This meditation invites you to awaken the giant within — inspired by the mysterious Nephilim and Anakim, the great beings of ancient lore who walked tall upon the earth. As you breathe and expand your awareness, imagine yourself growing in spiritual stature: your presence stretching upward like a mighty tree, your reach extending in all directions, your heart vast and luminous. In this stillness, you are invited to become immense not in power over others, but in spirit — cultivating wisdom, compassion, and courage that fill the space around you. Stand tall in soul, rooted and radiant, a gentle giant of awareness.

Let's begin with a bell.

Coming down,

Settling into quiet,

Getting slow.

Just breathing,

Beginning this process of disconnecting from the outer world,

Letting it all go for 15 or so minutes,

Putting it aside,

Reserving this period just for you because you have chosen to meditate.

It doesn't have to make you wealthy,

It doesn't have to make you famous.

This is time to release ambition and even welcome boredom.

Inhale deeply,

Exhale slowly,

Settling down.

Close your eyes if you'd like.

Drop your shoulders,

Let loose your muscles,

Let gravity take over.

Start listening to the world around you and within you.

Birds,

Mechanical noises,

Breezes,

Cars whirring by.

Wherever you find yourself,

Just attune,

Listen in.

Like a spy on the world around you,

An eavesdropper.

Maybe you need to do little stretches or even big stretches or a yawn.

Growing more and more quiet,

More and more still,

Going inward.

Letting yourself relax and let go.

No to-do lists right now,

Nothing to accomplish,

Nothing to enact or enable,

Just being maybe a little goofy,

Maybe even a little amused at the madness of slowing down in a world that is speeding up,

For a few moments rejecting productivity.

We're going to connect with the part of us,

The ancestral gift that was giants,

And the part that was and could be and maybe is deeply connected to what is divine,

What is beyond,

What is great and good.

Some call that God,

Higher power,

Mystery,

Whatever word you need is just right.

For the moment,

Feeling your size,

The volume of your body,

The exterior and external boundary of your skin,

The space you take up,

Precisely.

Where are you?

How big are you?

Size and shape,

Longing.

There's something in you calling you upwards and outwards.

Maybe you can feel it or find it or identify it or maybe not,

Just trust that it's there.

Something wants you to be more than yourself.

Call it God or your spirit or something undefinable that invites you to grow every day.

At every moment,

Stretch into that,

Maybe even literally stretch,

Expand,

Extend,

Becoming bigger,

More upright,

Brighter.

Where do you feel yourself growing?

Your wrists,

Your joints,

Your spine,

Top of your skull,

Can you feel yourself expanding?

And your spirit called forth.

Breathing into it,

Breathing deeply to expand,

Slowly to confirm,

Settle,

Inhaling to expand.

Maybe you start to feel yourself stretching your limits either bodily,

Personally.

What are your possibilities?

Breathing,

Deepening and extending with the breath.

Take note of how you feel,

Maybe you're stretched a little,

Maybe you're expanded,

As if traction pulling you apart,

Making you bigger.

Take note of where you are now.

Maybe lighter.

And let's expand again.

Let's stretch ourselves beyond what we think is possible,

Extending physically,

Emotionally,

Spiritually,

With our conscience,

Consciousness.

Taller and more expansive.

Becoming giant.

Stretching into bigness and what that means about what we can give and how we can relate and what our capacity can become.

Breathing in as we expand,

Breathing out as you adjust.

Acknowledge.

In to stretch,

Out to settle.

In deeply,

Out slowly.

Have you gotten distracted yet?

Okay,

Just come back.

It makes sense to get distracted,

Your brain is firing.

Just return to the words of this meditation,

Maybe my voice,

Breath,

Stomach,

Pulse,

Whatever cues you have to listen and reattune.

Go for it.

And feel yourself growing.

Feel yourself embiggening,

To quote the Simpsons.

Stretching wide and tall and deep.

Maybe physically or just metaphorically,

Whatever suits you this time.

Becoming that size,

Becoming full.

Letting it settle,

Making peace with the new size,

Making peace with this capacity.

Taking a few moments to breathe into it.

And stretch again.

You might want to physically stretch,

You might want to move,

You might want to just imagine.

Expanding,

Getting taller,

Getting more.

Growing towards your giant self.

Part of you that has so much to give,

So much heroism,

So much strength and capacity.

Stretching,

Expanding,

Growing.

Just growing,

Growing.

Reach on out to your fullest limit,

Your greatest potential,

Your most expansive.

Come entering into your giant phase.

I'm using these last moments to settle into that bigness,

That greatness,

That is your heritage.

Breathing into it.

Coming into your full form.

Blessings.
