Transcript

Once you've got yourself into a comfortable position,

Somewhere you're not going to be disturbed for at least the next 10 minutes,

Gently close your eyes.

Taking a deep breath in through the nose,

Hold for the count of three before exhaling through your mouth.

And once all the air has left your body,

Hold for the count of three before breathing in once again through your nose,

Holding and then exhaling.

As you continue this cycle of breath,

Breathing in,

Holding,

Breathing out,

Pay attention to the soles of your feet and you might feel a tingling sensation as you imagine or feel roots emerging from the soles of your feet,

Burrowing down through the floor,

Further down until they reach the earth.

These roots will continue to move down into the earth,

Anchoring you deeply,

Securing you safely.

And now draw your attention to the crown of your head,

A point right at the top that links you to the rest of the universe.

And whether you're lying down or sitting with a straight spine,

Feel the link between those roots coming from the soles of your feet.

All the way up your body to the point on the crown of your head,

That point that links you to the rest of the universe.

And spend a moment here suspended from top to bottom,

Held,

Supported,

Deeply rooted.

Now draw your attention to the point between your eyebrows.

This is the point where your consciousness can leave your physical body and travel anywhere.

With your awareness between your brows,

Imagine a point of light leaving your body.

This point of light is your consciousness,

And your consciousness is connected to the entire universe.

The intention with this meditation is to show you how free and liberated your consciousness truly is.

We are used to experiencing consciousness restrained and constricted by our physical body.

But spiritual traditions across the globe have known for millennia that our consciousness can travel without limitations.

Today we're going to meet the library of resources that you have collected over your many lifetimes.

Our consciousness will travel out of the body and go to this library.

As you imagine a point of light leaving the space between your brows,

Travel with this point of light until you reach the front steps of a huge building.

Pay attention to what this building looks like.

This is your library of resources.

Within this building contains every book,

Every play,

Every poem,

Every piece of art,

Every piece of literature,

Every story,

Every experience,

Every emotion,

Every complex,

Multi-faceted,

Dynamic experience that you have ever had or been witness to in all of your multiple lifetimes.

And this library of resource is available for you to access at any time.

This library of resources is something that you can draw upon to enrich any divination practice you have,

Any tarot reading you give,

Any meditation that you experience.

You decide to enter this library of resources and take a look around.

As you go in,

Make a note of what the inside of this library looks like.

Are there books?

Perhaps there are computer screens,

Maybe both.

Maybe this library is filled with infinite rooms,

Each room being a memory,

Or a piece of art,

Or a performance.

Perhaps there are many people in this library of resources.

Perhaps the resources are relationships you have,

Conversations you've experienced,

Connections with experts in other fields.

And maybe your library of resources is a simple pile of books to demonstrate how easy it is to access the resources you need.

Ask yourself,

What is it that I need to know today?

What is a memory or a resource that I have access to that I have forgotten that is relevant to my work and life now?

Allow the library of resources to bring you the specific experience that you remember,

The particular resource that you need.

And without struggling or striving,

Without grasping and without desperation,

Open your mind to the resource revealing itself.

This resource might be a memory,

Might be a particular book,

Perhaps it is a character from a film,

Or some reference to a colour or a song.

Perhaps it is a very particular conversation that you once had.

In whatever form this resource emerges as,

Receive it with gratitude and without any desperate grasping for meaning.

Just allow it to be present and for you to take it back with you.

Much like lending a book from a library,

This library of resources allows you to take the resource you need,

Use it for your purpose and it will automatically be returned to the library of resources.

You make your way back out of the library and once again visualising your consciousness as a point of light,

Watch as it re-enters your body through the point between your brows.

And as you feel your consciousness return to your physical body,

You're once again aware of being suspended between the firm roots emerging from the soles of your feet and the thread that lifts you up into the universe through the crown of your head.

Perhaps you want to feel your fingers and toes as your consciousness returns to your physical form.

And with a few deep breaths,

When you're ready,

Return to your body and to this time and place and slowly open your eyes.

My late maternal grandmother came from Russia and her name was changed to Kate Thomas. I studied to be a library technician and libraries are some of my favourite places to be. Coincidence? I think not. Thank you for this lovely meditation. Namaste 🧡🙏
