Welcome,

My name is Denise Jarvie.

I'm a Perspective Shifter,

Soul Mentor and an Oracle and Tarot card creator and it is my absolute pleasure to guide you through this meditation.

This practice is part of a reflection on the mind,

Thinking and the way our inner world shapes how we experience life.

You don't need to do anything special here and there's no need to try to stop your thoughts.

This meditation is an invitation to just gently observe your thoughts,

Just soften the way you feel around them and connect with the awareness that sits beneath the mind's activity.

Find a position that feels comfortable and supported.

Let this be a space where you can slow down,

Listen inwardly and meet yourself with openness and care.

When you're ready,

We'll begin.

Let your jaw relax and if you haven't already done so just let your eyes just gently close.

And in the closing of your eyes you begin to gently let go of the outside world and move into your inner world.

Notice that you are here in this moment and this moment and this moment.

Be fully present in the magnificence of you and just allow your breath to move naturally and flow in and flow out.

Just falling into its own gentle natural rhythm,

Not controlled,

Not forced,

Just breathing.

And just gently notice your breath,

Breathing in the breath of life,

Breathing out the breath of life.

Just notice breath arriving and breath leaving.

And just let your body be breathed and right now in this moment let's honor our lungs.

Feel your lungs expanding and contracting as they do the one thing that we need to survive this life.

Not thinking,

Not eating,

Not love,

But breath.

Let us honor our lungs for they keep the body alive.

And as you're breathing in and out of your lungs,

Just imagine that you are your lungs.

And we're going to draw in your mind,

Or you can do it with your hand,

An infinity sign,

A figure eight on its side.

Just draw that over your lungs because we want to allow our lungs to become balanced.

It will bring balance to your breathing.

It will unstick any sticky breathing and just allow it to just naturally flow.

And now just gently turn your attention towards the space of your mind.

Wherever that may be,

It may be somewhere in your head,

It might be behind your third eye,

It might be at the back of your head,

It might be in your gut,

In your heart,

In your hands,

Wherever you feel your mind is,

Just gently place your attention on the space of your mind.

And a thought will appear.

And just label it quietly without judgment.

Ah,

It's a thought.

Am I doing this right?

I don't understand this.

It doesn't matter.

Whatever thoughts they are,

Just label it a thought without judgment.

And just let it drift.

Just let it be there.

Let it float in and out like clouds.

Another thought might come.

To join it.

Again,

Just simply recognize thinking is happening.

And then just gently let it move through.

And some ways to help you,

Imagine a cloud gently floating in front of you and you can imagine placing those thoughts on the cloud and just watching the cloud drift by.

Or you can imagine a huge ball or sphere of light and you can take those thoughts and you can place them into that sphere of light.

And then push the ball of light,

Push it away until you watch it float into the distance.

The thoughts are still there,

But they no longer carry any weight.

In this moment.

Or you may like to visualize a volume knob starts at one and goes to 10.

And if you're thinking becomes really loud,

Turn the volume knob down.

And so you turn down the volume of your thoughts.

You can use any of these or all of them to help you to quieten your mind.

To allow awareness to come to the fore and your thoughts to just gently move into the background.

And now bring that sense of awareness,

Your focus,

Your awareness into your body.

You're moving now from the space of the mind into your body.

Notice how your body feels.

Notice the sensations,

The temperature,

Pressure points,

Subtle movements might feel vibrations or tingling.

And if your mind wanders,

Just gently return it to sensation to how you're feeling right now in your body.

Let your body be the anchor.

Notice how your body is feeling without judgment.

You're getting to know you through awareness and love.

And now imagine that your awareness is wider than your body.

It's like you can expand it outward.

It becomes a spacious field.

Thoughts come,

Emotions come,

Images come,

But awareness remains,

Quiet,

Present.

Just gently observing.

You're not pushing anything away.

You are just simply observing.

Maybe seeing yourself like this for the first time.

And this is also known as an out-of-body experience.

Just simply observing yourself from a different perspective to gain wisdom and learning and to know yourself.

And now just gently invite this idea.

What I experience is filtered through my beliefs and perceptions.

