Meditation is an act of faith.

It is a practice of engaging the mind in the present moment,

All to witness and discover what you become aware of.

In some practices the focus is on a single point,

Such as an image or object.

The practice is to quiet one's thinking and to exist in a space of pure awareness,

Presence,

Attending to each new moment.

We need meditation to show us how to create space within and from our typical busy mind,

To engage in a practice that leads us within,

To attune to the openness and quiet that exists as a deeper aspect of our being.

Meditation allows us to soften our mind,

To evoke a state of inner kindness that becomes a state of being in which to live from.

Meditation teaches the practice of knowing the self,

For it is here that we create a wondrous life out of care and ease and presence.

We can live a full and busy life in our outer world and then arrive in stillness and quiet for a time to take pause,

To witness,

To appreciate,

To hold steady the moments of infinity that exist in and of the present moment.

Typically,

We allow our thoughts to dictate how we feel and what we do,

Including our path in life.

Not all thoughts are helpful,

Loving,

Or calming.

Meditation shows us how to become calm in both our mind and body.

Through our practice,

We realize that we have the ability to go within ourselves for answers,

For knowledge,

And for wisdom.

We begin to realize there is a sense of peace and calmness that we receive from meditation that we do not experience in the same way in our daily life.

In your practice,

You gain greater understanding.

You return awareness to who you are,

To hold the space for truth,

To gain knowledge of what is right and best for you in any given moment,

To experience calmness and tranquility and the opportunity to live present.

To experience each moment as it is before you.

When you meditate and you notice that your mind has wandered away from your point of focus,

All that you need to do is bring your attention into the present.

Eventually,

You begin to train your mind to be still even for a few moments.

The experience of those few moments is peaceful,

Blissful.

When we become better at noticing the thoughts in our mind,

We realize not only how to quiet our mind,

We realize that we can choose our thoughts.

Thoughts we no longer want to hold,

We can more easily let go of because we realize we are in control of what we think.

We are able to direct the focus of the mind.

Meditation is the single most simplest way to invoke calm,

Well-being,

To experience a oneness with your body,

Mind,

And soul.

It is the simplest way to return to who you are,

To get to know yourself by simply experiencing being with yourself in meditation.

Holding the thoughts,

Recognizing your patterns of thinking,

Being uncomfortable at times to be still,

And yet doing your best to do so.

All of these teach you so much about yourself.

You will experience the cumulative effect of your meditation practice.

It is beautiful,

It is sacred,

And through meditation you open yourself to experiencing and living awakened in your life.

I hope the journey for you in meditation is a beautiful transition into a glorious new way of living life.

Thank you.

Namaste.
