Breathe into the present moment.

Now we will breathe ourselves into the present moment.

Come into an easy seated position and let your hands rest in your lap.

Close your eyes.

Take a deep inhale through the nose,

Filling your lungs with air.

Hold the breath for a moment and then slowly exhale through the mouth,

Letting out all the air.

As you fall into relaxation,

Bring the lips together to close the mouth and take your awareness to the breath moving through the nose.

Take a few deep breaths,

Inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly through your nose.

Notice the sensation of the air moving in and out of your nostrils.

Notice how deeply the breath flows through the body.

Now bring your attention to the sensation of the breath moving through your body.

Notice how it expands your chest and belly on the inhale and how it softens and relaxes and relaxes your body in the exhale.

Feel the cool air as you inhale and the warm air as you exhale.

As you continue to breathe,

Imagine that with each inhale you are inviting peace,

Calm and relaxation into the body.

And with each exhale you are releasing all tension,

Stress and negativity.

Notice any thoughts or worries that arise.

Be a witness by simply observing them and let them go with your next exhale.

This is your time to simply be.

To focus on the present moment,

Which is the breath.

Allow everything else to dissolve away with every breath,

Feeling each breath moving with you from one moment to the next.

Take one more deep inhale and then slowly exhale.

Gently open your eyes and take a moment just to notice how you feel.

May you carry this calm and centeredness with you throughout your day.
