I invite you to come to a shape of your choice that you feel most comfortable and supported in,

Whether it is seated or laying down.

Perhaps keeping your eyes open to orient to your space,

Maybe looking around,

Noticing colors,

Textures,

Shapes.

Eventually your eyes may land on something and soften,

Or you may choose to close your eyes.

Movement may feel good for you,

Perhaps a gentle sway of the body,

Or rocking of the head,

Maybe wiggling the fingers and toes,

Or perhaps you choose stillness.

Whatever you choose,

Remember you may change your mind at any moment and come to something that feels best for you.

As we continue to settle in,

Call to mind and hold in your heart the land you are on.

Consider your relationship with the land,

Consider the points of connection your body is making to the ground beneath you,

Honoring how the earth may nourish you,

Body,

Mind,

And spirit.

Now,

If you are a visual person,

You may imagine that you are drawing a circle of protective energy around your body.

If you are not visual,

Perhaps simply feeling into the energy of protection surrounding you.

This circle may be made out of anything you wish,

Stones,

Light,

Water,

Cedar,

Flowers,

Fire,

Or anything else that resonates with you in this moment.

Take a few rounds of breath to visualize or simply feel.

Now imagine yourself as you are in this moment.

Consider your age.

Consider a few of your experiences in life.

Breathe into this and notice what memories appear.

You may choose a specific memory,

Perhaps from the past week.

How does it feel to remember?

Take a few rounds of breath as you continue to notice how you feel.

Now simply observe where in your body you may be feeling emotion.

Remember the protective energy you created and feel that you are safe here.

Now consider your childhood memories.

Consider your childhood self.

You may choose any age that resonates.

Imagine yourself as your childhood self.

What are you wearing?

What are you doing?

Are there others around you or are you alone?

I'll leave about a minute of silence for you to wonder and imagine your childhood self.

Gently tune back to your breath and tune into any emotions you have about remembering yourself as a child.

How did it feel?

And where do you feel those emotions in your body?

Breathe into the areas that you notice emotions.

Slowly shift your awareness back to the protective energy surrounding you.

Perhaps noticing a sense of ease in knowing that you are divinely protected.

And when it feels okay to do so,

This time imagine a memory from your childhood that causes a mild sense of discomfort.

What is your childhood self wearing in this memory that brings a soft discomfort?

Who are you with?

Or perhaps you are alone?

What emotions is your childhood self flowing through?

And where do you feel these emotions in your body?

Now imagine yourself as you are now approaching your childhood self.

Who is feeling a sense of discomfort and unease?

You as you are now greet your childhood self.

What else may you say or do to comfort your childhood self?

Stay with your childhood self offering reassurance for a few more rounds of breath.

Now imagine yourself embracing your inner child after you provided them with a sense of relief.

Envelop them in your arms.

Feel your heart rate synchronize with theirs.

Any remaining tension drifts away as your souls merge as one.

You are forever connected to your inner child.

Make a commitment to honor them,

Perhaps repeating any phrases you may have said to provide them with a sense of ease.

Vow to remember their needs for joy,

Safety,

And nurturance.

Carry their best interests at heart as you move through life.

Whenever they need you,

Stop and listen.

Send gratitude to your inner child for having the courage to face the challenges of life.

Allow them the courage to reveal themselves to you today.

Gently release the embrace and affirm your bond.

Allow the memory of your inner child to fade and tune into your heart space.

How do you feel after connecting with your childhood self?

Keep this memory of merging with your childhood self in your heart.

Gradually shift your awareness to the points of connection your body is making with the earth beneath you,

Noticing the areas that are settled on whatever surface you are on.

Deepen your breath for the next few rounds,

Perhaps extending the exhale longer than the inhale.

When you are ready,

Bring slow,

Deliberate movement into your body by rocking your head side to side,

Rolling ankles and wrists,

Maybe bringing a big stretch into your body.

And eventually fluttering your eyes open.

Perhaps you would like to journal about your experience and any insights you received.

Please take good care.
