Truth cannot be told. That is also certain. It is the second defect out of 8, just as Ashtavakra has 8 defects in his body. In this meditation session, we meditate upon knowing, which is beyond knowledge. Listen and meditate along, Dhyanse.

Namaste and a very warm welcome to all of you in this live meditation session with me Dehansi.

We are meditating on Ashtavakra Gita,

The path of truth.

Buddha,

Lao Tzu,

Bodhidharma,

Jesus,

Satyananda,

Sattananda,

Sivananda,

Krishnamurthy,

Osho,

Sadguru,

Eckhart Tolle So many masters,

Those who have been in the past and those who are right now teaching their spiritual teachings to the world.

What are they trying to say?

All these masters,

All these teachers,

All these spiritualists,

Over hundreds of years,

Over thousands of years,

Time and time,

What are they trying to tell the humanity?

Take a moment to contemplate over what is their single message.

So many sources,

So many teachers,

So many teachings,

Different expressions of telling you that one thing.

What is that one thing?

They are all trying to tell you the truth.

And all of them have failed in their life.

Without exception,

Every Buddha,

Every Krishna,

Every Jesus,

Every Bodhidharma,

Every Lao Tzu,

Every Sadguru,

Every Eckhart Tolle,

Everybody has failed to tell you the truth.

Because truth can never be told.

This is the nature of the truth.

That no matter how much you try,

Truth cannot be told.

This is one of the deformations,

One of the defects of truth.

In the last session,

We started discussing one of the eight defects of truth.

Just the way Ashtavakra,

The knower,

The jnani,

Ashtavakra,

The saint,

He has eight bends in his body.

He is deformed from eight places.

Truth is also deformed from eight places.

And this is the second place,

This is the second deformation of the truth.

The truth can never be told.

And the irony is,

Everyone knows that.

Every master knows that the truth can never be told.

But they go on telling.

They go on speaking.

It is also inevitable in the nature of the truth.

Those who have it have to share it with others.

They just cannot contain it to themselves.

Their life would have been much easier.

A life of a Buddha,

Imagine a king,

And then such a spiritualist,

A point came in his life where he reached to the highest of what is possible for a human and every other person who is enlightened from every tradition,

From every religion,

From every corner of this world.

Imagine what they had all achieved.

They could have just kept silent and lived their life much easier.

Why did they speak?

This inevitability of trying to share the truth,

Wanting to share the truth in different words,

In different expressions,

Over years,

Over years,

Over years,

But unable to share it.

This attempt.

It is one of the hardest jobs in the whole world to be that spiritual teacher,

To be that spiritual master,

Trying to share the truth over and over again and again and again.

One of the hardest jobs in the world.

Mooli,

He was looking for a job desperately.

He found a job in the circus.

So he went to the circus.

The manager over said,

Look,

One out of our ten lions,

They have died.

He has died.

And I have here nine lions.

This one space,

One job of one lion is free.

We don't have time now to go to the jungle and find another lion and train that lion.

The circus is due.

It is a very dangerous job,

But it is open.

If you would like,

I can give you a lot of money and you can take this job.

All you have to do is get into this tiger's skin and be with all other lions in this cage in front of the entire audience.

So Mooli,

He had no other choice.

He accepted that job,

Even if it was one of the most dangerous jobs to be with nine other lions in a cage.

He was ready.

The evening came.

All the audience was waiting.

The cage was set and all other nine lions were released in that cage and Mooli from the back door in the skin of the lion.

He was also released in that cage.

All the lions were roaring,

Listening to that roar.

Mooli suddenly forgot everything.

He was so scared.

He started screaming.

He started shouting,

Help me,

Help me,

Help me.

Listening to this,

All the audience,

They were also surprised.

A lion speaking in English,

Crying for help,

Screaming for help.

What has happened?

In this moment,

Suddenly one of the lions,

He roared loudly and he ran after Mooli.

He came so close to Mooli.

Mooli was completely freaked out.

He thought today,

Now it's all over for me.

This lion came so close to Mooli,

Grabbed Mooli by his claws and went up to his ears and said,

You idiot,

We both are going to lose our job.

What are you doing?

It is one of the most difficult jobs,

One of the most dangerous,

One of the most toughest jobs to try to speak the truth,

To try to bring the truth out in the world.

But every spiritual master tries that.

Why?

Because truth has to be told.

And in this attempt,

In this attempt of sharing,

Of trying to share the truth,

What happens is there is a synchronicity that is established between the disciple and the master.

In that synchronicity,

The light of the master is transferred,

Is shifting to the light of all the disciples.

That is the only way.

And in this whole talking,

This whole scriptures,

All the books,

All the discourses that you have seen over hundreds of years,

These are just excuses to create that situation where there is a synchronicity possible between a disciple and a master.

We are going through Ashtavakra Gita,

That is also a dialogue between a disciple Janaka and the master Ashtavakra.

How did this synchronicity happen between Janaka and Ashtavakra was happening in the court of Janaka,

Where Janaka had organized a debate and Ashtavakra had defeated every wise man in the court of Janaka and proved to Janaka that he is the wisest of all.

And Janaka,

When he saw such a young boy,

He had defeated every person,

Every wise man in his court.

Janaka immediately put his guards down.

He fell into synchronicity with Ashtavakra.

He took Ashtavakra as his master and started asking questions,

The most relevant questions of life.

Let us begin with this dialogue.

Let us see what Janaka is asking and what Ashtavakra is answering.

Contemplate on this.

See what we can learn in our own life and meditate in the next minutes on it.

Janaka asks,

How is knowledge to be acquired?

How is liberation to be attained?

And how is detachment to be reached?

Tell me this,

My master.

Janaka is saying,

How is knowledge to be acquired?

