A 30-day series featuring a different positive affirmation each day. Each practice features a short meditation as a great way to start your day. I encourage you to write the affirmation down each day and place where you will come in contact with it frequently. Recite it aloud as you move throughout the world, outside of this practice. See how positive affirmations change your way of thinking and shift your mind with continued practice. Enjoy!

Hello and welcome.

This is Laura of Approachable Asana.

Thank you for joining this 30-day series,

The Daily Dose.

Each day there will be a short meditation practice using a positive affirmation as a mantra.

I encourage you to say these out loud as you move throughout your day.

You can even write them down on a post-it note or in a journal.

Each day will have a different affirmation and over time,

Hopefully they will help you shift any negative thinking patterns and replace them with positive ones.

With consistent use,

These affirmations can help you reprogram that subconscious mind.

Let's go ahead and find a comfortable seat.

Can do this practice seated in a chair on the floor.

Sit up nice and tall.

Relax your jaw and shoulders.

Allow your hands to rest in your lap or on your legs.

Allow your gaze to soften or your eyes to close if that feels safe and available.

And let's begin inhaling through the nose and exhaling with a sigh.

Let's do that two more times.

Inhaling through the nose,

Exhaling with a sigh.

One final inhale through the nose,

Exhale with a sigh.

Take a moment to just notice and be present.

Silently repeat to yourself the phrase,

I will not worry about things I cannot control.

I will not worry about things I cannot control.

These words can help you let go,

To stop clinging and gripping.

I will not worry about things I cannot control.

Allow peace to wash over you as you repeat this phrase.

I will not worry about things I cannot control.

Stay here and repeat this phrase silently as long as you'd like.

And then take it with you as you move throughout your day.

Take care and be well.
