This "Gaia Air" meditation is simple, as it is designed with logical and easy to memorize steps. It is a profound acknowledgement of the air we breathe, the land around us and the connection between all beings. As we are all interconnected, this practice evokes a strong sense of groundedness and connection with the natural world. While this meditation can be performed anywhere, it is ideal to be positioned in front of a window, so that when you open your eyes at the end, you can see the land or sky. Note: This meditation is inspired by the work of Starhawk and Glenys Livingstone and the ever-present respiration of Mother Earth. The passage toward the end about "the early ancestors" is a quotation from The Earth Path (2004) by Starhawk.