How is liberation to be attained?

How is detachment to be reached?

Tell me this.

Few nuances that we must pay attention to before we get into the question itself.

In the last session,

We discussed the state of Ashtavakra,

The state of the mind in which Ashtavakra is as he enters the court,

As he is ready to always speak the truth,

As he is the man of the truth.

Janaka is the king.

He has seen all.

He has had all pleasures,

All possessions,

All achievements possible.

He had reached to whatever material could give to the king.

Just think of the kings of today,

The Jeff Bissos of today,

The Warren Buffetts of today,

The Ambani's of today,

These people,

The kings of today who have everything,

They,

If they come to a point in life when they see everything that they have achieved,

Everything that they have attained is not enough,

Is something that does not fulfill the very fundamental question of their existence.

If the kings of today could ever come to the same state as Janaka,

Then there is a possibility of something that is good for everyone in this world today.

But back to Janaka at that time as well,

When he was a true king who had defeated everyone,

Who had the kingdom,

Who had the wealth,

Who had all possible pleasures in life,

When he comes across the truth,

When he comes across someone embodying the truth,

He immediately is realizing that there are fundamental questions to be answered.

And he immediately is putting everything aside,

Putting Ashtavakra on his throne and asking these questions.

He is saying,

How is the knowledge to be acquired?

How is liberation to be attained?

And how is detachment to be reached?

Another nuance in the language of the king,

Everything is acquired,

To be attained,

To be reached,

Everything is an effort,

Everything is to be attained.

This is something which the king has to learn that in this realm of the truth,

Nothing can be achieved,

Nothing can be attained,

Nothing can be reached,

All that can be attained cannot lead to truth.

All that can be reached cannot lead to truth.

And any possible effort cannot lead to truth.

But Janaka,

He is unaware,

So he asks this question,

How is knowledge to be acquired,

How is liberation to be attained,

How is detachment to be reached?

The first question,

How is knowledge to be acquired?

What is this knowledge?

What is this knowledge that Janaka is seeking,

Who has already been trained in every skill?

He is a king who all throughout his life has been trained in every possible skill.

Every knowledge is at his command,

At his wish.

What is that knowledge?

Are you asking this question in your life as well?

Is also important to reflect.

Unless you ask yourself this question,

How is this knowledge to be attained?

Or how do I reach to this knowledge?

How do I get this knowledge?

Unless you ask this question,

This opening into truth never happens to you.

This movement into the spiritual realm never happens to you.

Ask yourself,

Reflect what question are you asking yourself?

Are you asking yourself this question that how is this knowledge,

This spiritual knowledge,

How is this wisdom to be attained?

Are you there in your life where this becomes a question,

This becomes a search,

This becomes a quest in your life?

Unless this becomes something serious,

Something more in your life,

Unless this is something always in front of you,

This fundamental question,

How is this knowledge to be attained?

Chances are you will be still dabbling with things here and there,

Trying to take some little tools for your relaxation,

For your serving your little purpose.

But this science of meditation,

This realm of truth,

This is to answer the fundamental questions.

How is knowledge to be attained?

In this session,

For the next minutes as we sit in silence,

Try to bring your attention,

Your awareness to this contemplation,

To this question,

To this knowledge that is beyond all knowledge.

Knowledge that is not there in the books,

Knowledge that is not there in any kind of sciences that are available to you,

Any kind of training that are available to you,

Any kind of religion that is available to you,

What is that knowledge that is beyond and above all?

Put yourself in that contemplation,

Put yourself in these moments of meditation,

In these moments of silence,

Your attention and awareness towards that knowledge.

Once you start to have that search within you,

Once all your energies are pointing to that search to that knowledge in you,

The door opens,

The truth happens in this very moment.

Not somewhere else,

Not in any other moment,

Not in any other form,

Not in any other scriptures or books or through any other person,

Truth happens within you in this moment.

The moment you ask this question,

Put all your energy to this question,

What is that knowledge beyond all other knowledge,

Beyond the embodiment of knowledge as we know it.

Let us take these next moments to sit in silence and meditate by bringing our awareness to this knowledge beyond all.

Please close your eyes and take a posture that is comfortable for your body.

Allowing your body to be at rest,

Yet alert.

Allowing your breath to flow naturally.

And we are ready.

And for a moment,

Contemplate on all what you know as knowledge,

All what you have learned as knowledge.

One has to look inside theiz a small,

Small process is possible after him becomes addressable.

And go beyond all what you know.

For these few moments put aside all what you know.

All knowledge about yourself,

About the world.

Put it aside.

Go beyond all knowledge.

Go beyond all knowledge.

Go beyond all knowledge.

All your energy pointing towards that which is beyond all knowledge.

Beyond all what you know about yourself and about the world.

Go beyond all knowledge.

Go beyond all knowledge.

Your awareness,

Your energies in above and beyond knowledge.

Go beyond all knowledge.

Go beyond all knowledge.

Go beyond all knowledge.

Your awareness,

Your energies unconcerned with any form of knowledge.

Go beyond all knowledge.

Go beyond all knowledge.

In a state free of all knowledge.

Let rest in silence.

You are not alone.

Now in this awareness to expand in these moments of silence.

You are not alone.

You are not alone.

Beyond knowledge.

You are not alone.

In this silent awareness is the ultimate knowledge.

Knowledge that is undefined.

Knowledge that cannot be said.

The truth.

Very gently and slowly.

You may open your eyes.

You may bring up your awareness to sustain this awareness.

Free of knowledge.

At a distance from knowledge.

And as you move into your day.

As you move back in knowledge.

Always witnessing everything that is happening away at a distance from knowledge participating but still at a distance from knowledge.

Thank you very much.

Namaste.
