Hello,
My friends,
This is Zan Roberti,
And I'm here today with a prayer,
A spell,
A meditation.
And the intention behind this one is better time management.
And I want to honor the time you're taking for this practice.
And as I speak it to you,
Please know I'm going to be bouncing back and forth between the pronouns I and you.
This is intentional.
When I say the pronoun I,
Please hold it as an affirmation.
Invoke that as a truth for yourself.
And when you hear the pronoun you or if I'm directly asking something of you,
It's because as I just mentioned,
There's a request for you to be embodied in some way.
So,
We'll begin,
I would like you to find a comfortable seat.
Find that position that feels easy,
Relaxed,
If you'd like,
You can also lie down and go ahead and close your eyes.
And before we begin,
Take a deep inhale and just naturally exhale.
And allow yourself to arrive in the moment.
Clarity,
Great gods of clarity,
Give me a clear set of time brackets to do the doings that I want to do.
A life less like long division and more like a breath held for pause,
Long enough to notice its power.
Now breathe in deep and hold at the top.
And release.
May the meetings I make it to bring me value.
May the wide open hours affix to my plan.
May my goals better the world for all.
May I do good and in doing so do well.
May the matrix of urgent and important click in when I'm offered a disaster that is not mine when a gorgeous butterfly lands on my thigh.
Imagine each life as an hour in the cosmic day.
Imagine each day as enough.
Now breathe in deep,
Full belly,
Hold at the top.
And release.
It's not scarcity that's damaging my path.
It's confusion,
Doubt.
It's fear,
A big hulking demon of fear that ticks and tickles like explosion is near.
All along it has been a false alarm.
Now breathe in deep,
Full belly,
Hold at the top.
Feel the breath within you expand and let it go.
Listen,
Listen deeper.
That is just your blood,
The liquid promise of your life.
The part of me that wants to solve problems is creating the problems where there are none.
The solving and solving over and over solving is the problem.
Lord Ganesha,
Let's have a chat.
Lady Keridwen,
Light the way.
Gods within me,
Gods before me,
Gods whose names I do not know,
Be here as my ancestor,
Be here as my love.
To the dawn daddy and the diva of dusk,
May the hours pass in alignment and trust.
Now breathe in deep,
Full belly,
Hold.
And release.
Who do you call divine?
Who do you pray to that hears?
May the forgetting be forgiven.
May the wasted time prove to be power.
When do we schedule inspiration?
When do we budget in laughter?
May the deviance I allow,
Allow for the right doors to open.
May my breaking break down systems that weren't built for me,
For my us,
For all of us,
To hold,
Heal,
And last.
Can you forgive?
Can you give grace?
Where do you hold it too tightly in your body?
Hand on heart.
Now breathe in deep.
Expand your belly,
Your chest.
Hold at the top.
And release.
May the center of me stay.
Be wanted,
Be whole.
Like the last lick on a Tootsie Pop,
But a taste whose agency is mine.
Clarity,
Gods of light,
Of knowing,
Of understanding,
Land here.
Like a language I've studied for years,
Spoken first in a dream,
Unconscious,
But right.
Finally,
And fast,
My future,
A dream I cast.
Now breathe in deep,
Full belly.
Expand the ribcage,
The front,
The sides,
The back.
Hold at the top.
What do you know deeply,
Beyond the clock's count?
To what,
To who,
Do you offer your soul?
Truth,
Be the root of my confidence.
Bravery,
Be my foundation.
Love,
Be my light.
This life is full of time spent knowing and forgetting itself.
Of years,
Of days,
Of hours and minutes.
I want to use them all to be poet and poem,
Lover and beloved.
I want to lean into this life to gnaw its bone to marrow,
To be chewed fully.
To call in the support,
The systems,
The sweet ways that I know God will listen and love me into my best self.
All in perfect time.
Deep inhale.
And release as you see fit.
Open your eyes.
And look up.
