Traditional musical setting of Savitṛ-Gāyatrī Mantra, repeated 20 times. Good for learning the proper pronunciation and meter (mātrā) of the mantra. May also be looped. The first word of the mantra is AUṀ. In the original Sanskrit, all three letters are pronounced—each one taking one beat—followed by a brief pause (bińdu). There is also a brief pause after the next three words—Bhūr Bhuvaḥ Svaḥ—known as the Mahāvyāhṛti. Each term of the Mahāvyāhṛti corresponds to one leter of AUṀ. Then each word of the Mahāvyāhṛti expands into one line of the mantra.
