Center yourself in the sacred silence, drawing inspiration from Leviticus 10:3. In this meditative practice, immerse yourself in repeated periods of quiet reflection, echoing the stillness of the divine presence. With each period of stillness, invite the Divine presence to permeate your being. Release the chatter of the mind and surrender to the profound depth of the silence. Let it cleanse and purify, igniting a spark of holiness within. As you dwell in this sacred space, feel the gentle whisper of the sacred enveloping you, guiding your thoughts and intentions. With each breath, allow the quietude to deepen, inviting clarity and reverence into your being. Through these sacred pauses, connect with the essence of holiness within and embrace the transformative power of divine silence in your journey of spiritual growth.

Let's begin with a bell.

This is going to be mostly a meditation of quiet.

Find the right spot to be quiet.

And acknowledge early on that you will get distracted.

Without phone,

Without conversation,

Without fidgeting,

Your mind's going to fidget.

Your mind will wander.

It's barely something to resist.

Daydreaming is almost as good as meditating.

And if you get caught up in some fearful fantasy,

Some sad rumination about the past,

Anxiety,

Despair,

Just come back to my voice.

I'll call you back periodically.

And enjoy being still,

Being quiet.

Notice where your body is as you begin.

Getting comfortable and even.

Arms down and relaxed so that your shoulders can spread.

Maybe tuck in your chin if that's comfortable so that your neck can get longer.

Feel the space between your tailbone and the top of your head extending.

And anything else that makes you comfortable and relaxed and allows you to let go into gravity would be good.

Because it's hard to be quiet,

So you might as well be comfortable.

When your body is fidgeting and repositioning and vibrating,

That's fine.

Maybe you can make it 5% more still.

Notice your muscle tone externally and your breath internally.

Comfortable,

Sore,

Deep,

Open.

Whatever feelings come up,

Even words,

And we're just noting them.

And then because you can,

Try to extend and slow down maybe 5,

Maybe even 10% more.

Not much,

Just a little practice.

And for most of this time of meditation,

I won't be saying much more.

Maybe every few minutes I'll just remind you to slow down,

To return to quiet,

To breathe.

Return to quiet,

To breathe.

Just simple cues so you don't get completely lost in space.

And if you want to stay lost in space,

That's beautiful too.

We'll start with a really big breath together and then go into some moments of quiet,

Stillness.

Surrendering to and accepting no words.

Enjoy the quiet.

Nowhere to be,

All the subtle sounds around you,

Inside you.

Or also,

Use your breath to go deeper into stillness and relaxation.

Whatever works for you at the particular moment is great.

A particular blessing or a feeling of being blessed?

You might notice.

You might do it even by letting go of words.

And then spend our remaining time going even deeper into quiet and stillness.

Perhaps finding a more profound peace.

In this very noisy world, silence is a gift. Especially good for Shabbat! Thank youπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ
