Hello,

Loved ones.

This is Deb,

Inviting you to your yoga nidra practice today.

During this meditation,

I will take you through a practice that helps you peel away at the different koshas,

The energy bodies that hide your true self and inner wisdom.

We will acknowledge the fear distorted by the energy bodies and through a conscious tour of the body,

Breathwork and visualization will access the atma,

Your unchanging blissful self that is innately free of any fear,

Any doubt,

Or limiting belief.

Remember our anxieties,

Fears and stresses,

It's all just energy and energy can be changed.

But first,

It needs to be witnessed,

Observed and accepted.

So we take this time today to face the trigger,

The challengers to your joy in a place where you feel rested,

Safe and in a peaceful state of mind.

As we start to prepare our environment,

Take a moment to get comfortable.

Close your eyes,

Really settle into your mat,

Letting your hands fall to the sides,

Let ankles drop to the corners and feel truly held by the earth below you.

There is no wrong way to be,

Whatever feels right for you.

Know that there is nowhere else you need to be,

No one that you need to please and nothing that you need to be that you are not already.

At this time,

We set our sankalpa for our practice,

An intention,

A way that you want to feel when you wake up.

The sankalpa is brief,

In the present tense and positive.

It could be something as simple as I am safe,

Or maybe more pointed as in more and more I choose acceptance over struggle.

Whatever feels right for you,

Let your sankalpa come naturally.

And now,

Let your sankalpa fade into the air.

And we'll begin with the rotation of consciousness,

Where we take a trip throughout all the different parts of the body,

Swiftly bringing our mental attention from part to part,

Just long enough to imagine a drop of oil or maybe a soft kiss on each part of the body before moving on to the next.

Take comfort knowing that no one part of the body is more deserving of attention than the others.

Every inch gives the same gift of awareness and tenderness.

So give a kiss to the forehead,

To both eyelids,

The bridge of the nose,

Upper lip,

Lower lip,

The chin,

Throat,

Collarbones,

The chest,

Moving to the right side of the body.

Kiss the shoulder,

Elbow,

Wrist,

And each of the five fingers on your right hand,

Thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Little finger.

Then moving back up the wrist,

Elbow,

Shoulders,

Back across the chest to the other side,

Feeling a kiss on the left shoulder,

Elbow,

Wrist,

And each of the five fingers on the left hand,

Thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Little finger.

Now making your way back up the wrist,

Elbow,

Shoulder,

Collarbones,

Back to the chest,

Into the belly.

Kiss each hip,

Down the right leg,

Kissing the right thigh,

Knee,

Calf,

Shin,

Ankle,

Right heel,

Top of the right foot,

Sole of the right foot,

And each of the five toes in turn.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Then make your way back up the leg,

All the way through to the left leg.

Feel a kiss on the left thigh,

Knee,

Calf,

Shin,

Ankle,

Heel of the left foot,

Top of the left foot,

Sole of the left foot,

And now each of the five toes in turn.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Now bring your focus to your breath,

Feeling the natural flow of your breath in and out of your lung.

No effort.

Whatever pace and depth feels good to you.

And as you breathe,

Pay attention to the movement of your belly,

Feeling it rise and fall with each breath in and out.

Really synchronize your breath with the movement in your belly and start counting your breaths backwards.

Twenty-seven to one,

Thinking to yourself.

Twenty-seven belly rising,

Twenty-seven belly falling.

Twenty-six belly rising,

Twenty-six belly falling.

Twenty-five belly rising,

Twenty-five belly falling.

And so on,

On your own now.

And if at any point you lose count,

Simply start again at twenty-seven.

And so on,

On your own now.

And so on,

On your own now.

And so on,

On your own now.

Now,

Wherever you are,

You can stop counting.

Stay alert.

There is no need for sleep.

There is only awareness.

Being aware of the spaces and places that hold you to the earth and bringing your attention to the space between your eyebrows.

The third eye.

The space of dreams and imagination.

Just imagine that you are standing in a field.

You can feel the ground beneath you,

The breeze around you,

And a current of cosmic energy flowing within you.

Really tune into this vertical axis of your body.

Notice how calm,

Centered,

And effortless you feel as you breathe in and out slowly and fully.

With each breath in,

See the vastness of the sky above you.

Touch your head and see it as it pours its beauty and energy into your body through the top of your head and feel the energy coating your face,

Ears,

Neck,

Shoulders,

And arms.

And as more of the sky's energy pours over you,

Feel it envelop your chest,

Flowing down your back,

Filling your belly,

The areas of procreation.

Feel it on your backside and into your legs,

Reaching all the way down into your feet,

And finally through your feet and into the earth.

Now look up at the sky once more and repeat this energy surge,

But with a different concrete energy.

Maybe light,

A color,

Or wind.

