Welcome.

My name is Laura Garrison-Brooke.

Thank you so much for joining me for this meditation.

I'm glad you're here.

This meditation will help you strengthen your immune system.

It will also help you feel more calm,

Connected to others,

And grounded.

We have a lot of stuff swirling around in the world these days,

And that might be causing you to feel unsettled.

This meditation is going to help you with this.

First,

A bit of background information so you can soak up this meditation to get the very most value out of it.

You might know that cortisol is a stress hormone,

And when we're constantly on high alert,

We mobilize an enormous amount of the body's energy to be ready to deal with these threats.

Being flooded with cortisol causes our immune system to lower.

Here's why.

As cortisol levels go up,

A chemical called immunoglobulin A goes down.

This isn't good because IGA is responsible for the healthy function of our body's immune system.

IGA specifically focuses on protecting the gut and respiratory systems.

So I've seen a video of these IGA guys in action.

They're super cute,

Blobby little things rolling around,

Sucking up viruses and bacteria.

You can think of them as your own internal army of Roomba vacuum cleaners.

24 hours a day,

7 days a week,

Working on your behalf.

Here's something super cool.

In 2015,

Dr.

Joe Dispenza wanted to track the impact of meditation on cortisol and IGA.

In one of his workshops,

He had 117 people meditate for 10 minutes,

Three times a day.

They focused on positive emotions such as love,

Joy,

Or gratitude.

At the end of the three and a half day workshop,

They found that on average their cortisol levels dropped around 16%.

Here's what's even more amazing.

IGA levels went up around 50%.

50%.

In the words of Dr.

Joe Dispenza,

IGA is better than any flu shot or immune system booster you could possibly take,

And it's totally natural.

So you are brilliant to be spending this time.

This study proves the power of the mind-body connection.

As you probably know,

This power works both ways.

When you focus on how your body is getting older,

How it's starting to ache,

How there's a lot of illness in the world that you're vulnerable to,

Your body obeys and feels older,

Feels achy,

And you're more likely to get sick.

That's the mind-body connection at work.

Let's not follow that path.

Let's be inspired by Dr.

Dispenza's proof that with meditation we can boost our immune system.

Let's use the power of our minds to keep ourselves healthy and well.

You have the potential to do this,

And I'm happy to help you make this happen.

One other thing,

Let's not get stressed about getting stressed.

It's normal during this time of uncertainty to feel pretty anxious.

Give yourself permission to be human.

When anxiety rises up with mindful gentleness,

Notice these feelings and then invite yourself to breathe through them.

To shift your mindset in the moment,

You might want to do a loving-kindness meta-affirmation when you notice this anxiety.

Say to yourself,

May I be happy,

May I be healthy,

May I be safe,

May I be peaceful and at ease.

This meditation has been coupled with binaural beat technology so that these positive affirmations will be planted in your subconscious mind.

So even when you have moments of anxiety,

This positivity will still be playing in the background,

Working on your behalf.

To leverage the full strength of this,

I invite you to listen to this every day until life settles down again.

Everything in life is energy.

Albert Einstein said this,

And the most powerful energy there is,

Is our human consciousness.

The most powerful energy there is,

Is our imagination.

Feel your seat grounded and steady.

Your back is straight.

The crown of the head shines up toward the sky.

One of the central parts of this meditation is something I've created,

Which I call the Universe of Abundance Breath.

Let's get started.

Take a nice big belly breath.

As you exhale,

Feel yourself root down.

Inhaling,

Feel the spine grow long.

I invite you to draw attention to your spine.

As you inhale,

Feel energy flowing up along the central channel of the spine.

Crown of the head shines up.

Exhaling,

Energy flows down,

Pouring down the tailbone into the earth.

I invite you to see this energy as light.

Inhaling,

The energy goes up the spine and shines out of the top of the head.

You are a column of light that stretches far up into the sky.

Exhaling,

This light shines down into the crown of the head,

Along the spine and into the earth.

Find your own comfortable rhythm of breath.

Inhaling,

See the pulse of energy flowing up and out of the top of the head.

A shining cord of light reaching up into the heavens.

Exhaling,

The energy flows down from the sky,

Entering the top of the head,

Filling up the body with light.

Everything in life is energy.

Feel this energy fill you.

As you inhale,

Think,

I connect to the universe.

As you exhale,

Think,

I receive abundant energy from the universe.

As you inhale,

You think,

I connect and the light shines up out of the top of the head.

Beautiful,

Radiant light as if you're reaching up with your energy,

Reaching out to connect to the universe.

As you exhale,

You think,

I receive and the light shines down onto you,

Bathing you in healing radiance.

Feel into your body.

Feel how you are present,

Grounded and relaxed.

Let's begin our affirmations.

Allow these statements to wash over you.

Know that each affirmation is a beautiful seed,

Bursting with life and potential.

Allow it to be gently planted in your subconscious.

With time and nurturing,

It will take root.

Let's begin our affirmations now.

I am replenishing my internal source so that every cell in my body heals itself,

Returning to perfect health.

I am sending love to every cell,

Every inch,

Every part of myself.

I am sending gratitude to this body which has served me year after year.

I'm feeling radiant light,

Radiant energy fill me up,

Soaking into every cell to boost healing and vitality.

This radiant light flows through my immune system so that I stay healthy and well.

I am overflowing with vitality,

Energy and good health.

I am nourishing my body with positive thoughts and gratitude.

I am choosing to love and respect this body,

Which is my constant companion.

I'm making good choices that support my health and well-being.

My internal voice guides me so no matter who I am with or what I am doing,

I find it so easy to make good decisions.

I am filled with radiant health.

My immune system is healthy,

Vibrant and strong.

I invite you to ground down into this reality.

See yourself living in this healthy,

Vibrant,

Strong body.

Connect again with your universe of abundance breath.

See yourself shining light up to the sky on the inhale.

I connect to the universe and then the light shines down upon you on the exhale.

I receive healing energy from the universe.

Know that this healing light is strengthening,

Charging and increasing your amazing IGA cleaning crew.

It's as if they're solar powered and these meditations,

Your focus and this light have boosted their energy and their vitality.

Imagine looking into this beautiful body of yours.

See your whole immune system alive and well.

All of these incredible IGA defenders gliding peacefully and with great focus to keep you strong and healthy.

Breathe into this reality knowing that your body is well defended and strong.

From this grounded place of strength,

Let's end with some meta affirmations.

Say to yourself,

May I be happy.

May I be healthy.

May I be safe.

May I be peaceful and at ease.

Now expand your consciousness,

Bringing to mind loved ones and friends who you want to send special energy to.

Thinking of them,

Say,

May you be happy.

In the final round,

Let's extend our healing energy out to the world.

Thank you for this. You have a beautiful, meditative voice. Yesterday, I was feeling under the weather and felt frightened wondering if I had COVID or its variant. I suddenly remembered this meditation and how often I listened to this in the early days of the pandemic. I’m back listening to it again. These affirmations and visualizations are so powerful. I am feeling better. It was most likely fatigue but the fear was real. I’m glad I’ve rediscovered this meditation.

Just what I needed and very much appreciated. I’ve been ‘managing’ a painful autoimmune flare up since my eldest daughter was very ill with Covid last March. I also had two serious falls over the course of the first lockdown in the UK, living in virtual solitary confinement. ‘Incurable’, said the consultant about the autoimmune condition; ‘try to eliminate stress and anxiety.’ I did smile at that. Meditation and mindfulness allow me to stay balanced. I practice gentle acceptance, while welcoming healing and transformation. I intend to work with this meditation daily. 🙏🏻💞
