Today,

We will focus on having gratitude for ourselves.

We will be journaling,

Affirming,

And meditating.

So be sure to have a pen and paper handy,

And find a place where you can sit comfortably,

And be present and aware.

You can pause the recording if you need to,

And then get yourself settled.

Return when you are ready.

Let's get started by taking a few deep breaths.

Inhale all the way into your abdomen.

Exhale,

Pushing all of the air out through your mouth.

This could feel like a sigh,

Releasing tension as you breathe.

Inhale,

Exhale.

As you get comfortable with your breath,

I want to share this quote with you from Eckhart Tull.

When you go deeply into the present,

Gratitude arises spontaneously,

Even if it's just gratitude for breathing,

Gratitude for the aliveness that you feel in your body.

Gratitude is there when you acknowledge the aliveness of the present moment.

Now go ahead and close your eyes or soften your gaze in front of you.

Take another deep breath in.

Hold it for four counts,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale for four counts,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Pause,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Inhale one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Hold,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And do this for a few moments until you find a rhythm that's comfortable for you.

As we continue our meditation,

You will be present in this moment right here and right now.

Let gratitude arise.

Be grateful for your breath.

Be grateful for how alive you feel as you sit here reflecting and connecting with your mind and body.

Now let's affirm this gratitude for ourselves.

You can say this out loud or quietly in your head.

I have gratitude for all that my mind and body do for me.

I treat myself with love and respect.

Let's repeat that.

I have gratitude for all that my mind and body do for me.

I treat myself with love and respect.

Now we're going to shift our awareness,

Our thoughts to ourselves.

I will be giving you a few prompts and you will write about them in a moment.

But for now,

I would like you to take a few minutes to connect within and really feel whatever comes to you right now as we explore this topic.

What are five things that I appreciate about myself?

This might feel hard.

It's okay if you're thinking I don't appreciate anything.

Just be aware of how you feel when I present this question.

I will give you some things to consider.

Do you appreciate something about your personality?

Your body?

Your specific characteristics?

Your values?

Simply your willingness to be here and do this work.

Anything that comes to mind.

Maybe you think of things that make you feel beautiful,

Strong,

Powerful,

Confident,

Or things you're grateful you're able to do each day.

What are five things that you appreciate about yourself?

Whatever comes to mind,

I hope that you're inclined to smile and I encourage you to do that.

The physical motion of smiling,

The action of smiling deepens your connection to the thoughts and feelings that you're experiencing right now.

Now,

How can you honor yourself from this day forward?

How can you show yourself appreciation and respect?

Again,

If this is a struggle for you,

I will give you some thoughts,

Some ideas,

And you can see what you connect with the best.

You could honor your body with movement.

You could fuel yourself with nourishing food.

You can rest.

You can look in the mirror and say all the things that you love about the reflection that you see.

You can celebrate.

This is all up to you.

How will you feel honored each and every day?

Take a few more deep breaths and open your eyes.

Grab your notepad and pen and we're going to first write down our affirmation.

I have gratitude for all that my mind and body do for me.

I treat myself with love and respect.

I have gratitude for all that my mind and body do for me.

I treat myself with love and respect.

And now we're going to do some writing,

Some journaling,

Reflection on the questions that we just spent some time exploring.

What are five things that I appreciate about myself?

If you put your mind through seed contrast,

We can do creativeAAA on our qualm mind as How can I honor myself from this day forward?

How can I honor myself from this day forward?

How can I honor myself from this day forward?

How can I honor myself from this day forward?

I will give you a few moments to write all the things that you're feeling right now.

But I invite you to pause this recording and continue to write as long as you wish.

Or you could come back to this and see what changes.

You might find some different insight or a different perspective at another time,

A different day,

Or even a time of day.

You might find some different insights or a different perspective at another time.

You might find some different insights or a different perspective at another time.

Lastly,

Is there anything else that comes to mind as you're thinking about loving and respecting yourself?

Anything that you would like to carry forward with you?

As we finish up,

Go ahead and take a few more deep breaths.

Fold your hands over your heart in gratitude for yourself.

Deanna has a gift! This session was extremely calming, the focus is about love yourself, which is a great reminder. The journaling prompts are as always great to get pen and paper flowing. I truly do enjoy these sessions and feel that if you are looking to reset your mindset, or calm yourself the under 20 mins is perfect to do so.
