Welcome to this guided meditation on surrendering.
We are going to work on changing our initial thoughts.
Everything starts with a thought.
We must practice the pause after we notice the thought,
Before we take an action that might harm us.
A thought is just a frequency.
It's energy.
We feel it and we have a choice.
We can continue on that frequency and act out on a negative behavior,
Or we can choose a better path.
We can change our thought.
We can change the vibration that we are sitting on,
And we can choose wisely and not harm ourselves or others.
Surrendering is not giving up.
Surrendering is just a path to acceptance,
And acceptance is the key to happiness.
I'd like you to try to surrender to life on life's terms.
No matter what this means to you,
It is important that you know that you can do this.
It may take some practice,
But we must start somewhere.
As you close your eyes and relax your body,
Relax your shoulders and feel the sensations of your body.
Feel any tenseness melt away and surrender to this moment.
This simply means to be here now,
To not think about future worries,
To not think about past mistakes,
But just be here in this moment.
All we ever have is the now.
By accepting this,
We live on a higher vibration of energy.
We live with open possibility and endless opportunity.
When we quiet our minds,
We listen to our soul.
We listen to stillness.
We become open-minded.
And willing to change our bad habits.
You may notice your mind wandering off to a negative thought,
Or you may feel your heart feeling a negative emotion.
We can work with these emotions and thoughts.
And then we can change our mind.
We can practice positive thinking.
If your mind wanders,
To a negative thought about yourself,
Notice this and be the consciousness above that thought.
Be the observer of that thought.
And change your mind.
Know that negativity is only toxic and never helpful for your own good.
If you want to feel better,
Which we all do,
We must learn that we can have control over the thoughts.
We may receive negative thoughts by habit,
But once we notice them,
We can change them.
Instead of telling yourself that your life is unfair right now,
Or that you regret what you did yesterday,
Or that you're worried about the future,
Or that you regret what you did yesterday,
Or that you're worried about the problem tomorrow is going to bring,
Switch this thought and tell yourself that everything is going to be okay.
Find evidence in your life where this has been true and carry on with this.
You have survived everything up until now,
And you will survive what comes next.
You're strong and resilient,
And you can be happy and free.
You can be free from this negativity if you don't entertain it.
You can be positive and optimistic about the future by just knowing that you'll be okay,
And not worrying about the details or any outcomes not matching exactly what you want.
In this moment,
You are free.
You are free to choose joy,
Laughter,
Positive memories,
Good people in your life.
You have the freedom of choice.
You have willpower.
Use it to feel better.
Use it to love yourself more.
As another negative thought may enter your mind,
Change it as quickly as you can.
Do this now.
Practice this now.
Breathe into the negative thought and breathe it out.
Make your next thought be a positive one.
That you are intelligent,
That you are brave,
That you are smart,
That you are beautiful,
That you are a precious spiritual being.
And just because you're having a human experience,
With human emotions and ego-driven thoughts,
Does not mean that you're doomed,
That you're bad,
Or that you have to be sad and live in that depression.
You are allowed to rise up.
Feel yourself rising up.
Give yourself permission to feel good.
Give yourself permission to enjoy each moment as it comes.
To allow each moment,
Even if it isn't what you want,
To be as it is and to learn something from each experience.
Another way of practicing changing your thoughts is by having a mantra.
You may choose any mantra.
That you like,
As long as it's a positive one.
It can be as simple as,
I can handle this,
Or I am present,
Or here I am,
Or I am alive and free.
It can be,
God is with me.
It can be,
I am safe.
It can be,
Love,
Love,
Love.
It can be,
Love,
Love,
Love.
Choose love.
Practice training your mind to remember this mantra whenever you come across a negative emotion or thought.
Practice it now.
As soon as a negative thought enters your mind,
Tell yourself,
It's okay,
I can handle this.
God is here.
I am safe.
Or I am choosing love.
Whatever mantra sticks with you is perfectly okay.
Give yourself the safe place to rest.
Rest in the moment and the energy of your mantra.
Breathe deeply into this mantra.
Breathe out with faith that this is working for you.
This safe place to pause creates layers in our minds.
If we can remember to do this on a daily basis,
We can start building a deeper consciousness.
We can start becoming more and more aware of our triggers and how to change them.
You must remember that you are worth it.
You are worthy of changing these negative feelings.
You are worthy of being free.
You are worthy of love.
You are worthy of self-love.
Whatever it is that is blocking you,
Clear it away.
It doesn't serve you.
Feel the freedom from these blockages.
Feel in your body what it would be like to be free,
Happy,
Joyous,
And free.
Feel your spirit in your body lifting up.
And feel your heart become a little lighter and more joyous.
And recognize a smile upon your face.
You are worthy.
You are beautiful inside and out.
And no one should change this about you.
No one can change this about you.
Don't let your own negative self-talk stop you from achieving all of your dreams and being the person that you are meant to be.
Don't buy in to the negativity.
Tell yourself now you don't have time for that.
We're going to rise up above that.
And we're going to be set free.
And we're going to be free.
And we're going to be set free.
As you breathe in deeply again,
Remember to practice these techniques throughout your day.
Remember that you're worth it.
Keep telling yourself this,
Even if you don't believe it yet.
You can do this.
You are strong.
Love yourself enough to do this.
Be grateful for this opportunity to change,
To grow,
And to free yourself.
Notice the room that you're in again.
Feel the sensations of your body coming back to reality.
And whenever you are ready,
You can open your eyes.
