Now greetings Sister Fuller and I'm offering some little short bites,
Just some support for uncertain times which we are in for the unforeseen future.
We don't know so much that's not known now.
And I wanted to just name here that we are all working with disrupted rhythms.
But you know we all whether we think of ourselves as having good routines or not there's been routines in our life that we could count on.
And that's gone.
Like our routines have changed.
Right whether that's for some people that looks like no routine or if for some people if you're on the front lines that may be that you're very you're in a stronger routine maybe than you were in but it's changed it's a big change.
And there's a part of us part of our brains that actually don't like change like that.
And so I guess I just want to name it it's okay.
It's okay if you're noticing you're in resistance.
It's okay if it feels all of what it feels if it feels scary.
Some people I'm talking to were actually feeling kind of elated you know that there's this almost an excitement.
Could be that you're just noticing how you relate to change.
So I'm talking about structures right we have structures and then the structure changes.
And I thought that I would just do a little guided meditation on structure so if we can't find structure outside of us that makes sense.
Then maybe we could start with feeling the structures that don't change.
Maybe the structures in our bodies structure of the earth under our feet and the chair under us.
There's something dependable there.
Something has gone crazy in the world but there are things that haven't.
So just for this next few minutes let's rest into what is dependable.
What is the place where you can rest?
Even as I'm saying that like I'm noticing my pelvic floor just kind of relax.
Just hearing that suggestion even in my own system.
I think we don't even realize we're holding on sometimes.
The structure of our body is our skeleton.
Maybe let's just start there.
You know as well as feeling the earth under us which I already touched on but we're held up by our skeletons.
That's what you could say resists gravity or works with gravity.
The hardness of our bodies and that's structure.
There's the muscles around that hardness that bit of earth in our bodies.
Minerals that make up our bones and then the muscles that wrap around them and gives us the ability to move.
But all of that is how earth shows up in our bodies.
And just bringing the attention into noticing that that's firm,
That's solid,
That is dependable.
And just really keeping this simple.
Knowing that it really can be just this simple to come home to what is dependable and solid.
How the breath in your body moves this earth,
It moves these bones in your ribcage,
The muscles that allow the lungs to expand.
All of this is in relationship and an expression of the earth.
Let yourself rest into the earth that is holding up your skeleton and your muscles.
The earth that is utterly dependable.
This unquestioning support.
Notice if there's some part of you that resists it.
It's like not sure if it's okay to really relax into that.
It might still be a little bit on high alert.
No,
That's okay too.
And just come back to the sensations,
The pressure of the floor under you,
Your seat.
Wow.
.
As we come back into the room in a few minutes,
A few moments,
Just know that you can come back to this anytime.
It's the beauty of how dependable gravity,
The earth,
Your bones and your muscles are.
Anytime you notice that changing structures feels uncomfortable,
You can come back here.
.
Any benefit we may gain by this practice be dedicated to all beings,
All the realms and all the times.
We know that we practice not just for ourselves.
.
Whatever way works for you to come back into the room.
