Welcome to the simple yet powerful breath meditation practice.
If you're new here,
Don't worry.
This meditation is designed for anyone,
Regardless of experience.
It's a quick,
Calming exercise to ground yourself in the present moment,
Especially on a busy day.
Sit comfortably in a chair or on the floor with your spine straight,
Feet planted,
Or legs crossed.
Close your eyes and gently place your hands on your lap,
Palms facing down.
Take a deep inhale through your nose,
Feeling the breath fill your lungs,
Expanding your belly.
Hold for a moment,
Then slowly exhale through your mouth,
Feeling your body relax as you release tension.
Inhale through your nose,
Feeling the breath fill your lungs,
Expanding your belly.
Hold for a moment,
Then slowly exhale through your mouth,
Feeling your body relax.
Repeat this two more times.
Bring your full attention to your breathing.
Feel the cool air enter through your nose.
Travel down your throat and fill your lungs.
As you exhale,
Notice the warmth leaving your body.
Simply observe each breath without trying to change it.
With each breath,
Remind yourself,
In this moment,
I am present.
In this moment,
I am enough.
In this moment,
I am present.
In this moment,
I am enough.
If your mind wanders,
Gently guide your attention back to your breath.
When you are ready,
Take one final deep breath,
Feeling the calmness it brings.
Slowly open your eyes.
I invite you to carry this sense of presence with you into the rest of your day.
