Cultivating kindness within,
Let's begin by sitting in a comfortable position.
Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Imagine yourself in a peaceful place,
Perhaps a tranquil forest,
A calming beach or a serene mountain.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Bring your attention to the present moment.
Notice any thoughts or feelings that arise,
Without judgment.
Simply observe them and let them pass.
Now bring to mind an image of yourself.
See yourself as you are,
Bringing to mind what you perceive as your flaws and imperfections.
Allow yourself to be present with these imperfections,
Without judgment.
Begin to see and accept the flaws as the keys for you to evolve.
Imagine a warm light surrounding you,
Wrapping you in a loving embrace.
Take a moment to offer yourself some compassion and kindness.
You are doing the best you can and that is enough.
You are enough.
Imagine wrapping yourself in a cozy blanket and give yourself a gentle hug.
Breathe.
Now bring your attention to your body.
Notice any areas of tension or discomfort and breathe into them with compassion.
Imagine a warm soothing light flowing through your body,
Melting away any stress,
Tension or tightness.
Allow yourself to love your body as it is,
Without wishing it were different.
Imagine your body as a beautiful work of art,
With each curve and contour perfectly crafted just for you.
If any negative thoughts arise,
Offer yourself compassion and remind yourself that your body is doing its best to serve you.
Begin to see and accept the body as a vessel for you to create your life.
Imagine any negative thoughts melting away like snow in the sun.
And now bring to mind a mistake,
A regret from your past.
Notice how you feel about this regret.
Small,
Vulnerable,
Wounded,
Ashamed or angry.
Let it go.
Breathe acceptance into it and breathe the feeling out through the mouth.
Simply find the lesson or a way to grow from this experience.
Offer yourself compassion and kindness.
Imagine holding yourself and telling your younger self that you are safe,
Loved and valued.
We all make mistakes and mistakes are an opportunity for growth and learning.
Imagine yourself taking the lesson from this experience and using it to help you grow into a better version of yourself.
Finally bring to mind a flaw or aspect of yourself that you struggle with.
Offer yourself compassion and understanding rather than judgment or criticism.
Imagine yourself standing in front of a mirror,
Looking deeply into your own eyes and telling yourself that you are loved and worthy.
Allow yourself to see this flaw as part of your unique and beautiful self and to offer yourself kindness and love.
Imagine a shower of golden light washing over you,
Filling you with love and acceptance.
Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Open your eyes and come back to the present moment.
Be gentle with yourself and know that you are worthy of love and kindness just as you are.
