This self-love meditation is a powerful practice that can ease a racing mind.

By drawing our attention to our innermost self,

We find our source of inner peace and acceptance.

Real thoughts gently diminish as we gain the peace required to move forward with grace.

If we do not allow the natural love for ourselves to be expressed,

Love does not reveal its beauty very often throughout each day of our lives.

We can miss it.

We can miss the moments.

This meditation offers you an opportunity to reconnect with that self-love so that you can experience more joy in the everyday.

So I'd like you to get into a nice and comfortable and relaxing position that could be in a chair or lying down,

Just removing any distractions for the duration of the session.

So take the very first action in self-love right now by giving yourself some peace and some comfort,

Allowing your body to be relaxed.

Your ability to breathe at will in all different kinds of ways helps you to settle into your body,

Helps you to notice your body,

Helps you to get in touch with yourself.

And our breath has been with us for our entire lives.

It changes as needed to the demand of exciting circumstances and it can flow effortlessly when we are resting.

So I invite you to take a few deep and full breaths.

Taking multiple full and deep breaths every day is proven to change our bodies and minds for the better.

It helps to activate our parasympathetic nervous system,

Which is the system needed for rest and digest,

And a great way to engage the breath in this process and to connect with the power within yourself is belly breathing.

Breathing deep into your chest and allowing your belly to expand and rise without restriction or tightness in order to get a full sense of relaxation and healing from each breath.

So I'd like you to take in five full deep breaths,

Holding it for a moment at your full inhale and then exhaling naturally.

Inhale a nice big breath,

Expanding your belly and your lungs as much as you can.

Hold it and exhale gently with relief.

You might even want to sigh.

Inhale fresh oxygen that will be supplied to your bloodstream.

Exhaling it to soak it all in and exhaling without any effort.

Inhale again,

Feeling rejuvenated and invigorated by your breath.

Hold it and then exhale easily.

Inhale noticing how breathing fully comes naturally for you,

Pausing to soak it all in and exhale any tension or worry.

These five full breaths have been an act of self-love,

Pausing to feel and experience the breath that is love.

Allowing yourself to exhale into complete relaxation,

That is an act of self-love.

So breathing naturally now,

Keeping things slow and steady.

So let your breath flow at a pace without any effort and by doing this you are proving you are capable of attending to yourself,

Of providing yourself an opportunity for self-love.

By breathing deeply and often you are commanding your body to rest.

This relaxes and rejuvenates you.

This is self-love in its simplest form that anyone can do at any time of the day.

Now let's honor this work that you have done by relaxing the mind even further.

Notice now how your thoughts are rising in your mind,

One after the other after the other.

Now see them come and see them go.

Some thoughts may linger for some time and some thoughts only come for a split second.

If you can really focus,

You will notice even smaller thoughts.

Thoughts that help you to describe the world around you or thoughts that help you to label the things in your surroundings.

Let us tap into this so that you can tap into sensing your environment and your world.

So let your hearing become super alert now and try to focus on some sounds around you.

Maybe you can hear the sound of your own breathing or maybe you can hear the sounds of nature outside.

Or perhaps you can hear cars passing by or you can hear people talking with one another.

Just go from sound to sound,

Focusing on only one at a time.

Now release the focus on the sound and just allow all the noises around you to come in equally.

So releasing any particular sound and hearing them all.

They almost act as tiny waves of relaxation calming your mind,

Interrupting the flow of thoughts,

Changing the wavelength and vibration of your mind's energy.

Excellent.

You may notice that your mind relaxes when you activate your senses on command.

Let's now use the power of your amazing visualization abilities to induce self-love.

So begin to imagine yourself full of an abundance of self-love.

This could be a pure white golden light emanating from your heart space warming you up from the inside amplifying with each breath like warm sunlight coming from the inside out.

As you breathe this light expands in your chest,

Expands across your torso.

The warmth is comfortable and soothing and you feel a slight smile coming to your lips.

You feel the warmth spread to the front of your body,

Through the middle of your body,

Through to the back of your body.

