him,

You're not even aware that you're wasting time.

You're supposed to sleep or you're supposed to meditate.

Unnecessary record is going on.

So first is observe.

Oh this is what I'm doing.

This is what my mind is lost in right now.

After that?

Stay in present.

How?

My mind is stuck.

No.

She said this.

He said this.

Kyungola.

Mirko Kyungola.

There is an emotion behind it.

Recognize it.

There will be anger behind it.

There will be something,

Some emotion you are feeling in the body.

What to do about that now?

I'm so stuck.

I observe.

Now I know.

Oh.

Next.

Please bring back the attention.

Let go and bring back the attention.

Just keep observing the mind.

So first is observe.

You keep observing.

Third,

She already said let go.

In the middle I have to do something to be able to let go.

It's not easy,

No?

Let go.

Right now I tell you let go of that guy or that girl who is bothering you in your head.

Easy?

There has to be a step in the middle.

What is that?

Very nice.

Bring yourself to the present and.

.

.

Yes.

Apply one knowledge point.

Yes.

Apply one knowledge point.

Whichever appeals to you.

That is why I say do some knowledge every week.

So something your mind will learn you,

It will apply that.

So we call it the process of filtering.

If you've just done the basic course,

The point that comes to your head,

Live in the present moment.

It's past.

You cannot do anything about it.

You're not even sure whether you're going to wake up tomorrow morning.

Why are you bothered about something so stupid?

Filter we call this.

Applying some knowledge is filtering.

Cleaning out is required.

I observe.

Just by observing it's not going,

I filter with some gyan,

With some knowledge.

And then I let go.

Guruji you take this away from me.

I have just understood I have been wasting my time.

I have to be in the present moment.

Right now let me just focus on my pranayama or whatever you're doing.

Observe,

Filter and surrender.

Guruji,

God,

Whoever you believe in.

Doesn't matter.

Surrender means let go.

Same thing as let go.

So applying some knowledge will help you really let go of the raga.

Otherwise what is it?

I can just suppress something,

No?

What happens by suppressing?

It keeps going on.

Correct.

What you resist will persist.

If you keep resisting something,

It keeps coming back.

So drop the resistance to a raga or duisha.

Recognize,

Oh this is my raga or this is my duisha.

Observe.

Second step.

I need to work on this.

Unnecessary.

I've been thinking about this person and I've been thinking about this person for 10 days,

10 years also some people.

20 years.

I've been wasting so much of my time.

It's silly.

If I have to take an action,

I can take it in that moment.

Why am I spoiling my sleep right now?

Or why am I spoiling my meditation right now?

Are you seeing what I'm saying?

So educate yourself.

That is the second step.

Filtering.

Whatever word you want to use.

Applying knowledge is very important.

And then Gurudev,

You take this away from me.

I give this problem to you.

I surrender this raga or duisha to you.

It's nothing.

It's very silly.

I recognize it and I surrender it to you.

Take a deep breath.

Focus on your breath.

Come to the present moment and go to sleep.

Or get into your kriya or meditation.

Clear?

What are the three steps?

Repeat.

Observe.

Filter.

Surrender.

Got it?

Observe.

Filter.

Surrender.

It's just like on your laptop,

You have many folders created years ago.

And suddenly your laptop says,

Memory full.

Memory full.

I cannot save anymore.

What do you have to do?

Delete.

You have to delete some folders,

Right?

It's the same thing.

You go into a folder.

Observe.

Then you start filtering.

Oh,

This is not required.

This is not required.

This is not required.

Then after applying all your knowledge,

What do you do?

Delete.

Delete.

Delete.

Observe.

Filter.

Delete.

Or surrender.

Whatever you like to call it.

Three steps are essential to let go of something that I have been holding onto in my mind.

Remind me of the past.

I don't know if I've told you this story before.

My grandmother was sitting.

She's no more.

She was sitting at the dining table.

And very,

Very old that time she was.

What do very old people like to do?

Early in the morning when the newspaper comes?

Read what?

Who died?

Obituary.

She still loved to read the obituary.

Very old.

Nineties,

She was like.

So she's the first look at the obituary.

Who died?

So one morning when she was having her morning tea,

She was looking at the obituary and she started screaming.

Yeah,

Annie Thomas is dead.

Annie Thomas is dead.

Like what?

Somebody is dead?

You react like that?

So she's like,

You don't know.

1976,

She stood over there on that platform right in this square and said this,

This,

This to me.

1976.

Yeah,

We were in 2000.

We were in 2010.

So many years.

She was carrying it in her head.

Annie Thomas is sitting upstairs having a cup of coffee with God,

Enjoying.

But she's still sitting in your head and bothering you.

See that?

Do you have an Annie Thomas in your life?

You'll check.

Annie Thomas of your life is probably enjoying her Sunday morning sleep.

Right now,

Thinking about her,

Your smile goes away.

Annie Thomas or Mr.

Thomas,

Whatever.

So you recognize if there is a raaga dvesha,

What will you do?

Observe,

Filter and delete the file.

I don't want it anymore in my head.

It's done with.

Yeah.

So stop using it just on the laptop.

Start here.

We need to delete a lot of files.

Sunday is a good day to do deletion work.

All day,

Take up this exercise.

Pick up a folder from your head,

Which bothers you a lot.

Could be a person.

It could be a situation.

It could be a thing.

A craving for I want this.

I want this.

I want this.

And I'm not getting that for 10 years,

20 years.

And I keep I want this.

I want this.

Yes.

I have created a horrendous folder which is hovering around me all the time.

Catch hold of this folder.

Filter and delete.

Yes.

Can we do that?

Observe,

Filter and delete.

Observe,

Filter and surrender to Gurudev or to God.

That's your homework for the week.

Good.