No judgment,

Just curiosity.

What I experience is filtered through my beliefs and perceptions.

Just let that settle into you and notice any reactions in your body and allow the reactions to be there.

And again,

Just simply observing them without judgment.

And know that life is not accusing you of anything.

Life is showing you how your inner lens colors your experience.

Let that settle just ever so gently.

If self-criticism appears,

Just acknowledge it.

Just let it loosen.

Give each thought more space than usual.

You don't need to fix anything here.

You don't need to stop it.

Awareness is already holding you and holding everything.

For it's expanded out into your aura.

Imagine that your awareness is made up of your higher self,

Your spirit team,

That may be made up of guides,

Angels,

Light beings,

Loved ones,

Non-physical beings,

Interdimensional beings,

Extraterrestrial beings.

Whatever and whoever is part of your spirit team.

You in higher realms.

Expand your awareness.

Open yourself to allow this beautiful wisdom to flow into your knowing.

Gently breathe.

Gently place a hand on your heart.

And acknowledge your willingness to observe.

Your willingness to change.

Nothing has to change today or in this moment.

But you are opening yourself up to know yourself more.

And change parts of yourself that move you.

Move towards a life that you prefer.

See yourself clearly to soften rather than control.

Allow a sense of thanks and gratitude to just simply rise up within you.

This is your body.

Feeling a sense of relief.

You no longer have to hold all that you've held on to.

You can release any old hurts,

Any emotions that are deep within your cells so that your cells can do what they came here to do.

And as each of your cells dies away,

A new one will replace it.

And right now in this moment,

You can imagine that you are flooded with a sense of balance and harmony.

And so every cell now born from this moment onward will be born in harmony.

You will feel lighter.

You may even begin to feel yourself vibrating.

A beautiful sense of tingling moving through you as each cell now celebrates in its potential.

You are so much more than you think you are.

Open yourself to that possibility.

Open yourself to the possibility that all things are possible.

It is your beliefs that decide that.

Bring your focus again to your awareness that is all the way around you.

And imagine that this awareness has a color.

Might be a blue,

Might be a red.

Might be your favorite color.

And whatever color it is,

See that as a bubble of light around you.

And your awareness can move beyond that bubble of light.

But for this moment,

That bubble of light is your expanded self.

You will see further,

Wider,

Higher,

Deeper.

Into every aspect that you look at,

At life.

As you move through this world.

And that bubble of light will allow your vibration to vibe in your authenticity,

To resonate in your authenticity.

And there will be no reason to protect yourself because you will be vibing in balance,

In harmony with who you are.

We don't want to put something around us to protect us because we don't want to live in a world where we need to protect ourselves from things.

We want to move into a higher vibration.

Higher doesn't mean better.

It just means different.

Because you don't need anything to change for you to feel into your dreams and desires right now and start bringing them into being.

But for this moment,

You can imagine that that bubble of light is around you.

And it is just a reminder of you.

It will be a buffer that helps you to stay resonant in the authentic vibration of you.

It will be a buffer as you get to know yourself more.

You are loved and you are loved.

And right now,

If you want to,

You can draw all of that energy closer to you.

Know that you are always safe.

But do what feels best for you in this moment.

Take a deep breath in.

Be fully present in the magnificence of your physical body,

Of your mind,

Of your awareness.

And right now,

In this moment,

Your mind,

Your body and your spirit are all completely aligned.

They are all in agreement with each other and you feel in harmony.

Take another deep breath in and out.

And just before we come back,

Imagine that your awareness is observing your physical body and just notice how beautiful you are.

Seeing yourself through the eyes of your higher self,

Source,

Your spirit team.

You are so loved.

Take another deep breath in and just feel yourself being fully back right here,

Right now,

In this moment and in this place.

And when you feel ready,

Just gently open your eyes and smile.

A wonderful mindfulness practice which I found easy to follow. It allowed me to bring my attention back to my breath. I allowed any thoughts to arise and leave in their own good time. I was able to watch and notice my thoughts. I felt like a calm observer. This practice left me feeling at ease and refreshed.
