Hi,
Welcome,
My name is Diona and this meditation is all about letting go.
So before we begin,
I invite you to find a quiet space where you can let go,
Whether that's sitting comfortably or lying down.
Whatever position allows you to feel most supported so that you can fully surrender for the next few moments.
Close your eyes as you begin to take some deep grounding breaths,
Breathing in through your nose,
Breathing out through your mouth,
Arriving here to this moment.
With every inhale,
Breathing deep into your body,
With every exhale,
Letting go,
Allowing yourself to surrender to your breath.
Continue to take a few more full rounds of deep breath,
Allowing your mind to clear as you begin to notice the space you're creating in your body.
With your next inhale,
See if you can breathe in just a little bit more air,
And as you exhale,
Sigh the breath out as you settle into this meditation,
Giving yourself permission to fully surrender as your breath returns to its natural rhythm.
Letting go is not always easy,
It's a practice in which we release our attachments to desires,
Expectations and outcomes,
Allowing ourselves to accept what is in each and every moment.
Sometimes it looks like letting go of the mistakes from our past,
Our worries for our future,
Letting go of our ideas of who we think we should be and what we think our life should look like.
In a world of infinite possibilities,
When we refuse to let go,
Clinging to moments,
Memories,
Expectations,
We can close ourselves off from the magic that is available to us in each moment.
By letting go,
We are living in the abundance of the present and trusting that when we release the fear,
The uncertainty,
The plans,
Life always ends up surprising us in ways we couldn't have imagined.
Now bring your awareness to something you've been holding onto,
Anything that you feel it's time to let go of.
Perhaps it's comparison or a relationship,
A job or a city.
Maybe it's letting go of outdated beliefs or versions of yourself that no longer exist.
Whatever it is,
Find peace in setting it free.
Detaching,
Releasing,
Like the leaves from a tree or a drop of water into a stream,
Letting go into the flow with grace and serenity.
Know that in every day,
In every moment,
With every breath,
There is an opportunity for you to let go,
To gracefully release what no longer serves you.
To close out this meditation,
Repeat the following affirmation,
Carrying it with you as you continue on with your journey.
I allow myself to let go.
I allow myself to let go.
I allow myself to let go.
And so it is.
