The Continuum Of Love (Short version)
by Deana Coble
You are an integral part of the continuum of love. Find that in yourself and live from that space. Let's experience it together! In this meditation, you are guided into the space in yourself that aligns with the rhythm of life. For a longer version of this meditation, you can listen to the extended version also available on this app.

So the continuum of love came from a comment,
It actually kind of spontaneously happened from a comment a friend of mine made,
They asked me,
What feeling is love?
And my response was to laugh and say,
What feeling isn't love?
And in that moment,
Suddenly I felt this beam coming through me,
From the back to the center of me and going as far as I could see.
And everyone had that same beam inside of them.
And it all went back to one source.
And so let's explore finding that in ourselves,
Because everybody has it.
There isn't a person without it.
But are you getting to enjoy the pleasure of feeling it and being in it?
So we're going to connect to that.
And to do that,
We're going to use the breath and breathing.
And breathing together,
And there's multiple reasons why the breath.
The energy of love,
Which is exhaled from the universe,
And is air to us,
When we breathe that in,
We're breathing in that love.
So that's one reason to focus on the breath,
And just breathe that in.
And a second reason to focus on the breath is that it gives our minds a different place to focus than on the thoughts of the day,
The things that are happening.
So we allow our minds to relax in the thinking capacity.
And the third reason,
And there'll be plenty more,
But the third one I'm going to hit on tonight is,
Because in focusing on our breath,
We join the rhythm of life.
And rhythm is so important,
You know,
There's so much to understand about rhythm.
It's why we love to dance,
Or it's why we love a beat.
Or we find ourselves just repeating a certain segment of a song,
Or using our fingers for drums on the table.
Because there's a natural awareness that everything has a rhythm.
Our heartbeat beats in rhythm with this earth.
And together,
We join a universal rhythm.
So we're going to do that by focusing again on the breath.
So let's take a moment to just breathe in together,
Aware that as we breathe in,
We're reminded to go deep inside of ourselves,
To that place where we feel the most us.
We recognize this is our center,
And this is where I feel my center.
And wherever you feel that center is right for you.
So feel that space and just breathe into that space.
And as we do that with one another,
We're sinking to the universe,
And we're sinking to one another.
It feels like time just slows down just a little bit.
And as time slows down just that little bit,
We become aware that this space is the same type of space where we find our zone.
Whether we're an athlete,
Or whatever we're working on,
Whether we're a painter,
Whatever it is.
Just that breath and breathing together,
And slowing that pace down.
Just that space that,
When we get into it,
Time passes and we don't even are aware of it.
And we say,
Yeah,
I was just in my zone,
It just happened so fast.
Or even if it's not happening fast,
It has such a flow,
And it's a rhythm,
And we all have it.
And then we extend that rhythm,
And that slowness of time,
To include that our inhale is the exhale of the universe,
And we're receiving that.
So we breathe that in.
And we time ourselves in connection to the universe.
And it's just like that infinity loop,
And we're just moving through it.
Breathing in the universe,
And exhaling out into the rhythm of this planet.
And we can recognize that that timing is exhibiting across this universe.
Not just in what I'm doing,
But what you're doing.
And this is where synchronicities merge and flow.
And this opens us to the recognition of the continuum of love.
And even if we didn't recognize it,
It wouldn't mean that we weren't in it.
And that's the other beautiful part of it.
We don't often think about our breathing,
But we are.
We don't always recognize that we're in the continuum of love,
But we are.
And no matter what feeling we're feeling,
We're in that space together.
Because the continuum of love is the root of all feeling.
So even if I was to get distracted from my rhythm at any point for a thought,
And I no longer had the focus on my breath and the rhythm,
I would still be activated by this space.
I'd still be breathing in this space.
I wouldn't have the conscious pleasure of it,
But I would still be in it.
As we feel that and breathe into that,
And into the center of ourselves,
Wherever that center is for you,
And we notice that slowing down,
No matter what this space looks like,
We can rest that we are in it.
And it's interesting,
There's nothing particularly active that we recognize in this space.
Because first,
Our bodies have to get used to relaxing into this space.
And ah,
You know,
That's the state,
That's our natural state,
To be at rest and relaxed.
This is the space that the plants and the trees are in,
In this space all the time.
Relaxed,
Not resisting.
The tree does not resist the wind.
The wind blows through it,
Bends its limbs,
Blows off its leaves.
And the tree is relaxed as it moves and returns to stasis,
And moves and returns to stasis.
And see that rhythm.
Everything has that rhythm.
And you have that rhythm.
All animals are in this rhythm.
How often they go from a state of absolute rest,
Just laying,
And suddenly they'll hear a sound and their whole body becomes alert and aware,
Ready to move.
But their natural space is in resting.
And that is the natural space for ourselves,
When we are not over-focused on thought.
When we focus on our breathing and that rhythm,
We may notice that a thought comes,
But we don't have to join it.
And in this same space,
We are able to be active,
To do.
You could find this rhythm and do any chore that you needed to do.
Mow the yard,
Take care of the house,
Get a child dressed,
Get yourself dressed,
Drive to work,
Say hello to your co-workers from this space.
And when we get caught up in the conversation of the day,
To realize,
Oh wow,
That felt very different.
