This practice is for whenever you are feeling anxious. Without pushing your feelings away (if only that worked!), it shows you how to shift out of the reaction, come back into your body and feel safe in the present moment once again.

My name is Domini Drew with the Art of Attraction and Inner Evolution and this is a meditation for anxiety.

Let's begin.

Start by noticing the anxiety.

Before you do anything,

Before you follow any instruction or try and make your breath do something it's not doing now,

Just let yourself allow what's happening to happen.

If in any part of your body you're still pushing against it,

You're still resisting it in some way,

Allow that part to soften.

It's okay that you're feeling anxiety.

It's just a feeling.

It can't actually hurt you.

Notice as you soften and invite the feeling to be here how your breath starts to slow very slightly.

How you begin to feel a little bit safer.

Maybe your muscles are starting to consider letting go of their tension.

Consider relaxing.

Now bring your awareness to your breath.

Notice how far down your body your breath comes on its own right now.

Notice if any judgment came up when you saw the depth of your breath in this moment.

If so,

I invite you to just let those judgments go.

This is just about being here in the moment.

Invite your breath to come in more deeply now.

Slow,

Deep breaths.

Slow,

Deep breaths.

Allow yourself to inhale deeply.

Hold at the top and release and hold at the bottom.

Begin as you do this to realize that you can start to watch the anxiety happening inside of you.

Now instead of using a statement to describe this like I am anxious,

What feels more true is something like I'm just feeling some anxiety right now.

Allow yourself to feel the anxiety.

As you do this,

Bring special attention to anything that you are worried about that may exist in the future and thus not exist at all yet.

Notice if you might be creating worry,

Negativity,

Negative scenarios,

Fear,

Frustration,

Worry over something which has not yet occurred.

Consider that we do not know the future and that the situation that you're fearing is only one possible scenario of many.

Take a deep breath,

Bringing the air,

The oxygen deep in your nose into the lungs,

Filling you completely and relax on the exhale.

Good.

As your breathing begins to slow and to deepen and as you begin to let go of things that are not in the here and now,

Notice yourself becoming more focused,

More calm,

More grounded.

Bring your awareness now to your legs.

Notice perhaps they may have felt the desire to run.

There may be tension there as if poised for flight.

Let this be here.

Don't force them to relax.

This is just about sitting with what is,

But sitting clearly in our power in what is,

Not being a victim of the moment.

As your breath slows even more,

You can feel your legs start to calm,

Checking in with your knees,

Your calves and your feet,

Feeling the floor support them,

Letting them sink into whatever they are resting on.

It is safe to be here now.

The anxiety is fear,

Fear and worry for something which has not yet happened.

See now how you can totally release this and be here in the moment with what is,

Without anxiety.

From this place,

You can safely and confidently in an empowered manner make the decisions you need to make to address any situation coming up in the future without the fear.

Breathe in as you focus on your feet.

I am here.

I am safe.

I am present.

Feel your self-worth.

Feel your competence.

Only in the here and now can anything exist.

In the future,

When your anxiety comes up,

Check in with the thing that brings you worry,

And if it has already happened or it hasn't happened yet,

Let go of it.

Know that you are enough in the here and now and there is nothing you need to fear.

Now standing powerfully in your body,

Present,

Open,

Calm,

Greet yourself,

Give yourself a hug,

Connect deeply.

This is the real you and this you can handle anything.

Thank you for joining me.
