Hello everyone and welcome to our daily mindful meditation.
Today we will talk about disidentifying with our ego.
For some of us it can be very easy to get trapped inside of our emotions and our identity,
Thus perpetuating a cycle of living in fear and needing to reinforce our identity.
If you find yourself in moments where you are attached to your emotions or your identity and you want to break the cycle,
I hope you turn to this meditation to help you out.
So please grab a comfortable seat,
Close your eyes and listen.
I am not my ego.
My ego is a tool for me to use for my highest good.
My ego's anger is not my anger.
My ego's fear is not my fear.
My ego's sadness is not my sadness.
My ego's pain is not my pain.
My ego's trauma is not my trauma.
My ego's worry is not my worry.
I am not my ego.
My ego is a tool for me to use for my highest good.
My ego's happiness is not my happiness.
My ego's judgment is not my judgment.
My ego's mind is not my mind.
My ego's anxiety is not my anxiety.
My ego's depression is not my depression.
My ego is a tool,
Not who I am.
In moments where you feel trapped inside of your emotions,
Taking a moment to pause,
Breathe and reconnect with that still center inside of you will help you realize that you,
Your life and existence is much more than however you are feeling in this moment.
I am not my ego.
I am not my emotions.
I am not my identity.
I am not my pain body.
I am not my trauma.
I am whole.
I am healthy.
I am wise.
My ego is a tool,
Not who I am.
I am not my ego.
I am connected to all loving source,
Always.
I recognize that those around me lead equally complex lives as my own.
I am connected to that which is around me.
I am connected to my highest,
Deepest and most true self.
I am always complete.
I am always whole.
I am always at rest.
I am always at peace.
I am at love.
Our ego is a tool for us to use.
Think of it like an arrow pointing to the part of you that needs attention,
Love and healing.
It does not serve us to turn away from our ego.
Like a broken bone that hurts,
We need to turn inwards and see what needs our focus.
Our ego helps us bring us back to our most precious resource,
Our self,
And through it we can learn how to be more loving,
More giving,
And more complete.
Our ego shows us that there are many parts that make up our whole,
So turning to it to understand ourselves,
We can learn to live in our center,
Erasing everything and moving out of our survivalist thinking,
Where we can get locked inside of our emotions and our identity and with it may you find the ability to live completely in each version of yourself.
So out of the many I feel,
The many that we are,
We are one.
Thank you for joining me today.
Please feel free to return whenever you notice yourself overly identifying with your emotions,
Your identity,
Your ego,
Your pain body,
Or your trauma.
Namaste.
