This is the 1st of three guided mindfulness meditations that progress through a series of stages - from focus, to spaceousness, to impermanence - helping you understand how to easily induce a calm, quiet state of meditation and mindfulness. Practicing these guided meditation techniques on a regular basis will help you feel better, more relaxed, with more energy, less anxiety and more focus in your daily life. They are accessible to anyone, regardless of your age and experience.

Welcome to the art of mindfulness.

In this guided meditation,

We try to establish focus,

Mental awareness,

And we use the breath.

It's a very simple practice.

All you need to focus on is trying to feel the sensation of your breath and stay with it.

That's it.

There's nothing more to it.

So what I want you to do is to keep it this way.

Keep it simple.

Don't make it complicated.

Don't add anything to it that doesn't need to be there.

All you're doing is feeling your breath move in and out of your body.

The best thing to do is to sit upright.

This makes your mind alert.

And it also encourages the energy to move up and down your spine.

So find a seated position.

If you need to,

You can pause the recording here until you're ready.

And once you've found that seated position,

A nice upright spine,

Even though the spine is lifting,

I want you to see if you can soften.

Don't.

I assume you’d practice for years. You really ‘own’ this text, these words and pace. I find this pretty unique. 🕯
