Welcome to this transition to fall yoga nidra practice.

Let my voice be your guide to peace today.

Find a comfortable and quiet space to lie down on your back,

With your arms at your sides and your legs slightly apart.

Gently close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to settle in.

As you prepare for this yoga nidra practice,

Become aware of the natural rhythm of your breath.

Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest as you inhale and exhale.

Let each breath soothe you deeper into realisation.

Fall is the season of the metal element.

It is the season that promotes moving inwards.

It is a time for change and letting go.

Releasing stagnant energy.

Releasing bonds that are not serving you.

Releasing habits and even people that are no longer in alignment with our current self or future desires.

Now take a moment to set an intention for your practice today.

This can be anything,

Big or small.

It can be about connecting to this wonderful fall season.

Transitioning.

Growing.

Evolving.

Let your intention be about embracing change.

Letting go of what no longer serves you and welcoming the beauty of transformation.

Now imagine that you are standing in a serene and peaceful forest.

Visualise the leaves of the trees around you that have begun to change colours,

Turning beautiful shades of red,

Orange and gold.

The air is crisp and refreshing,

Carrying the scent of fallen leaves on earth,

Feeling the ground beneath your feet solid and supportive,

Helping you find grounding,

Rooting down deep into the earth.

As you stand in this forest,

You are connected to the grounding energy of the earth,

Energising you from the root down all the way up,

Giving you life,

Giving you support,

Giving you fresh,

Vital energy.

Now imagine the golden rays of the sun streaming through the trees,

Warming your skin and infusing you with a sense of vitality and warmth.

This is the sun of transition,

Guiding you through the change of seasons.

With each breath,

Visualise the energies of fall surrounding you,

The vibrant colours of the leaves that are beautiful and soothing.

As you observe the changing landscape,

Remember that change is a natural part of life.

Allow yourself to embrace the natural change.

As we are ready to transition into the beautiful season of fall,

Let's take this opportunity to connect with our bodies and the changing energy around us.

Turn your attention to your physical body.

Begin to scan from your toes to the crown of your head,

Acknowledging any tension or discomfort.

Now bring your awareness back to your breath.

Observing each inhalation and exhalation,

Let your breath become a soothing rhythm,

Like the whispering of leaves in the autumn breeze.

Gently direct your attention to your toes.

Imagine that with each breath in,

The energy of the earth rises up through your feet,

Grounding you deeply in this moment.

Feel your toes relaxing and releasing any tension they may be holding onto.

As you move your awareness up to your feet and ankles,

Imagine the vibrant colours of fall surrounding you.

Picture the leaves falling gracefully from the trees,

Landing softly on the ground.

With each breath,

Feel the coolness of the earth beneath your feet,

Connecting you to the grounding energy of this season.

Now bring your awareness to your lower legs and knees.

Imagine the warmth of the autumn sun on your skin,

Gently nurturing and revitalizing your body.

Feel any tightness or discomfort melting away as you breathe in the healing energy of the season.

Shift your focus to your thighs and hips.

Visualize your body as a tree,

Rooted deeply in the earth.

Just as the trees shed their leaves in the fall,

Allow any unnecessary burdens or worries to fall away from your body,

Leaving you feeling lighter and more at ease.

Now move your awareness to your abdomen and lower back.

With each breath,

Imagine the crisp,

Fresh air of fall filling your lungs and revitalizing your internal organs.

Feel any tension or stress in this area dissolving,

Like the leaves of the trees falling gently to the ground.

As you bring your attention to your chest and upper back,

Notice how your breath flows effortlessly,

Just like the wind effortlessly flows through the leaves.

Let your heart be open to the beauty and transformation of this season,

Allowing love and gratitude to flow freely.

Shift your focus to your shoulders,

Arms,

And hands.

Imagine the branches of the trees softly moving in the wind,

Letting go of what no longer serves them.

Release any tension in your shoulders and feel your arms and hands becoming light and free,

Ready to embrace the changes that come your way.

With each breath,

Release any tension you might be holding on to,

Allowing your body to surrender to the comfort of the earth beneath you.

Finally,

Bring your awareness to your neck,

Throat,

And head.

Just as the trees stand tall and majestic in the fall,

Feel a sense of strength and clarity in your posture.

Let go of any thoughts or worries that no longer serve you,

Allowing your mind to become as clear and serene as a crisp autumn morning.

Take a few moments to simply be with your body and the energy of the fall season.

Embrace the sense of renewal and transformation that this time of year brings.

Feel a sense of gratitude for your body's ability to adapt and transform,

Just like the seasons.

Now bring your awareness to your emotions and thoughts.

Notice if there are any emotions or thoughts that you're holding on to that no longer serve you.

Imagine them as leaves falling gently from the trees and being carried away by the breeze.

As you release these emotions and thoughts,

Feel a sense of lightness and clarity wash over you.

In this moment of transition,

Let go of what you no longer need and make space for new beginnings.

Now take your time to simply rest in stillness and silence.

Allow yourself to be fully present in this season of change,

Embracing the beauty of fall and the transformative power it brings.

As we conclude this practice,

Remember that just as the fall season brings change and transformation to the natural world,

You too have the power to embrace change with grace and openness.

Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,

Gently begin to awaken your body.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

Slowly inviting movement back into your body.

When you feel ready,

Gently roll onto your side and then,

With your eyes still closed,

Press yourself up to a seated position.

Take a long deep breath in here.

Fully exhale.

One more deep breath in.

Exhale slowly.

Gently rub your palms together.

Then place your hands over your eyes,

Slowly opening your eyes inside the palms,

And then rest your hands back down.

Welcome back.

Know that you can carry the sense of transition and transformation with you into the world.

You have the strength and the resilience to embrace change with an open heart.

Thank you for joining me today.
