I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
Ho'oponopono is a spiritual practice originating from Hawaii.
This is a practice of cleansing,
Compassion,
Forgiveness,
And the universal awareness that we are all one and a part of one consciousness.
Ho'oponopono means to make right,
To make right with ourselves,
With others,
And with the world that we are living in.
Hawaiian tradition affirms strongly that all life is connected.
So if we wish to see change happen in the world,
Change must also happen within.
So I invite you now to be the change that you wish to see by practicing this mantra with me.
Softening the brow,
Unclenching the jaw,
And sinking into our shoulders.
Inviting you now to keep your eyes open to a soft gaze or close them,
Only if that feels right for you.
Inviting stillness into our bodies using the breath.
Taking a moment just to check in with ourselves and notice any points of tension that we're holding in our bodies.
Scanning our vessels from head to toe and using the breath to infuse love and to infuse awareness in every muscle,
Every cell,
Every joint,
Every tendon.
Signaling to our bodies that we are safe and we can rest.
Taking a moment now to notice our breath and notice how we're breathing.
With every in-breath,
We're inviting stillness and on every out-breath releasing any tension,
Any worries,
Any concerns that may have followed us up until this very moment.
And together taking a deep inhale in through the nose,
Down into our throats and into our lungs,
Expanding the belly and on the out-breath letting it all go.
Continuing this breath two more times.
Each breath drawing us inwards.
I invite you now to place your left hand over your heart,
Your right hand over your stomach,
Holding yourself here with compassion,
With love and with forgiveness.
And as you hold yourself here envisioning you being hugged,
Being embraced,
Being cherished by you.
Noticing what it feels like when we open up ourselves to ourselves and hold ourselves here without judgment but in full acceptance of who we are and who we've been up until this very moment.
And as you continue to hold yourself repeating this mantra after me,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
And again,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
Continuing to repeat this mantra to ourselves,
Knowing that it doesn't matter how many times we say this but how these words make us feel,
How they penetrate our soul,
Our spirits,
Our minds,
Our bodies.
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
Noticing what emotions arise,
Where you feel these words in your body and remembering to breathe,
Not compromising our breath but allowing it to flow through,
In and out of our bodies.
Honoring whatever feelings arise,
Whatever memories begin to show up and using the breath,
Each inhale and each exhale to bring us comfort and to bring us peace.
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
And together,
Taking a deep inhale in through the nose and letting it all go through the mouth.
Remembering to breathe and remembering to be.
If it feels right for you,
I invite you in this moment to invite a smile onto your face.
Continuing to recite those words,
This prayer,
This mantra over your life,
Over your loved ones and over the world.
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you.
And again,
Taking a deep inhale in through the nose and letting it all go through the mouth.
As this practice comes to an end,
We become present back into our bodies,
Back to our breath.
Noticing any sensations,
Any feelings.
Noticing an awakening back into our reality that hasn't changed.
You are still you.
But with more compassion,
More insight and more awareness.
Inviting movement back into our hands and into our toes.
Taking a stretch.
And whenever it feels right for you,
Slowly and gently opening your eyes and thanking yourself for being in practice.
