AD SE - Ch 2.2 I-The-Now Am The Totality
by Ekta Bathija
Listen to Ektaji guide us through a self-exploration meditation, “I-the-Now am the Totality" from Chapter 2 of Atmananda Krishna Menon’s book Atma Darshan. Taking a step beyond the body-mind, the “I” collapses, and one simply is. What remains is simple being- the NOW. The NOW arises and dissolves like a hologram made of labels: subject and object, time and space, cause and effect. On closer inquiry, past, present, and future are seen as mere ideas, for whatever happens happens only in the NOW. Questions of the waking world are illogical, as the waking world itself is an illusion, along with the ideas of creator and doer. I am before the waking, dream, and deep sleep states- the NOW in which they arise and dissolve- while I remain. All ideas are illusory waves arising and dissolving in me, the NOW. The part can never explain the total. The final recognition: I-the-NOW am the Totality.
