Welcome to a meditation for releasing and letting go.
Find a comfortable position.
Maybe you're seated with a straight spine or reclined on a comfortable surface.
What's important is that you feel relaxed and alert.
Just begin to breathe.
Your breath brings you inward with its inhale and its exhale.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Let it go.
Find calm and ease in the simple rhythm of your breath.
Let it soothe you.
Let it slow you down.
Let it help you to release what no longer serves you.
Let it bring you here,
To this breath,
To this moment.
You may have heard it lately,
This voice in your head.
I should be doing more,
It says.
I'm not doing enough.
You might be able to ignore it for a while,
But the voice always returns.
I should be doing this.
I should be doing that.
The chatter gets louder when we compare ourselves to others or when we expect ourselves to be perfect.
But if you listen carefully,
You'll hear something beyond all the noise.
It's your inner voice,
And your inner voice knows the true you.
So take a deep breath in.
Let it go.
And allow these words to breathe new life into your body and mind.
You're doing the very best you can.
If you could do better,
You would.
Rest in the knowledge that you are doing a great job.
You're getting up every morning.
You're putting one foot in front of the other.
You are enough.
Your best is more than enough right now.
At some point in the future,
A new vein of energy and excitement might start to pulse through your body and mind,
And you might want to take on more or try something new and different.
When the time is right,
I will lead you there with tender guidance,
But never motivated by a flurry of shoulds,
Woulds,
And coulds.
You are fabulous,
And you're doing a wonderful job right now.
To find release,
Deepen your focus on the breath.
Exhale love,
Acceptance,
And self-compassion.
And with every exhale,
Say goodbye to judgment,
Guilt,
And self-blame.
Breathe in pride in yourself and your efforts.
Breathe out shame.
Breathe in love.
Breathe out perfection.
Breathe in acceptance for where you are right now in this moment.
Breathe out all the shoulds.
Where you are right now in this very moment is exactly where you need to be.
Wrap your right arm across your chest and bring your hand to rest on your shoulder blade on your back.
Draw your left arm underneath your right and bring the hand to the other shoulder blade.
Give yourself a gentle hug.
Trust yourself.
You've got this.
Namaste.
