In your heart lies the very basis of truth.

It is the knowledge of your completeness,

Your perfection,

As you are.

Listen not to the voice of your ego mind,

But that of soul consciousness.

Sadness is an emotion experienced as the result of our inner dwelling thoughts and our perceptions of a situation.

When you open your heart,

Sadness is overshadowed by your true nature,

Compassion,

Love,

Kindness,

And joy.

In a comfortable posture,

Sitting upright,

Back gently supported,

Or lying,

Feeling the weight of your body supported completely beneath you,

Close your eyes,

Feel your presence in your body,

Direct your attention inward.

Notice from where sadness originates within you.

Is the origin of sadness a thought?

What does sadness feel like in your body?

Bring attention to your breath with each inhalation as you draw air into your lungs,

As you feel the chest,

The ribcage expand.

Be attentive to your heart center,

Opening,

Expanding.

Every in-breath draws in more oxygen.

Every out-breath,

The body expels what it does not need.

With every in-breath,

Draw in the feelings of appreciation for something you feel thankful for.

Be compassionate toward yourself.

Feel compassion for another.

Love an aspect of yourself.

Feel love towards another.

With each exhalation,

Release sadness from where it exists within your body.

With every in-breath,

Receive kindness expressed to yourself in gentle thought,

Feeling,

Action.

Action.

What allows you to feel peaceful?

Imagine this.

Let every inhalation bring the feelings you wish to feel.

With every exhalation,

Release sadness.

You may feel the sadness but then choose to release it.

You do not have to remain in this state.

In-breath,

Lightness,

Expansion.

Out-breath,

Ease,

Release.

Feel at ease with your breath,

With your inward feelings.

Let the beautiful feelings of love,

Tranquility,

Happiness,

And peace fill your heart.

Fully open to receive these.

Every exhalation,

You release and let go of any residual sadness.

Until there is only the comfort of feeling how you choose.

Perhaps you choose to feel happy,

Peace-filled,

Love.

Feel these in your heart center.

Let your heart expand with much love,

Much goodness,

Much appreciation,

Much joy.

You may wish to anchor these new feelings.

Notice where you feel them.

Allow them to be a part of you as you continue in the rest of your day.

Let your heart remain open to receiving all of the perfect blessings of life.
