Hello and welcome to today's meditation.
My name is Diane.
Today we will explore your Dharma.
But before we start,
Let us not approach Dharma the way our society does,
As it was another goal we must achieve.
So please,
Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
Close your eyes.
Dharma means cosmic order.
It is the nature of reality.
It is the nature of your reality within the reality of your life and the world.
Dharma is the universal truth about all beings and today especially about you.
Your Dharma is the order of your life and the nature of your being and the path that you choose.
It is not just your purpose.
It is the reason why you are here.
Because if you weren't needed,
You would not be here.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
If this theme brings confusion,
Connect with the confusion.
Acknowledge it.
When Siddhartha Gautama,
Before he became the Buddha,
Faced Mara during his meditation to enlightenment,
Mara's last and most powerful weapon was doubt.
Mara means illusion.
And though doubts are normal,
They are fabricated by the part of us that has believed for too long that we are not worthy or not good enough.
It is the belief that we are not up for the cosmic pain that was entrusted in us.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
So look at Mara straight in the eyes and let the light from your solar plexus,
The center of your being,
Open wide and blind him with one certainty.
Your Dharma.
Your truth.
Your path.
Your purpose.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
In order to connect with your Dharma,
You will have to ask yourself a few,
Maybe not so simple,
Questions.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
Relax your forehead,
Your jaw,
Your shoulders.
Continue to let your light shine bright.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
Let's begin.
First,
Ask yourself,
Who am I?
You may not know the answer to this question yet,
But this question begins a deep internal dialogue between you and the universe.
It opens the door for you to begin to hear answers,
Answers that come from within.
You may not know the answer to this question yet,
But this question begins a deep internal dialogue between you and the universe.
It opens the door for you to begin to hear answers,
Answers that come from within.
Now,
Ask yourself,
What do I want?
Sometimes the answers will be material and sometimes they may be more spiritual,
Physical or emotional.
Try not to judge whatever answer comes and simply allow yourself to listen.
Have no opinion,
Just listen.
Now,
Ask yourself,
What do I want?
Now,
Ask yourself,
What is my dharma?
What is my purpose?
If nothing comes up immediately,
You can also ask yourself,
What are my unique talents?
Or how can I help?
How can I serve myself and others using that unique talent?
You can also ask,
What is it that I am passionate about?
What makes me come alive?
What is it that I am passionate about?
And finally,
Ask yourself,
What am I grateful for?
What am I grateful for?
Thinking this question every day will help you stay grounded,
Which will allow you to cultivate a deeper understanding of your dharma,
A deeper understanding of your opportunities,
And most importantly,
It will help you catch yourself when you are going off path.
Have all of these points of worship given to your mind.
All right.
Take a deep breath in.
And exhale.
And again,
Deep breath in.
And exhale.
Let go all the answers.
And allow the universe to sort through them.
Remember that you are the answer to the world's needs.
You alone have the answers.
When we finish this meditation,
We will chant.
We will chant Om Mani Padme Hom.
It means the pure being on the path to wisdom and individuality.
Om Mani Padme Hom.
Take a deep breath in.
Om Mani Padme Hom.
One more time.
Deep breath in.
Om Mani Padme Hom.
Wiggle your toes and your fingers.
Gently open up your eyes.
And look around you.
You belong.
You are needed.
So go on.
Follow your Dharma.
Namaste.