Whatever you choose,

See it coat your body,

Starting from the top of your head coming in from the sky all the way to the tips of your toes,

The imagery coming easily,

Flowing eagerly and effortlessly from the crown of your head all the way down into the earth.

Now relax your shoulders,

Feel your arms and shoulders as they form a And now,

Switch your focus and put your attention on the current from the Earth rising up towards the sky.

Imagine the Earth's energy,

Colors of red,

Brown,

Or brilliant greens,

And imagine them coming up from the Earth into your feet,

Flooding into your legs,

Into your root chakra.

It's at the base of your spine,

All that Earth energy traveling now into your belly,

Your chest,

Your heart space.

Flowing into your arms,

Shoulders,

Neck,

Face,

And out the top of the head,

Extending up,

Up into the sky,

Taking with it anything that isn't supporting you,

Releasing any stale or stubborn energy,

Until you feel a fluid,

Free flowing current throughout.

See and feel both currents moving up and down your spine,

Back and forth,

Charging you with energy.

And now,

Now that these currents are active and free flowing,

We can hold space to face your triggers.

Be it people who challenge your joy,

Stressful situations or fears you can't seem to overcome,

It is here,

In this field,

Where you channel the healing energy of Kali Ma,

The Hindu goddess of death and rebirth.

A strong,

Fierce,

And loving energy who helps us consume fear so we can move on with only love in our path.

Take this time to look at your fear,

Look at a trigger or a challenge in the eye,

And simply observe it without judgment.

This difficult feeling,

Describe it,

See it,

And welcome it.

We can change what we accept,

So paint a picture in this field,

One that you can see,

That brings up those uncomfortable emotions.

This is a safe place to recreate these sensations and acknowledge this part of you.

And now,

Imagine its opposite.

What would it feel like,

Look like,

Or be like to witness the opposite state?

This is an opportunity to think boldly and confidently of the you you want to feel,

The you you want to see,

A different version of you,

Unafraid,

Unlimited.

It is the light to the dark,

The warmth to the shadow self.

Now,

See both the trigger and the opposite.

See both versions of you,

Side by side.

Honor them,

Willingly acknowledge what their presence has taught you and can teach you moving forward.

And then make a choice,

Which version will you take with you and which will you leave behind to stay in the field,

To rest peacefully.

Sometimes we unknowingly hold on to fear.

We hold on to the familiar because we are scared to be empty.

But it's only in the acceptance of our shadowed self that we can truly open up to its opposite,

To the courage,

The love,

And miracles that bring the joy,

Growth,

And momentum to our life.

Honor and facing the dark ultimately gives life to our light so we can lead with our very best and most whole self.

So see yourself witnessing a new path,

Accepting your fear that once held you back,

The challenger to your joy or the limiting beliefs,

And feel the currents up and down your body infusing you with strength,

Focus,

And energy.

And let your fear rest in the field.

There is no need for a safe place to be what it is,

Unfixed,

Without burden or judgment.

Now having released your attachment to this fear,

Peacefully and gracefully step into the opposite version of you that speaks to your highest good.

Feel its energy embrace you,

Awakening new life,

New perspective.

And with this new energy inside,

Start walking,

And keep walking forward in this beautiful field.

Walk until you cannot see anything but your footsteps behind you,

Proof of how far you've come.

Most importantly,

Proof of the temporary nature of the limiting beliefs,

Fears,

And frustrations.

They are a part of our life,

And our darkness is a part of us.

We simply have to accept it,

Honor it,

And release it.

As you walk with that reinvigorated self supporting you,

It is time to remember your sankalpa,

Your intention for the practice.

State it three times in your mind,

Knowing there is nothing holding you back from achieving this intention.

Anytime you feel blocked in by your fears,

Come to this field,

Awaken the currents of energy within you,

Call on Kalima,

And honor the triggers with a place of rest and unconditional acceptance.

As our practice comes to an end,

See yourself leaving the field and coming back to your mat,

Lying in savasana,

And bring your attention back to the physical breath and the physical body.

Focus more and more on the space around you,

The sounds,

Smells,

And temperature of the room.

Little by little,

You will start to develop an awareness of your body from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.

You can start wiggling your fingers and toes,

Maybe massage your head back and forth along your mat,

And slowly make your movements a little bigger,

Your breath a little fuller.

Keep your eyes closed,

But keep moving your body slowly,

Maybe bringing your knees to your chest or stretching your arms above your head.

I invite you to roll onto the right side for a few deep breaths before sitting up fully.

Make sure to support your head with your arm,

And take your time.

Take one or more breaths,

Lying on your side,

And when you are ready,

Come to a seated position.

Keep that breath fluid,

Place your hands in prayer position at your heart,

And extend with me your deepest gratitude.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Namaste,

Loved ones.
