This is a guided meditation to embrace peace in the midst of difficult situations by acknowledging the greatness of our being. This is a vivid visualisation of how we can diminish the power of a given threat in our lives by diminishing its meaning.

Welcome to this guided meditation.

Together we're going to be embracing difficult situations,

Challenges that might be present in our lives today with peace and ease.

As we make a recount of our life experiences,

We know we have experienced many challenges and we have come through them.

Some of them were easier,

Some of them require some kind of decision from our end,

But then at a given point in time we're faced with challenges and situations that there's nothing that we can do.

They're beyond our control,

They're beyond of our decision power.

They are part of the context of the environment,

Perhaps relationships,

Perhaps behaviors of different people,

Perhaps job-related environment or even illness that we are experiencing.

Now those situations come and they're part of our life.

They bring learnings as we embrace the emotions that come with them.

With compassion we can acknowledge that we are human beings and it's fine to feel sadness,

It's fine to feel anger,

And it's fine to feel joy.

Now we can release those emotions by acknowledging and embracing that the situation that we might be facing today is out of our reach and control,

But yet we can decide.

One thing that we always can decide is how we perceive the situation,

How we decide to work with the situation,

And how we decide to live with it.

So find a comfortable place today.

You can be sitting,

You can be laid down,

Because we're going to be together working with our mind,

Acknowledging the situation and allowing our heart to embrace the true peace that lies within us.

As you take a deep breath in this position that you decide could be standing,

Could be lying,

Just take a deep breath,

Close your eyes,

Feel the air coming in and coming out.

Enjoy the sense of being with yourself.

Feel your compassionate self.

You might want to feel your heart as it flows blood all over your body.

Continue breathing slowly in and out.

And now together we're going to visualize this situation that is giving you some kind of information,

That is providing some kind of emotion,

Some kind of uncomfortable state of well-being.

Just visualize this situation about 10 feet apart from where you're standing or laying down.

Just observe how it looks at a distance without any judgment.

Imagine you're sitting in front of a TV or a movie theater watching it at a distance,

This situation.

This distance is about 10 feet apart and it has all the emotions and all the feelings that you recall,

That you only know.

Now keep breathing in and out.

As the situation starts moving away from you another 10 or 20 feet apart,

At a distance might still look close but it's about 50 feet away from you.

As an spectator of the situation some details lose perspective.

You might still feel the sensations,

You might still feel the emotions,

Maybe some sadness,

Maybe some anger,

Perhaps some sensations of being out of control.

It's okay,

It's fine because it's part of who we are.

Now as an spectator of this situation it suddenly starts to move even further and further from our side of being.

At this point it's about 300 feet from your gaze and with at that distance the situation loses most of the details,

Most of its structure.

Even the color is different because it's at a distance.

The emotions are still there but they are easing,

They're getting lighter.

As we breathe deep,

Take a deep breath in and out,

We realize that we are in control of our breath and we are in control of the way we perceive things in life.

Just take another quick look at the situation and this time is so so far away.

It had moved so far from us that is within perhaps a thousand,

Two thousand feet away.

At this point you can take a look at the situation.

Colors are blurry,

Details are not even noticeable.

However the sensation of the situation remains but it's different.

It's a situation that is lighter as emotions become lighter and as we take a deep breath in and out,

Now we concentrate on the greatness of our soul.

We concentrate on the greatness of our being.

Let's keep breathing in and out slowly.

Feeling the peace that lies within our self,

Feeling the greatness of our being,

Allowing yourself to become taller and taller and taller,

Allowing yourself,

Even sitting or laying down,

To become taller and taller.

And as you gaze around you notice that the situation that was bringing you grief is no longer at a side of you.

You can no longer see the situation because it lost all the power,

It lost all the intensity as it became smaller and smaller and you became taller and taller.

Now with that sensation,

With that emptiness where the grief was taking place,

We're going to embrace true peace.

Suddenly a bright light comes into your room.

It's bright and it's confirmation of the peace that has always been within you.

The light starts by entering your heart,

Bringing light and joy to all the cells within you.

The light is in your heart,

Is where it belongs,

Bringing clarity,

Bringing peace,

Bringing joy.

The light is so strong,

So beautiful,

So bright that now it covers you from head to toe.

Keep reading,

Allowing the light to fill each corner of your body,

Each cell that moves around your bloodstream is carrying the light of peace.

And as you experience the peace,

Let's keep breathing in and out.

And with a heart and mind of gratitude,

Let's be thankful for this light of peace.

Let's be thankful that we are allowing ourself to be,

That we are allowing ourself to let go and really pay attention of the greatness of our peace that lies within us.

Allowing any situation to be as it is,

External to our inner peace,

The temporary situation that has brought us learning,

Tools that have brought us perhaps new lessons about who we are and our beliefs.

And as we move inwards,

The light covers all of our senses.

And it's joyful,

And it's peaceful.

Just be still.

You might want to enjoy the time that you are within this meditation,

Allowing the light of the true peace to guide you in your future decisions and in your future encounters with the environment.

Be at peace.

Be at peace.

Allowing the light to always be in your heart.

And you can know and know and rest assured that anytime you need access to that peace,

Just touch your heart as we're going to be about to do now.

Place both hands in your heart and activate the peace within you.

The light is with you,

And anytime you touch your heart,

The light is going to be activated within you.

Be at peace.

Rest assured.