I felt my body tense,
But I'm going to return to this continuum of love that's ever-flowing.
And that nothing is outside of.
What would be outside of this rhythm?
Hmm,
It just keeps going.
I can move,
And do,
And be at rest with my body.
And that brings homeostasis to the body.
And we don't have to be quite so tense.
Our shoulders are relaxed.
We can feel if there's tension in the body,
And invite that into the rhythm.
Any thought can be invited into the rhythm.
And as it's invited,
We just go,
Shh,
Focus on the rhythm,
Because we're not interested in the story of the thought.
Because that story then comes with body sensation,
An interruption to the rhythm.
It's so valuable to step away from thinking.
And it's not a problem if we do.
It's like a dance.
I can step into thinking,
And recognize that,
And dance right back into this space.
And as I do the work that I'm focused on,
I don't have to hear a story in my mind about the work.
I can just do the work.
And then as I hold this space,
And this rhythm,
I feel another feeling inside of me,
But it's not a feeling that is created by a thought.
I could get angry from a thought.
I could get sad from a thought.
I could be happy from a thought,
And it's temporary.
But in this space,
In this continuum,
As I breathe in this rhythm,
There's another type of feeling that I notice.
And as you focus in on that space within you,
And slow that pace and rhythm,
What feeling or sensation do you notice in this space?
It's like a peace that easily turns into a smile.
It's joy,
And it's love.
And that love,
That continuum of love,
Is ever-present,
Ever-feeding your body,
Ever-telling you,
I love you,
And that's you,
That's the real you.
So at ease,
At ease with the breath,
Aligning the mind,
And the body,
And the breath,
And this rhythm,
And that love that is beginning to grow and exude as you notice it.
Isn't it amazing that as your focus is on that feeling,
It grows?
And it has no worry about you.
It has no concern about anything that you've done.
It's present and there,
Whether you were good or bad.
It's not concerned with that,
Because the continuum of love is only loving.
Because all possibilities are present in this space.
And this space that you are,
Loves you unconditionally.
And just breathe that in,
And focus on that space,
And notice the rhythm slowing,
The inhales becoming deeper,
And the love growing.
And allow it to touch every part of your body.
Allow it to feel your legs,
And your feet,
And your thighs,
And your torso,
And your arms,
And your face,
And your chest,
And your mouth,
And your eyes.
Allow it to feel your mind.
Allow it to spawn your thoughts.
Allow it to spawn your communication.
Allow it to love you,
Even when you aren't recognizing that that's who you are.
Allow it to love your past,
And your experiences.
Allow it to love you,
No matter how your mind feels about you,
Or your thoughts feel about you.
Notice that you are more that space than any thought,
And that that space can love your thoughts.
That you can love you unconditionally.
That's who you are.
And as you love you unconditionally,
You have space to love others unconditionally.
And that should you get distracted,
That space holds you in love,
Even in that moment,
And invites you back to this rhythm,
And this pace,
And this space.
And in this space,
You're one with all that is,
And you love all that is.
And loving all that is,
Doesn't mean that you cannot recognize that something is right for you,
Or fulfilling for you,
Or something that you want to step away from.
But as you do it,
You step away in generosity,
In gratitude,
And not from a feeling of the past,
Or any motivation that is different than love.
This is the right space for me,
I'll stay in it.
This is not the space for me,
I'll step away.
And the whole time,
You're at ease,
And at peace,
And loving you,
And loving everything around you.
And let's just enjoy that space,
There's nothing we have to do.
There's nothing that you need to do to earn the right,
Or achieve,
Or prove to be loved unconditionally.
It's the exhale of the universe,
And you breathe that in,
And you pass it on to everything around you,
Without requirement.
And how lovely,
That should we be distracted,
The moment we breathe in,
We can be back in this space.
Because we've created the awareness of how to get there.
And the more we do it,
The stronger it builds.
It's okay if we can only sustain it for a moment,
Because the next time you do it,
You'll sustain it longer,
And sustain it longer,
And sustain it longer.
And one day,
Your thoughts won't be entertaining the way they used to be.
They won't grab you like they used to.
Their entertainment is like smiling at their strange behaviors,
And finding it interesting,
Like,
Oh isn't that cute,
But not being wrapped up in them.
Then when you hit one that really pulls on you,
When you get back into this space,
There's nothing saying,
Why'd you do that?
It's like,
Welcome back,
And you'll build it,
And you'll build it.
And that which used to interest you,
Shifts to staying in this place of peace,
And love.
And then you're acting from it,
And your conversations come from that,
And your looks come from that,
And your communication comes from that,
And it changes.
Even your wave to someone,
And suddenly they're smiling,
And feeling good inside themselves,
And they're not distracted in thought for just a moment.
It's a beautiful space to create.
Continuously reminding us that we are Source,
And what that feels like.
And knowing that this is your relationship,
This greatest relationship you'll ever have,
Is with Source,
Which is you.
And when you spend time with yourself here,
And the rest of that can answer any question,
When you spend time with yourself in this space,
Wow,
It better be something amazing to get you out of it.
And the beauty of it is,
Then you want to be in it,
And share it.
And then you invite everybody else into this space with you.