And with every breath that light enhances and it spreads throughout your entire being warming and soothing and comforting you from your chest,

Your heart space all the way to the top of your head and all the way to the bottom of your feet.

This light,

This energy,

This golden warmth emanates from your heart space and has created this orb,

This aura,

This ball,

This sphere around you,

Over your head and under your feet,

In front of your body and around your back.

A protective,

Large,

Wonderful orb or sphere or an aura of beautiful golden white light,

Warm,

Energetic,

Comforting,

Soothing.

You feel your whole body smile now,

Knowing that this light emanates from you.

It is at your command.

It appears when you want it to.

It always exists within you.

When you feel joy and happiness,

It expands.

When you smile,

When you laugh,

When you feel contentedness,

It expands.

When you allow yourself a moment of peace,

It grows.

When you allow yourself a few quiet breaths to allow healing,

To allow rest,

It feeds this energy that is always available to you.

Every time you inhale,

You inhale this golden light,

You produce it and you consume it.

The more you breathe in a restful,

Full and complete way,

The more that you charge up this light,

The more it expands,

The more intense it radiates through all the layers of your physical body,

Your skin,

Your muscles,

Your blood vessels,

Your fascia,

Your bones,

The marrow inside your bones,

Through all your soft organs.

You can feel the energy expanding within you throughout your entire being.

So let your breath flow at your own pace and allowing this rejuvenation to occur.

This space is the space that is enlivened when you choose to take care of yourself by eating healthier foods,

When you choose to take breaks and rest,

When you choose to focus on the good things in your life,

To have gratitude.

This light of self-love increases and grows stronger every time you help someone that you love.

This light grows stronger when you set boundaries on what you can and cannot do for others.

This light expands when you focus on your future and the things that you enjoy and the things that you love.

While you are in this loving space,

Knowing that you can take care of yourself,

Knowing that you can provide yourself with even small moments of peace and love by focusing on your breath,

By focusing on the light that is emanating from your heart space,

By having gratitude,

By moving your body in ways that invigorate yourselves,

By eating healthy foods,

By drinking plenty of water,

By resting when you need to rest,

By moving away from negative or self-critical thought patterns,

Ways of thinking that do not serve you.

Recognizing and engaging in these self-love activities allows us to expand the good things about ourselves and how we feel in life and it helps us to challenge any negative thoughts as they arise.

So concentrating again on this golden white light that is now this powerful energy source,

Intense and bright and strong,

Protective and soothing and warm,

Emanating from within you,

Expanding over and out from you,

A large aura,

Sphere or an orb around you.

And with every inhale,

You are breathing in this golden white light and it circulates back throughout your bloodstream and your whole system and pumps through your heart,

Expanding it further,

Intensifying its protective energy.

As you visualize yourself bathed within this self-loving energy,

Say to yourself out loud or in your mind,

When I fully love myself,

I am able to fully love others.

Deciding to love myself is a wonderful assignment.

Each day,

I allow my love for myself to grow more and more.

I am worthy of love.

I honor the joy that comes with loving myself.

Deciding to love myself unconditionally feels wonderful.

I deserve love.

I deserve respect.

I deserve dignity.

My self-esteem grows along with my self-love.

I love and accept everything about myself.

I completely and always love myself.

Today,

I love myself even more than yesterday.

Truly loving myself is easy for me.

The more I love myself,

The better my entire health is.

I love every moment of my existence.

Every part of me that makes me who I am is encompassed with love.

I have unconditional love for myself.

My self-love is abundant and overflows.

I always have time to love myself.

I always have time to care for myself.

I always have time to be kind to myself.

I know that I matter.

I know that I am worthy.

I know that I am deserving.

Take a few more deep breaths,

Feeling this beautiful white light within you,

Around you,

Smiling to yourself,

Knowing that you create and command this light and this energy.

Starting from your breath,

Moving through your senses and settling into your heart.

You can gently open your eyes,

Keeping that gentle smile on your face,

Taking a few self-loving breaths now,

And know that whenever you love yourself,

You will find love in all things.

Namaste.
