Do you suffer from sudden overwhelming fear and anxiety that results in a panic attack? With this simple ancient Pranayama breathing technique, you can lessen the panic and anxiety and find peace. During anxiety or a panic attack, your body goes into a fight or flight mode, almost subconsciously. Your breathing becomes shallow and rapid. Your heart rate increases and you become dizzy. By controlling your breathing and slowing it down, you can interrupt this cycle and reduce the intensity of your panic attack. Practicing deep breathing exercises regularly can also help prevent panic attacks from occurring in the first place.

The first thing I want you to do,

I want you to remove yourself from the circumstance that is causing you anxiety.

Move out,

Move away from it,

Maybe into a corner,

Whatever that space allows you for.

I know it's a difficult situation and now we're going to calm the anxiety,

The panic,

The stress that you have in your mind right now and we're using the tool of the breath for that.

I want you to sit in a comfortable position,

Feet touching the floor,

Your hands on your knees and you're breathing in nice and deep and as you breathe in nice and deep,

I want you to clench your fist tight and when you're doing that you're telling yourself,

I'm bringing in peace and calm and ease in this moment and then as you exhale,

You open your fist out on your knees and you say,

I'm letting go of any stress and tension and anxiety that I am holding in within me right now.

Let's do this again.

Clench your fist tight as you breathe in nice and deep.

I'm bringing in peace and calm and ease in this moment and as you exhale,

You open your hands out and I'm letting go all of the stress and tension and anxiety and panic in this moment and it's flowing out through my hands.

Let's do this again,

Nice deep breath in,

Deep,

Deep,

Deep,

Deep inhale.

I'm bringing in peace and calm and ease in this moment and then you open your hands out and I'm letting go of any stress,

Any anxiety,

Any fear,

Any frustration that I feel within this moment.

I'm letting it go.

I'm opening my hands out and that energy is flowing through and now to replace it,

I bring in peace and calm and ease in this moment.

Nice deep breath,

Allow that calm,

Allow that ease,

Allow that peace,

Allow it in and I exhale stress and tension and anxiety and panic in this moment.

I am in a state of calm.

I'm allowing calm to take over.

I'm allowing peace to take over.

I'm allowing ease in this moment to take over and any worry that I have,

Any fear that I have,

Any anxiety in this moment,

I'm releasing it because it doesn't do me and it doesn't do my soul any good.

Repeat this three or four times to just let go of the energy of anxiety in this moment.

Remember and finally be grateful that you have the awareness to know that you're anxious,

To know that you're in panic and you have the awareness to let it go in this moment.

Thank you universe.

Thank you God.

This is perfect for me. I've been sitting in the Dr's waiting room feeling overwhelmed and anxious , carrying the stress and fear from being with my family, talking about all of the areas they feel let down. Thank you for the space to feel calm in the storm.

Love in this moment as as you have taught the next is different! I will do this whenever and wherever I need calm. The key will be to practice as it becomes second nature to me. Thank you

Calming meditation to use when anxiety and panic emerge. Great tool to practice so you know what to do.
