Welcome to the meditation on mindful breathing,
On the path to deep understanding and liberation from attachments.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable place where you can fully relax,
Yet at the same time maintain a straight spine and try not to move too much.
You can sit on a chair in a half lotus position or in a full lotus position,
Preferably on any semi-hard surface.
Close your eyes and let's embark on our journey into the world of mindful breathing.
Breath is the key to being present in the moment.
Feel the air entering through your nostrils,
Filling your body with fresh energy.
Each inhale brings new life and each exhale frees us from the past.
Breath is the key to being present in the moment.
Feel the air entering through your nostrils.
As you inhale,
Be aware,
Inhaling,
And as you exhale,
Be aware,
Exhaling.
As you inhale,
Be aware,
Inhaling,
And as you exhale,
Be aware,
Exhaling.
Try to remember your breath throughout the entire meditation.
We begin with the awareness that life is a lesson and its goal is understanding the truth.
Understanding the truth comes through viveka,
The realization that there is nothing permanent in this world.
How can we attach ourselves to something that is ever-changing like waves in the ocean?
We create fantasies and suffer when they don't come true.
But the only attachment that makes sense is attachment to God.
We start by recognizing that life is a series of teachings,
With the ultimate aim being the comprehension of truth.
This understanding of truth is achieved through viveka,
The discernment that nothing in this world is lasting.
How can we form attachments to things that are as transient as the waves in the sea?
We construct illusions and endure pain when they fail to materialize.
However,
The only sensible attachment is a connection to God.
Viveka enlightens us.
Our presence here is temporary and nothing is truly ours.
When an individual cultivates sufficient viveka,
Discerning wisdom,
The ephemeral nature of the world and its possessions becomes clear,
And a natural disinterest in them starts to take hold.
A person who has mastered their passions and cravings is known as a vairagi.
Understanding the truth comes through viveka,
The realization that there is nothing permanent in this world.
How can we attach ourselves to something that is ever-changing like waves in the ocean?
We create fantasies and suffer when they don't come true.
But the only attachment that makes sense is attachment to God.
When we fail to steer our own lives,
Fear takes root in our minds.
Where fear exists,
There's also distress,
Calamity.
Fear stems from the potential loss of what we're attached to,
Creating an imbalance that leads to either aversion or affection,
Expectations,
And ultimately desires,
Which are the seeds of suffering.
Clinking to hopes and aspirations ultimately leads to our undoing.
Attachment too will fade and become monotonous.
The root of suffering lies in human desires.
We don't control our lives,
Fear settles in our minds.
Where there is fear,
There is suffering,
Catastrophe.
Fear arises from the possibility of losing the object of our attachment,
And thus imbalance occurs,
Leading to hatred or love,
Hopes,
Expectations.
Vairagya is the recognition of the world's transience and the severance from attachments.
In general,
Desires breed suffering.
Attachment to hopes and dreams eventually destroys us.
Attachment will also pass,
It will become tedious.
To attach oneself is not wise because everything will pass.
The cause of suffering is people's desires.
Vairagya is the realization of the impermanence of the world and liberation from attachments.
If a desire is fulfilled,
Good,
If not,
Also good.
Whether a desire is met or not is inconsequential.
Vairagya represents the severance from ties to the material world.
Consider the life of a human as a tree that exists only for a season.
We begin as dormant seeds,
Each carrying the blueprint of life within us,
Cast into the world by the unpredictable winds of destiny.
When conditions align,
The soil of opportunity,
The water of relationships,
And the sunlight of experiences,
We awaken and begin our journey upward.
As we break through the earth's surface,
We are nourished by the light of wisdom,
Allowing us to grow and expand our reach.
Our branches,
Representing our paths in life,
Intertwine with those of others.
With some,
We form deep bonds,
Our branches growing in harmony through the cycles of weather,
Be it the gentle touch of spring rain or the fierce challenge of winter scale.
With others,
Our interaction is transient,
A brief rustle of leaves before each of us continues on our separate ways.
The love we encounter through our senses is akin to the seasonal life of a tree,
It blossoms,
Flourishes and eventually withers away.
Recognize this natural progression.
You are a seasonal tree,
Your existence marked by periods of growth and eventual decline.
The belief that our presence,
Like that of a mighty perennial,
Will endure indefinitely is a comforting illusion.
In truth,
We are part of a larger,
Ever-evolving cycle.
Tend to your growth,
Your connections and your experiences while you are a part of this world.
Take joy in the rich tapestry of life that unfolds around you,
But do so with the wisdom that all growth is temporary.
Cherish the transient splendor of connection and sensation,
All the while keeping in mind the grand continuum of existence,
Where each being rises,
Flourishes and ultimately returns to the source,
Contributing to the perpetual renewal of life.
When imbalance occurs,
We back up,
The realization that there is nothing permanent in this world.
How can we attach ourselves to something that is ever-changing,
Like waves in the ocean?
We create fantasies and suffer when they don't come true.
The only attachment that makes sense is attachment to God.
But the only attachment that makes sense is attachment to God.
Vairagya is the realization of the impermanence of the world and liberation from attachment.
If a desire is fulfilled,
Good,
If not,
Also good.
Vairagya is freedom from attachment to the material world.
Dive into the depths of your breath,
Realize each inhale and exhale.
In this state you gain tranquility and wisdom.
Let go of all your attachments,
Allow them to depart.
Remember the words of the yogi Patanjali,
Vairagya is the realization of the impermanence of the material world and liberation from attachment to it.
Continue to observe your breath until the end of the audio session.
