Hello loved one.

Welcome to your weekly reflection.

And while you're more than welcome to do this daily,

The idea is to truly take some time out and really think about and articulate your thoughts on the day's events.

Use this time to train your brain toward an increased awareness and a more harmonious thinking about what's happened this week.

With all the obligations and all the busyness,

We tend to have a negativity bias highlighting what we didn't get done,

How we didn't show up.

It really takes a proactive and purposeful effort to build a fuller picture,

A truer picture.

Acknowledging achievements,

Obstacles and opportunities is going to increase your self-awareness.

It's going to show you that there is always something to be grateful for.

It's going to highlight your strengths.

It will help you distinguish what is in your control and what isn't.

It will provide you an outlet for observing how you bring emotion with your thoughts.

And it will introduce perspective.

This will pave a path of action steps towards opportunity and strengthen your relationships and connections.

I want you to think about your week in three different ways.

First,

We think about the rose,

The peak of our week.

What was the highlight?

Maybe there was a win or an achievement.

Was there something that you are proud of that happened?

Maybe you could think of something you made progress on or some way that you felt loved or appreciated today or this week.

Take a moment,

Think on those thoughts.

And now we move to the thorn,

The valleys of the week or the day.

It's okay to acknowledge what went wrong.

What caused you stress or overwhelm?

What obstacles did you face?

Where did fear or doubt and negativity show up?

Did somebody let you down or disappoint you?

And now,

Now we get to think about the opportunities,

The bud of your day,

The horizon.

What are you looking forward to?

What lessons from the day or the week can you take with you moving forward?

How can you love or support yourself or others?

How can you build upon and focus on your strengths?

This is where we focus on the opportunities for growth,

Happiness and abundance that are right in front of you,

That you've learned from your week or your day that you can take part in tomorrow and the future.

I encourage you to use this full awareness.

The breath of your week of your day expands far beyond what we often think it does.

Remind yourself of all the elements that make you,

You.

All the elements that make your time,

Your experience and your relationships what they are.

Use this to grow,

To be reminded of your strengths and to be reminded of what lies ahead.

You are supported.

Enjoy this next week.

Namaste loved one.

Teacher, this short meditation was just like hitting the pause button on my life. At the end of our first coronavirus lockdown week in the UK this experience was so valuable. This could become one of my regular repair tools in the weeks ahead. Thank you.
